Charmander's message is incredibly touching. He didn't realize just how much he loved and regretted abusing his friends, but how he didn't realize it until it was too late. It's a powerful lesson. We often take those around us for granted, and by the time we realize our own actions, it's almost impossible to repair those bonds
except he still comes off as arrogant and only doing it to avoid being turned into a gastly.

Hey all! Episode 11 is taking me way too long and I really wanted to release something this year. I thought about doing a 10 year anniversary video or a 1 million subscribers video, but none of the ideas were really /me/. I wanted to make something with re-watchability and not just an update video, so when I thought of the idea for this song in late September I just sort of ran with it. Additionally, Episode 12 tentatively features more musical parts, so I wanted to get my practice in at making a song from scratch. This is the result! The first song written and sung by me! Woo!
Episode 11 is definitely coming along, though. It has a 30 minute runtime with more characters and action than ever. At this point it's waaaay more done than not, but I still have a lot to go. You can find regular updates on Patreon.com/shippiddge if you're interested in that. It also features some sneak peaks. I still don't know when I can release, but I'm guessing the beginning of 2024. As soon as I know for sure, I'll let you all know.

As much as i am actually sad Charmander is legit dead, its cool to do a story where the main characters learn a life lesson too late and get killed off as opposed to "Oh i was wrong now im hunky dory". Cant wait for Ep.11!
I bet my teeth Charmander will be resurrected using either Dialga time warping abilities or Arceus godly powers, since last time we saw Fluffy-eared big Squirtle, he was ascending towards a Spear Pillar in Sinnoh with dead body of fire monkey with level 99 strengh and willpower to defied gods.

I think he's still himself, it's just that he lost all ability to communicate with others. I have a feeling he tried to tell off Gengar, but all he could say was "Blergh!". Also, when Haunter tells Charmander that being a Ghastly is "existentially crippling", I feel like this is what he meant. You're still you. But you can't even give people a sign to let them know it's really you instead of just some random Ghastly that is scaring them.

@Smthbased Yeah. I’m pretty sure the Haunter used to be some other Pokémon before dying and coming back as a ghost, but probably didn’t care anymore.

i am glad that charmander still embraced how much he enjoyed being a "terrible beast" and that he saw Squirtles action for the betrayal that it was.
Squirtle didn’t even betray him if anything squirtle was helping him
@matildacancel3825 oh yes, it was truly helping him how he got water-blasted to near death, then wasnt even allowed to defend himself cause squirtle talked over him. I found it especially helpful how he just stood by while the Caterpie Killed him. Truly so helpful, yepyep, and not at all a betrayal.

This is one of those series that you have watched since the beginning and really want to see the end of but at the same time you know once its over you will feel empty inside knowing it's finished. This entire project has been amazing. I can not believe I was only a Teenager when this first started. Being an adult and still watching this with every new release, its crazy nostalgic.
Shippiddge, you already know this by now but you sure made a lot of our childhoods with this fun series of yours.

I discovered this series, episode nine was out my 10-year-old self so thought the show I’ve been canceled on the biggest cliffhanger I have ever seen. When I was in about fifth grade episode 10 released me and my friend watched it right then right now nothing else. Take your time on episode 11 I can’t wait to see how this decade old story unfolds. :)

Brooo, I still remember when I was about 6 years old, and the series was released. I was very young and couldn't speak English, so when I found out they made a dubbing in my language (I'm Brazilian), I watched one episode after another until I finished what was available, growing up alongside the series. I always watched each episode with my older brother, who loves it as much as I do. Now, at 16, seeing this fills me with nostalgia. I've learned to speak English, and man, I genuinely cried watching this. I'm really excited about the upcoming episodes and can't wait to see how it all ends! Tysm for everything, this was part of my childhood, and maybe I'll become an adult (in Brazil, the age of majority is 18) along with the conclusion of all this! Eagerly waiting, kisses, until the next video
In my theory Wartortle will meet the 3 powerful gods, The first and most powerful creator of all them Arceus and Second the time God Dialga then Palkia the space god.
Wartortle will maybe ask help from Dialga to rewind time so he can save his friends, all tho it might affect the new Squad Turtwig, Chimchar, Squirtle but maybe Dialga knows what Wartortle has in mind.
I tihnk mewtwo will have a play because he is waiting for charmander to come so maybe he will do something@ryomatheactual

Plot Twist (yes I'm doing one of those comments) this gastly got sent back in time to episode 8 and was trying the whole time to tell its past self to not die to the caterpie.
Marvellous work on this Broadway-style musical number! Amazing job singing as Charmander as well! Considering the shocking twists which came with the latest two episode of Starter Squad, this musical exit for Charmander helps give both him and his fans closure. Very well done! Bravo!!
