    35 years and you're literally the only other person I've EVER heard say "practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect". My theater coach lived by that and drilled it in to our heads in school and it's so true. This is a very well done tutorial. You really break down all of the mechanics and techniques well. MTFBWYA

      I've said this ever since I was a kid taking taekwondo they told us the term "practice makes perfect" is wrong but "perfect practice makes perfect" or basically practicing the wrong way will set bad habits in but practicing the right way

    lightsaber spinning is very similar to bo staff spinning but I feel you can do more with a staff because you can hold it on different areas and let it touch your body

      I've found using a heavier bo staff (ash wood) let's me use the momentum to feel where it is going and work with it, rather than fight it.

    Funnily enough the spin is something obi wan never does otherwise
    It only happened because the two knew each other's moves so perfectly that each lethal strike was garenteed to be blocked and perfectly countered without them even needing to commit,so it just resulted in a moderate amount of spinning

      Except they would have landed because they are deliberately missing each other while doing the spin when there was no block or counter available. It resulted in an extreme amount of pointless spinning when either could have killed the other with 100% certainty about 5 times.

    Wow that was awesome! I've been spinning since I was a kid and whenever my friends asked me to teach them I could never do it effectively. I always just say it's "more of a feeling thing".     I watched several of these, and they were good, but something about this one, I was able to get the muscle/body movements down, even without a sword or stick in my hand. So by the next day when I did, I could pretty much do it. And I have been just getting more confident with it, as I go.
    I did already do Bo Staff and Kali, so I was familiar with these movements. I did try to learn the Obi Ani years ago, but I never got it really, but watching this, it just took a day.

    I remember the spin from Episode 3 but I've always thought it was flashy, unrealistic, and impractical to do during an actual duel. It's basically just a fancy dance move you can do to impress people who don't know anything about swordfighting.

    This video made me master this spin. Actually, this video made me buy my first lightsaber, now I have four. Well three, I destroyed my first one by spinning in my garden which has no grass. And then it's best to not let your saber fall.... Which I didn't..... Multiple times 🤣🤣

    Thank you, all the other tutorials had you put it up right against your back as a step, which despite me having 10 years in stage combat, still made it deceptively difficult. The trace your waist part is a much better way of explaining the movement in a dynamic way.

    I have a real lightsaber. It cost $1.2 million. Lasts about 17 seconds. And I forgot step 1. Stretching. I was on the 23rd floor of a skyscraper when I dropped it. I own the building owner $377 million in adusted dollars because it melted through all the floors until it hit concrete in the basement. You should really post a disclaimer because my liberal lawyer says it's your fault somehow that I'm stupid with high energy weaponry.

    Great video, very clear instructions. However the part where u put it by the hips and spin it back was a bit unclear, I struggled with the movement, and after slowing your actually move down I found it to be different and more complicated then the instructions

    I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to find someone who can do this and is teaching it. BTW I love that you didn’t edit the outtakes. 😂 Also I just watched your Saber brand quality video.
