This is a super helpful video. I would recommend having the music a little quieter and the lightsaber a little louder as it is difficult to hear the blade editing options
This vid was a lifesaber when learning my saber. It was my second saber (I got my first one 11 years ago) but unfortunately it flickered white so I figured it needed a charge but now it doesn't do anything. Sent an email to the builder but it's disheartening since I'm from australia haha. Still thank you guy so much for helping me understand my saber :D
I'm going to say it again... GHv3 is the best core today, even in 2024. It got more than enough blade effects on top of other blade effects to customize on. 35+ sabers sounds that you can also change its colors. Though one can get creative the Proffie, it requires more work. With GHv3 the headache isnt needed.
My favorite board and might be till something else just like it comes out or GHv4 hits the market. I just can’t deal with Proffie. I want my saber to look like the movie. Turn on, flicker, turn off. Beside showing the other blade styles on the show I never use them for anything. Simple flicker blade.

Hi love your videos and subscribed. Just wanted know on the Golden Harvest how you would select options on a Rey lightsaber with no buttons? I’m assuming instead of button you twist the wheel?
My GHv3 lightsaber is somehow in a sleep mode. The power switch blinks, but don't turn on. I do see different lights when turning the blade, but I can't come back to the normal mode of the saber. I did pull the battery in and out, but that did still not help. Saber is brandnew and did work in the beginning, so I have done something - can you help, oh wise Collectors Outpost - THANK YOU FOR THE BEST CHANNEL EVER...

I watched your tutorials, exitedly made adjustment to full volume only to find it didnt change. It has been this way from new. Any ideas on what to do? I also have a couple saber forge hilts and they are not very loud. You can get in to the code and turn it up more but do touch base with saber forge about that.
My top layer blade effects button push isnt working for me. Very anyone have this issue ? Like i can turn saber for bottom effects , wave etc, but when i push button ... nothing.

It’s one of the 2 layers of blade effect you can apply. Turn blade on, get to blade effect by click and hold power twice as seen in my video. Once in blade effect that later of effect is the click power. Just keep clicking till you cycle through them and it’s off. You have 2 layers of effects (click power, twist saber)
Might be on the wrong effect don’t slot. Go in the menu and keep changing it. I forget what number it should be on off hand but that may be the problem.

Heyo there John! Love your vids! But a quick question, would you say that the “Wave 1” blade style is comparable to Cal Kestis’ Blade Pulse? I’m debating if I should get a Fallen order hilt in GHv3 or Proffie 🤔
I just got my ROTJ neopixel and encountered the same issue where I set the RGB setting and thought something was broken! Vader Sabers referred me to this video, which I will be going over repeatedly to completely get a handle on this beast. Question--when you use any other blade effect aside from "Classic 1", does your blade ignite / shoot up a different color before switching over to the color you set originally? I've tried this with different effects and it seems to happen with all of them. 🤷♂ Overall I'm VERY happy with this and the Graflex I got from them! Even if they don't work ideally, the hilts alone are beautiful.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I should have the ignition set to just the basic bottom->top ignition style. There’s another one where it ignites in a different light first? Also the color change only happens during ignition on specific blade effects (like classic 2 and 5) and not others (like classic 1 and 3). 🤷🏻♂️

Hey guys, does anyone know how to change music when I have gesture controls enabled? I can activate one track but if I try to change to the next one the blade just turns on.
Take the blade out. Turn it on. Does it work like a flashlight? Then it's base lit. If you have no light at all without the blade, it's neopixel. Pretty simple.
When I went to effect font slot, it erased all my colour profiles and set them all red, and since I had white as a custom I couldn’t get that back! As I was hoping to set some of my profiles with a slight blade flicker like in the films. Is there a way to do that BUT avoid erasing any custom settings??
Hey I’ve had mine for about a year now and I still can’t figure out how to change the ignition effect. It comes out with a delay and retracts with a general grievous cough.
I believe ignition and retraction was a firmware update after I made this video. All the new versions I have now include a ignition and retraction setting in the edit saber menu.
Hi. How do you know when the sound core is done charging? I've had mine for awhile now in my SaberBay custom saber, really is amazing in person :P Mine has the blue light when its plugged in and charging, does the button light turn off when its done charging?

My saber doesn't have a white color on it's own but I noticed one of the saber effect options, think it was wave 6, is fully white and I managed to get the flickering wave effect it has to stop, though the light itself is pretty dim. wondering if you've had any luck
The text files on the SD cars? Nooooo I don’t know enough about that. I simply just drop sound fonts on it and move on. There are so many Settings hahaha

@@olgerdsafranovic5002 Yeah I understand. Truthfully Xeno is a plug and play kind of think. All presets that you select ready to go. Golden Harvest you kind of have to design what you want it to look like. and Proffie unless you know how to design and code everything in the computer software then you have no option but what is pre installed beside changing the colors. Xeno was my first high end saber and i'm more than happy with them and they are the lower cost of the bunch. Golden Harvest will give you a bit more design options but it's work hahaha. Proffie I have not even bothered with because I don't have that kind of time in my life right now to learn how to code everything. Normally my go to effects on blades are they just turn on and pulse (breathe in and out) and I leave them set there. Xeno is perfect for that. It's kind of hard to not like what xeno offers you for that price. really the best option. and if it's your first saber I always would recommend xeno. They are really great.

No at least not this version. I’m not sure if golden harvest has Bluetooth, but they may. I haven’t had a golden harvest come through here in a long time since the main manufacturers of these light sabers stop shipping them.

That’s in my new GHv3. When in saber editor go to ignition type and hold down the button until you enter. Then select blade type and then it allow you to change the type of ignition. All you have to do is turn the saber and I’ll scroll through the different ignition styles.

The Function for th Lockup can also be set in the Editor when the Saber is off! Its in the Battleconfiguraton, I set mine to "Button and clashing!

The twist part I would think is the “button” on the Rey saber. I can’t imagine it working any different.

I don’t think I’ve seen that happen before. I don’t know why it changed all the blades to every font.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost Yeah, it is unusual. I changed one soundfount to be blue and then all the other sound fonts starting igniting and staying blue.

No. You would have to replace all the audio file yourself with something else if you can find someone that makes all the files

My GH saber doesnt narrate nearly the same amount of stuff like all the blade effects. Is my firmware just put of date or something?
You may have an older firmware on yours. I have a newer one that I use in that video and I have a couple of more options as well.

I you’re talking about ignition type. You can pick different ignition style in the editor

How’s the smooth swing on the golden harvest? I have a sn4 and I am not impressed with the “smooth swing”
Snv4 is pretty awful in any accent swings. And a bunch of other problems. I stopped reviewing snv4 for now till things are fixed.

I don’t recall coming across a specific setting for blaster block. But I may have missed it.

What length size is your blade?
I use 32inch normally

I heard you could do pre-ons and pre-offs. How can I do them?
If you can I haven’t found that yet. I’m pretty sure I walked through everything I had here in the manual. If I did miss something that’s my bad.

What Cal hilt is this?
That was a TXQ version but I believe they no longer make that version. Many new ones tho.

Just pull it out they only have stand bye really. Most don’t have a kill switch.
