I like your "play it by ear" projects. They always come out great. Pocket screws are a nice touch. I like rustic furniture. They usually age really well. After a couple decades, that patina is not easily reproducible. Nothing quite like it. Linseed oil finish? Can't wait for the second part video. Praying for your arm brother. Good job. Be safe.
You are just so incredibly gifted and talented that you don’t understand that the rest of us are NOT! Hanna has also received those gifts and talents! You both simply amaze me, I’m know to others to work my as* off and do a good job, but I don’t hold a candle to you! You Rock!
That table looks great Jeff! My dad built one like that back in 1979 and it was used as a dining table for many years and then a shop table for many more. In 2019 I bought an old farm house and some land to use as a get away place. I refinished that old table and benches and now it is the dining table at the farm house. Gets lots of compliments from those that see it. Lots of great memories too. I am sure yours will be much the same . You should put your name somewhere under it and a date.. Thanks for the great video.
That is one serious table, I doubt it will get moved around much. Those braces you put in I think are called gusset's. Nice job, that's the kind of table that will last for hundreds of years as long as there are no unforeseen disasters.
Awesome work Jeff! See if your buddy and his wife will give you a few pics to show after they finish it the way they (she) wants. Love to see the completed product.
I so love the way you explained everything exactly why you did what you did I love the way you thought about long term and the descriptions that you gave was so awesome thank you he did a great job
Great job Jeff on your table, honestly! Gonna have to build one similar outta 4 10” thick Cedar logs given to me over a year ago with bark still on. Been thinking how to use the Cedar so not to waste any, thanks to y’all for making my decision easier👍😃 Appreciate Y’all... May God’s blessings shine on your family✝️😇🇺🇸
Glad you are keeping busy. I know what its like as back 79 Monday morning after fathers day I had a scaffolding collapse and fell 3 stories and hit a brace just before the ground and all but ripped my right arm off at the armpit
Hey Jeff, might want to put a small chamfer on the bottom of the legs all the way around the edges. That way when they drag it across the floor it won't grab the grain and chip out the edges.
That's awesome table that you have made there in just a day or two. That would take most ppl week/weeks to make and you did it just a day or two with a bad arm. Good job. Take it easy on the arm tho. Hate to see ya gag it up before deer season and all. But Thanks. God Bless y'all! Preciate y'all.!!
Well done buddy I love seeing when someone takes pride in the work they do and the work will always show the pride a person takes to do it bad or good 👍. Nicely done!!
Jeff I just wanted to let you know you are seriously my favorite RUclipsr your so humble and down to earth and have a great relationship with your daughter... Also I love the cobbler video you two done also.. keep them coming can't wait to see some more catfish cabin videos.and I hope your arm heals quickly and properly
That's a very beautiful piece of work there. You definitely need to take it easy on that arm, you're going to feel it for the rest of your life. Take care of yourself sir, there's only one of you. I wish I had heeded that advice many years ago myself.
That is one beautiful table, really like the rustic/rough look. Would love to see it completely finished, when they clear coat laquer or oil finish, that grain in the wood is really gonna pop!!
That's a nice lookin' table and bench setup!! Also, not surprised you're working with your arm in a brace!! I'd be doing the same thing........can't keep a good man down!!
Good job on that table. Nothing exotic but better then all the ones I've seen on youtube, gives a real nice feel to the table which is what a table for the home is suppose to be. Not these 100 lbs of epoxy, waterfall junk.
Enjoy the videos, good to see people still getting it done the right way. For the love of God, please get a microphone, so us older folk can hear yall. Thanks
I've just started watching you and Hannah recently, you guys are great people, you do it all, a Craftsmen and a great dad, the world would be a better place with a bunch or you and your family and friends. The table is beautiful if I didn't live in Pittsburgh PA I would have you build me something. You are a stand up guy, please take it easy on your arm. You need both for the work and play you love to do.🇺🇸

I think the only thing that would make that table look a million times better is a big heaping plate full of fresh cooked bacon!
They call me Bacon ...OR venison or wild hog or any wild meat. With sides of anything Southern style Lord their food is delicious 😋
