Did he do this all (mostly) by himself? If so that is like.... wild. It's SO clean. It absolutely bumps in the car too, and I dont even have a system. The bass hits are so powerful but theyre like, melodic too. He killed it.
The entire album legitimately gave me goosebumps. The production is so fucking silky. Every song is so fucking catchy and I can't get any of them out of my head. I'd have happily waited another two years for this to come out had I known it would be such an emaculate project. Please never stop making music.

In the time it took for this album to come out I've managed to move across the country to be with my girlfriend of nearly 4 years. I've come from barely being able to speak to people I didn't know personally to finally become a (somewhat) functional member of society. I swear in the span of 1 year I've aged atleast 10, and your content, whether it be music or the usual uploads has been a major part in getting me through it all. I'm so insanely proud of this entire project, I can hear the love and time in every single note and in every line. You did it man, it was well worth the wait. I doubt you'll see this, but hey, thanks for everything you've put out into the world.

His previous album is MUCH more like Jakey’s music, it was more rap, but this new album is a heavy concept album about death and it’s more of a folktronica album with a few rap moments. It’s definitely not a casual listen. It is heavy, heavy shit that will tear your heart out. But it’s beautiful. Watching it with the album movie is an unbelievable experience. And I’m not trying to trash on Jakey at all by mentioning IDMTHY, I think Jakey bodied this shit and made easily one of the best projects this year. I just believe IDMTHY is truly one of the most underrated, most beautiful albums of the past decade.
The beautiful symmetry of despair and hope in your music is what makes it amazing, you tap into hopeless despair and joyful excitement like no other musician.
Do you ever wanna meet someone famous or successful just to tell how fucking amazing their art really is. The whole album is insane, the videos are pure gold. This man just doesn't miss at all and it just bothers me that I can't express it enough

This project and this song in particular has gotten me through the last few months. A few weeks after it was released, my grandfather passed. He was like a second dad to me, my best mate. When he died I was just angry, I didn't no how to respond. It didn't feel real. The first thing I did after I found out he was no longer with us was listen to this just staring at the sky. It's gotten me through some real dark moments recently. I'm learning to not let his passing haunt my every moment and it's project like Romcom that have helped provide distraction and comfort from the pain of losing a huge part of my life. Thank you so much Jakey for this. You're a saint, you're a soul.

It's always a treat after a 3 course meal. I feel this. When the album was first announced I was going through one of the roughest periods of my life, and I held out that I would keep going if only to hear this album when it was done. I'm so proud of him for accomplishing this and it makes me feel like if he can keep moving despite everything, then I can too, and I think you can too. Before this album I had all of jakeys music in a playlist that went from newest to oldest. I would play it for a month or two straight every morning in 2021 while riding my bike up from Koreatown to Silver Lake. It was a challenging ride for me and every time I hear that playlist it brings me back to those mornings
