I find it interesting that Geodude, despite being the nost explicit that he's going to murder someone (even more so than Charmander) is still the most 'positive' force we've seen in the series, he's only trying to defeat a murderer, like if a protagonist was more explicit to wanting to kill the antagonist.

Starter squad does a great job at making any Pokémon that shows up enjoyable, this is a great example of making a Pokémon that I would usually consider to be weak look like an absolute power house of a monster.

Absolutely, the animation in this, the perfect angles and shots in this sequence are *chef kiss*. I’ve only seen maybe a HANDFUL of animation projects on youtube (with a music track included) that are this perfectly orchestrated. This is right up there with Jaiden Animations’ Anime Intro video that her team worked so hard on.
Absolute RESPECT for youtube animators for their perseverance, commitment, and talent. They make great, entertaining content that just pull us in and give us stories, humor, and lessons we didn’t know we needed. When they go the extra mile to mix the already complex, dedicated work that animation requires with a written, composed, and performed song, the amount of WORK that goes into the finished product is insane, especially for small animation teams and solo animators. Being patient in waiting for the next part of the story after an absolute BANGER of a song and battle scene in the same episode is the hardest part on the viewers’ end, but it just goes to show how much we LOVE this series and admire the hard work that has been put into something that people will cherish and share for many years to come.

@LoganMansour basically in fire red and leaf green charmander can learn metal claw so if you chose charmander as a starter you usually want to learn that before taking on Brock because of type disadvantages

You know, early game. This perfectly encapsulates how effective a Geodude is against a lot of mons, especially Charmander, haha.
This is exactly why I hate them they swallow pp and leave you at low health at least if not death the only thing you can do against them is a water attack otherwise run

@sootmassi Well, don't use Electric Types that don't know anything other then Electric Type moves. Pikachu can learn Double Kick which is super effective against him.
@22kingdomheartsfan I had a level 16 pikachu and had it use non electric type moves against geodude and it got destroyed. Might be because I was playing Pokémon yellow

I played Yellow as a little kid. My 6 year old dumbass decided to challenge Brock with nothing but Pikachu. This is exactly how it felt.
I played the gen 1 games, started with Charmander. Geodude was a pushover, Onix on the other hand... *that song*
I just level him up until Ember is strong enough to waste both Geodude and Onix.

In all fairness, Geodude only used one rock type move which was Rock Throw. The other moves appeared to be Rock Smash (Fighting), Seismic Toss (Fighting) and Brick Break (Fighting). Geodude knows a lot of fighting type moves. lol
