I think this is the most important part of the whole scenario. Everyone wants revenge for Angel, and yes he deserves it, but Angel won't get better until he decides he wants to, and the fact that he checked into the "Happy Hotel" is so powerful. He wants to get better and he finally put his ego aside to seek help. I know a lot of people won't see the parallel to real life, but it tends to be that people who need help won't seek it until they absolutely have to or feel totally broken as Angel does.
I mean at least he should be save from that asshole Valentino there, i mean if the daughter of Luzifer himself wont stop that guy then Alistor's power sure as hell will.
No wonder Angeldust got angry at Charlie for touching him. He didn't see her, was surprised and was reminded of Valentino. He does not have a good experience with people coming up from behind him
It's also like a safe haven for him, where he won't get hurt or be forced to do things he doesn't want. Sure, he has to be nice, but better than grovelling on your knees for some pimp demon.
I just rewatched the scene where Angel talks about the way ward souls but I didn't see him give her the finger he just tucked his arms back and turned around keep his lower arms down and his upper one holding the Popsicle the other one his waist

I think part of why eveyone is so messed up, is that there isn't a way out. Your stuck in hell, to be tormented and abused every single day, and you can't die. But one of the reasons he stays, is probably because one, it gives him a break from the constant mental bombardment, but also a chance to get out of hell and into heaven, but he just doesn't know that's what he wants yet. He will probably have a character arc concerning this at some point.
"Angel and Cherri are adorable" comments aside. I do like how they showed a second layer to Angel. He seems less like a depraved freak and more like a broken soul who longs for something better but doesn't believe it can happen

We figured that simply because of the nature of the Hotel. What I'm saying is, that they were right and Cherri is the best type of friend you ever hope for.

The fact that Cherri has been there to comfort Angel really shows that his girl buddy cares about him in some way. Not only that, but Charlie is clearly worried for him after what happened with Valentino. I really hope that Angel Dust knows that he's got good friends who care about him, and I hope he's able to move forward after these events.
