- Got a buddy of mine that’s been wanting a farm table, so I put one together for him today! Live edge yellow pine from my sawmill! Rustic table and bench! Hope y’all enjoy!

Pocket screws are a nice touch.
I like rustic furniture. They usually age really well. After a couple decades, that patina is not easily reproducible. Nothing quite like it.

That is one serious table, I doubt it will get moved around much. Those braces you put in I think are called gusset's. Nice job, that's the kind of table that will last for hundreds of years as long as there are no unforeseen disasters.
Excellent work Jeff!!! That's one of those pieces of furniture you can hide under when bad weather is comin'!!! Speaking of which, it's 4:00 a.m. here while I'm sitting up watching the weather news while Tropical Storm Isaias is running over NC and Virginia!!! Can I borrow your table? :-)

Glad you are keeping busy. I know what its like as back 79 Monday morning after fathers day I had a scaffolding collapse and fell 3 stories and hit a brace just before the ground and all but ripped my right arm off at the armpit

Hey Jeff, might want to put a small chamfer on the bottom of the legs all the way around the edges. That way when they drag it across the floor it won't grab the grain and chip out the edges.

Good job on that table. Nothing exotic but better then all the ones I've seen on youtube, gives a real nice feel to the table which is what a table for the home is suppose to be. Not these 100 lbs of epoxy, waterfall junk.

That table looks great Jeff! My dad built one like that back in 1979 and it was used as a dining table for many years and then a shop table for many more. In 2019 I bought an old farm house and some land to use as a get away place. I refinished that old table and benches and now it is the dining table at the farm house. Gets lots of compliments from those that see it. Lots of great memories too. I am sure yours will be much the same . You should put your name somewhere under it and a date.. Thanks for the great video.

Great job Jeff on your table, honestly! Gonna have to build one similar outta 4 10” thick Cedar logs given to me over a year ago with bark still on. That is a very nice table!! Might look really good with the woodgrain burned and then lightly sanded and a clear coat of epoxy to seal it!!

I think the only thing that would make that table look a million times better is a big heaping plate full of fresh cooked bacon!
They call me Bacon ...OR venison or wild hog or any wild meat. With sides of anything Southern style Lord their food is delicious 😋
@@unclefuddelmer9224 a wild turkey wrapped in bacon stuffed with venison wild hog and some bacon. With a single 1/4 leaf of lettuce as a salad. Gotta make it a healthy meal with a salad.

Looks like a good butchering and or sausage making table. Bench is for propping one leg up so your back doesn't go out.
