That shit is straight up impossible,i tried to do it for about 40 minutes in practice mode,and still only managed to parry 2 kicks at the end
This man did a whole fucking combo after completely parrying the super MID-BATTLE and while he was on the RIGHT side of the screen.
I remember seeing a comment about how absolutely ridiculous the clip is. Apparently, Chun Li's super has a start up that is so quick that you can't actually react to it in time, meaning that Daigo actually had to bait it out AND THEN pull off each of those techs AND THEN pull off his own combo. It's amazing the amount of skill required to do even one part of that, but all three within that small time frame? Godlike, just godlike

That tournament was right at the beginning of League of Legends becoming a seriously big game. Everyone was so hype for tournaments at that time because we all wanted to see what the game looked like at the highest level of play. Also, pentakills (where one person gets the finishing hit on all 5 members of the enemy team in quick succession) usually are a result of very high mechanical skill and are also incredibly rare. Like.... one in 500 games rare. So to have one happen in a tournament game back in 2011/2012 made the announcers absolutely lose it.
Edit: And back then, the time you had to pull off a pentakill was substantially less. I wanna say every kill had to be within ~8 seconds of the one before it or the chain would start over.

It just depends on the popularity of a game. you compete in Smash and you can get a good few thousand dollars every tourney. you play Pokken though and your prize pool is suddenly a fraction of that. you play Starcraft though and you’ll make millions by winning, but because it’s so popular and people take it so seriously you’d have to commit your whole ass life to being good and you’ll probably not win

99 percent of people who saw the DAIGO parry in this video don’t even know why it is so hard. If you don’t know it takes 6/60 frames to parry an attack in street fighter 3rd strike. With that, chum li’s super happens so fast to the point where daigo had to parry at or before Justin Wong using the super. That with him having to parry 15 attacks in a row, he also had to land a punish that did about 50 percent damage.
