As a 42 year old who searched for meaning by moving all over... this is the best advice. You have to learn to be happy just existing where you are and finding joy in the little things or you risk losing everything. Ive done it several times. Do not recommend having to restart your whole life at 30.

When you’re so used to surviving and functioning in a consistent state of chaos the brain and body will fight through with you, and when you get to a place of peace it’s suddenly terrifying and you can’t figure out how to function without just “surviving”. When you’re suddenly safe, happy, in a peaceful place, it can cause you to FREAK and self sabotage just to get back to the familiar comfort and distraction that is chaos. The fear of the happy being taken away not being in your control can cause you to to try and “fix” things by self sabotaging your current situation first so no one else can catch you when you let your guard down. Throw yourself into doing the barn, go travel to remote areas. You’re in Colorado, hike to remote waterfalls and just sit there for an hour and you will feel peace and clarity. My husband and I have to do a yearly weeklong mountain trip where we hike non touristy hikes to waterfalls and tune out the rest of the world and let ourselves feel peace and be present in the moment instead of the constant “what’s next” mentality. That’s even harder for him, he’s a firefighter and seriously struggles when not having constant chaos lol. I’m about to turn 33 and it’s taken me the last few years to truly work on finding ways to be content and satisfied in the present and cherish all the small things. Content and satisfied are not bad, they’re amazing and bring comfort and peace. Happiness is just like any other emotion, it can’t be a 24/7 thing, however we can find happiness everyday and understand it’s just a rollercoaster of emotions because every day and every week our hormones will also f*ck up our brains and emotions on top of what life throws out. I know I sound crazy, but go hike to a waterfall, checkout from the world and soak in the memories of the moment.
You should flip houses as your side hustle! It’ll give you an outlet to always feel like you’re getting a fresh start and you and Lucas could do it together 🥺

I rearrange my house like once a month to feel like I have a change of scenery. Work on little projects in your house to make it even more special! I turned 28 in August and I will say I’m so happy a few years ago I discovered adulthood is a scam. There is no timeline. No one knows what is going on. No ones know what they’re doing because everyone is living their age for the first time. And learning all this has been THE BEST for my mental health. Live in the moment. And live for you. ❤🎉

The only time I've ever cried about a birthday due to fear of aging was right before 27. I'm turning 37 in 2 weeks and I still feel kinda young, funnily enough. And I also now realize how truly young 27 was!

My mom said to me, "You'll never be single digits ever again" and for some reason, that really made something snap in my head. And every year, time seems to go by faster and faster, slipping away. I've felt like Morgan back when I was 27, and I'll feel the same way each year that passes. It's a very humbling feeling, and a reminder that we're not here for long, so don't take life too seriously, have fun, and make your time worthwhile. Grandma really had the best advice out of everyone in the video. And my own grandma, her last words to everyone were "Go live your life".
Morgan has learned the art of not giving a fuck about what others think! I also learned that around this age, that everyone is too busy thinking about themselves to even care about you or think about you. SOOO agree with your friend about 27. It was my favorite age! I felt like a full blown adult but still young and vibrant. Plus, like you said, it is about the age where you just gain a sense of clarity that makes life so much nicer.
Be blessed you have a loving family, are able to afford to bulid your own house, able to buy your own groceries, have mercedes worth over $70,000 im sure, able to spend $30 on a mini version of K18. You have a lot more than many Americans do right now. Everyone is going through things in life right now, I was told to start a gratitude journal and it really puts things in perspective.

I, too, struggle with what to do after the completion of projects. This year, I finished grad school, lost my fur baby of 15 years, celebrated 10 years (and counting) of marriage to my beloved husband, and I’m almost done renovating my home. I am 0% sure what to do next, and it’s a scary feeling. Projects become your identity and leave little room for anxiety or depression. Believe me when I say you’re not alone and although I’m preaching to the choir, don’t self-sabotage for the sake of giving yourself a new project. I have dyed my eyebrows with just for men every week for years (my eyebrows are translucent with virtually no hairs and my hair is dark brown 🙃) so here are some tips! Always put Vaseline on the skin around your eyebrows so it doesn’t stain if you get a little messy! I use an old makeup brush. I also use an old makeup brush to apply the dye to make sure I get an even coat. You can also kind of leave it on as long as you want, it won’t look bad, but make sure not to wipe it off too early or it’ll look patchy. I leave mine on for 30 minutes usually bc my eyebrows really don’t want to keep the dye in lol. I got the tip to use just for men from Jenna Marbles ❤

I turned 28 in August and I will say I’m so happy a few years ago I discovered adulthood is a scam. There is no timeline. No one knows what is going on. The only time I've ever cried about a birthday due to fear of aging was right before 27. I'm turning 37 in 2 weeks and I still feel kinda young, funnily enough. And I also now realize how truly young 27 was!

@@aaalysssaahhh That's how I feel as time keeps going by. I've been too aware of my mortality since I was 10. My mom said to me, "You'll never be single digits ever again" and for some reason, that really made something snap in my head. And every year, time seems to go by faster and faster, slipping away. I've felt like Morgan back when I was 27, and I'll feel the same way each year that passes. It's a very humbling feeling, and a reminder that we're not here for long, so don't take life too seriously, have fun, and make your time worthwhile. Grandma really had the best advice out of everyone in the video. And my own grandma, her last words to everyone were "Go live your life".

Morgan has learned the art of not giving a fuck about what others think! I also learned that around this age, that everyone is too busy thinking about themselves to even care about you or think about you. We are all inherently egoistic in that way, and it is extremely freeing to know that no matter what you do, you can still do it.

SOOO agree with your friend about 27. It was my favorite age! I felt like a full blown adult but still young and vibrant. Plus, like you said, it is about the age where you just gain a sense of clarity that makes life so much nicer.
Be blessed you have a loving family, are able to afford to bulid your own house, able to buy your own groceries, have mercedes worth over $70,000 im sure, able to spend $30 on a mini version of K18. You have a lot more than many Americans do right now. Everyone is going through things in life right now, I was told to start a gratitude journal and it really puts things in perspective.

Your not happy because you dont know how to be. Your happiness has always been found amid chaos. Now you have stability you dont have the distractions and your being forced to be happy in a different way. It geta better trust, the days are long but the years are short, life is to short to live in chaos. You got a career a man a home be proud of that, but the roaring 20s girl its times to grow up and i say that with love but the chaos can become your identity if you let it
I, too, struggle with what to do after the completion of projects. This year, I finished grad school, lost my fur baby of 15 years, celebrated 10 years (and counting) of marriage to my beloved husband, and I’m almost done renovating my home. I am 0% sure what to do next, and it’s a scary feeling. Projects become your identity and leave little room for anxiety or depression. Believe me when I say you’re not alone and although I’m preaching to the choir, don’t self-sabotage for the sake of giving yourself a new project. Appreciate your project completion and take time to adapt to this new season before moving on to the next one. We’re in this together, sis. Congrats on your success and Happy Birthday. ❤

I have dyed my eyebrows with just for men every week for years (my eyebrows are translucent with virtually no hairs and my hair is dark brown 🙃) so here are some tips! Always put Vaseline on the skin around your eyebrows so it doesn’t stain if you get a little messy! I use an old makeup brush. I also use an old makeup brush to apply the dye to make sure I get an even coat. You can also kind of leave it on as long as you want, it won’t look bad, but make sure not to wipe it off too early or it’ll look patchy. I leave mine on for 30 minutes usually bc my eyebrows really don’t want to keep the dye in lol. I got the tip to use just for men from Jenna Marbles ❤
