My dad made me start helping build barns when I was seven. He was a jack of all trades and master of none as the saying goes. I passed most of that to my son. I truly respect your work. From timber-framing courses I took, we called those things you erected "bents". I was surprised not to see two pulleys on your first bent after you secured it to help lift the other bents. Hannah MUST be a trooper.
Jeff Baron is a true craftsman! He’s part of a dying breed, kids nowadays don’t want to work hard for the most part. If I ever had a house built it would be special to have it built by Jeff Baron!
Had raised 2 girls and only one wanted to hunt and fish win me but All good things come to an end. Wife didn't like me and daughter got married. Had a grand daughter named Hannah who liked to work with me in the wood shop but she got married and babies and wood shops don't mix. We make baby beds from fell timber on the farm and gave them away to help young girls who had an oops. As you say, Appreciate y'all.
You guys are great , and you are an awesome carpenter sir !!!! VERY GOOD WORK ! The view ,sit inside and hunt ,balconies on each end is the way to go !
Jeff, you crack me up little Rudolph talk about Hannah’s nose says so cold out there. I love watching y’all y’all are awesome. Good job Jeff appreciate y’all Johnson.😂
The way Jeff and Hanna kid around I bet the banter between them while working is hilarious. Great to see that kind of interaction between father and daughter.
We recently bought a 1 acre spot near a GREAT Ky. rver/lake and this is EXACTLY what it needs...Thank you 2 soooo much for the drive to build this myself!!! LOVE the "A" frames..:)
The amount of work you put in is awesome. Your design on this house is beautiful. Love the shape of it not quite an A frame which I really like. No worries of snow build up while your back home. Its gorgeous Jeff. Enjoy it , the world needs more barrons in it.
I'm really glad to see you on a video saving money you processed all that wood that's awesome because OSB 7/16 used to be $8.97 now it's $30 a sheet just for 7/16 great job on that cabin wow it looks beautiful can't wait to see it
Gotta say Jeff. I use to run mobile crane for some construction companies....you two are way better than some of the companies I've seen. Great job. You too Hannah!!! You the 💣!! You guys are obviously bust your butts and are doing well for yourselves!!!
Nice build Jeff, Hannah, and the boys. Hannah find the lid to that burning Barrel. Have Coedy weld a stove pipe on top of it and a handle on the other side. You can get a lot closer to the heat without dealing with the smoke in your eyes. Not that you had a whole lot of time to stand by the heater.
I've worked around some good carpenters in my lifetime here in Oklahoma bud, but you are very good at coming up with and making it happen on the fly. If you need help throwing wire in it, I've been in the electrical field for 30 years.
Beautiful cabin ! Love Kansas- mom born there - relatives still farming there - we are all out west in Oregon and Washington- I’ve been building small cabins along the Colombia river in Eastern Washington for years !! Love your cabin style - nice room for a fairly small footprint! Enjoy your videos! Straight to the point - get- er - done - !!!!
Excellent job there Mr Jeff and the always Beautiful Hannah! That cold weather must be aggravating You Hannah but the Building is fabulous! Preciate Y’all! God Bless!👍❤️🇺🇸
Put balconies on it n ya have shooting platforms...put a little corn out by the pond n hell ya wouldn’t even have to get dressed lol. Great work ya all, thanks for sharing
I’m with you, I was raised in Southern California and working in the cold is rough. I watch videos from Canada and they’re out there scraping the ice off of logs so they can run them through the mail build your house when it’s 15 below. 😂😂 i’d have to sit in my car for three months until it warmed up.
That's gonna be a pretty sight to behold when that cabin is all said and done, I tell you what! You seriously should consider putting some balconies on it. It's such a nice view from the 2nd floor. 👍😉
It appears that your recently repaired arm is doing real good, so good to see you can still work at such a high level!!!!!!!! Thanks for the fine video and God Bless you aways!!!!
Excellent job building, & setting all the trusses! Great that you got the second floor down also! The cabin design is beautiful, with a excellent view from the open ends! Love you guy’s, be safe, stay healthy, God Bless everyone! Happy Holidays.
Rig up a pulley and rope, use truck to pull trusses upright (anchor bottom!) :) I used a 4 wheelers winch this way to build a cabin a few years back.. had to anchor the 4 wheeler to a truck though..
I would love to have a even a fraction of your building knowledge. Keep on making vids. I'll keep trying learn what I can. God bless and "preciate yall".
Hay y'all ! The only complaints I have . Your living my dreams ! LOL . Great job , can't wait to see it completed . My cabin was to be 16x32 A frame but close to same . Keep up the good work and enjoy . God bless and happy holidays from Michigan !
I'd call it a modified "A-frame". And a damn good idea. I like your 80. Looks like "retired" farm ground. Good that you were able to haul some of YOUR lumber up from home. I'm 200mi S in OK and there is nothing colder than a damp N wind out here in the plains. You don't have to be from BAMA to notice that!😁
The world needs more Jeff Barron's in it. It woul be a much much better place. Great job again guys!
You'll do good work and hunting I enjoy you'll videos
I agree with that it would be a whole lot better place
love how you call her goob.. I have a nickname for my daughter also. She always smiles when using it. A bond that can't be described
I’ve been a carpenter for 30 years and have exclusively done big custom homes for the last 23 years. That is impressive. Straight and sturdy for sure.

The amount of work you do in a day is simply astonishing! And you make it look effortless! Love to watch you guys work.
The man is a beast forsure
A man's man!
Amen to that
Thank the Lord for modern tools! He would do it, but Jeff with a hammer and nails and just his arms for lifting! Wow!
I love the fact that the design gives you way more room both upstairs and down then a simple a frame.. great job both Jeff and Hannah...
Jeff, you are so fortunate to have a daughter that works and likes to spend time with you , enjoy your holiday, Hi Hanna enjoy your pod casts .
Had raised 2 girls and only one wanted to hunt and fish win me but All good things come to an end. Wife didn't like me and daughter got married. You two are very impressive in construction, animal stuff and cooking. Thanks!
By next fall you won't even need a tree stand. Just hunt from the upstairs windows. Great soil for food plots to keep them coming in.

You the man Jeff!! Looks great!!
Love your work Jeff and Hannah
I'm liking it !!!! Awesome idea for a house, let alone a camp !!!!!! Good job.
Having lived in Kansas for 3 years, You can not hide from the Kansas wind and you can't run in the Kansas mud. Great Video
.
Nothing better than a great Dad/daughter team. Thinking a nice deck on Hannah's end for a little deer sniping would be handy!
You don’t need help. Talent is that talent does.
Excellent job building, & setting all the trusses! Great that you got the second floor down also! The cabin design is beautiful, with a excellent view from the open ends! Love you guy’s, be safe, stay healthy, God Bless everyone! Happy Holidays.

Set your first one really good and put a 4:1 block and tackle um up. I built my whole timberframe with 2 block and tackles myself. My best tools.👍🏻
Wow....only two ppl building this.....blows my mind.....awesome job....choice
Really looking good can't wait to see it finished. Take care and have a blessed week. Try to stay warm.

Genius design!
i like how you did the middle beam for the foundation.
Lookin good. You guys always have such good videos. Man I got to tell you, I could live in that "Hunting Cabin" full time.
That’s awesome! Cant wait to see the finishing product
I say definitely a balcony/shooting house on each end!
I think you should use some metal straps across the lathe, x on both long sides. Just having dealt with snow and wind too
Seasons Greetings from CT, you're making quick work of the cabin, really impressive!!
Good job
Wow awsome. Good team work,,,be safe,,,that's some heavy stuff....
Impressed with your work, I want to build one cool looking house.
You have an awesome helper
