hi, quick question, If i have an illuminated led ring on my switch where would i wire the led connections to the board? would it be to one of the led pads or do i bridge the connection with the neopixel leds?
If the led switches are not rgb but regular 1 color, use the golden harvest manual to follow accent led switches diagram. I kept the led accents separate from the the led pads
@@PakkenTech so according to the manual the accent led pads are 5,6,7,8,9 as shown on their diagram. Wiring the button to any one of these pads should be fine correct?
@@PakkenTech Hey Shane, I know it's a lot to ask, but the next time you have a Malevolence Battle Staff to upgrade to neopixel, please....please....please make a video of it. I have one coming from SaberForge and I would like to upgrade it to neopixel. I take it, it's not too difficult, but you are more of an expert in doing a saberstaff than I am. And it's a project I would like to do. Thanks.
@@PakkenTech Yeah, I saw that on the schematic. You use a 22-guage wire to bridge all three negative pads, another 22-guage wire to the main activation switch, and the third, a 28-guage wire to the DIN (data) pad. It would be interesting to see how they have it set up on the Battle Staff. Then I can make heads or tails of it lol. If there are two boards in the saberstaff, then it shouldn't be that difficult to do.
Highly recommend that you use this link: www.thecustomsabershop.com/LedCalc.aspx That will help. I would probably resistor only the red led, gbw should be fine
Great tip with the heat shrink on the claws
thanks for sharing.
Very cool!

1st build question. What king of wire do you use? 😅
Pixel and power I use 22awg
What's the purpose of bridging the wire across the 3 LED pads? Would one LED pad be enough to power the blade?
When you are running neopixel (it's a whole blade strip) it requires 3 negatives shown on the manual

Can I see a picture of your diagram?
