He, according to a few other members, practices for eight hours a day with a mirror to keep an eye on his posture. They call him a drum machine. Can you tell that he's self taught? I love that he plays to fit the music and doesn't care about showing off his skills
I think part of the reason he does the particular stick twiddling is (as well as looking cool af) is to help him maintain focus and the rhythm during the quiet bits especially when there are pyrotechnics going off around him. He has said that as the only stationary member of the band and it gets really hot and both him and his drums get cooked.

Rammstein will be on their North America Tour 2021. Tickets sold out in seconds. Best live act. Their Shows are legendary. Thats "Neue Deutsche Härte" 🎸💣🔥Greetings and LOVE from Berlin🇩🇪🇺🇸
I discovered Rammstein at age 13, had an immediate crush on Christoph ( always loved drummers) and then I saw Rammstein a year later. I'm almost 37 now and I just found this video. Cool to see!
Yes finally You reached to my fav drummer. Domm as his name in the band is, are in my World a fantastic drummer, yet very underrated. His style is very different than others and that sets hus originality as a drummer. He have many influences, but in Rammstein he is the strong engine beating the pulse and tempo on his drums. Last year he signed an endorsement with DW and Sabian. They are a world known band and whenever they go on tour, its sold out so fast. The music, the highly skilled members of the band, the stage and not to forget the showmanship. All packed with theatrical moments, fire and fireworks they stand out as the very best. Doom is a beast.
00:51 "This is a genre i'm not very familiar with" 06:20 "I am a big fan of metal with keyboards" Well. Industrial metal is usually that kind of blend. And Rammstein is at the top
Your student Dillon sounds like I was when I was starting on guitar. All I wanted to learn and play was Rammstein, and it took me a long time to realize how important the basics were before I could play actual songs efficiently.
He also served in the German Army before the wall came down @Junkdrummer TV ... I can't remember, East or West Berlin ?? ** I just looked it up, it was East Germany, the only member to serve in the military
This guy plays like a machine with quantize to 100% and velocity to 127... :P I'm a big Rammstein fan but I would never hire this drummer for anything else than industrial metal...but still, he is GREAT at what he does, real tight and powerful.
Two recommendations for reactions: Nisennenmondai and Battles - completely different musical and drumming styles, but both drummers exhibit amazing endurance, among other qualities
Please do a reaction to Jukka Nevalainen or Kai Hatho from Nigthwish, the 1st one was the first drummer, but he asked Kai to fill his spot bacause of health issues. Both are in my opinion interesting and fun to watch.
Gotta request that you react to Jaki Leibezeit, drummer of Can who were among the most prolific bands in the 70s krautrock scene. They blended funk with psych rock and were quite experimental and unique. Try out Vitamin C, only 3 and a half mins long
Any chance you’d do a video looking at John Stanier? He’s like a drum machine that became sentient. Love his stuff with Battles, and I think you might too.
Just a constructive critique, you are mispronouncing Rammstein. Listen to their song called Rammstein to hear how to pronounce bands name correctly. All the best, great channel!
If you like drummers with good posture, you should watch Daniel Erlandsson from Arch Enemy. Amazing drummer, my personal favourite drum cam is when he played War Eternal right here: ruclips.net/video/4eILO7Q_Yzc/видео.html
Hey Man, I don't know one Harry Styles song @Junkdrummer TV , but I like the "Sledgehammer" cover of Peter Gabriel on Howard Stern. I liked it, sounded great

@@JunkdrummerTV awesome i cannot wait! i'll take your word for it. You talking about the snare drum in this video reminded me that Atom absolutely beats the life out of snares

Would be nice to see you react to Kyle Brownlee from Counterparts. His background is interesting and the stuff he plays on the record and live is nuts! Great video although the video is bit outdated.

Rammstein, not Rammsteen god damnit! Or do you say Frankensteen instead of Frankenstein? Stein = Stone in english, pronounced "Shtine" as an english word. So easy, or not?
You managed to pick the least known Rammstein song to make this video. So many missed opportunities: Sonne, Ich will, Du hast, Feuer frei, Mein Herz brennt, Links 2,3,4, …
Im not complaining, I was just very surprised by your song choice. It’s from 2009 and neither well known nor popular. Bands and their members evolve over time and I feel like judging Christoph’s skill by one of their weakest songs just isn’t ideal. There is a reason why their world tours sell out in minutes and that reason is not Bückstabü 😅 Your video isn’t bad, it just could have been more interesting if you picked a song that people actually know and one where the drummer actually can show more of his skill.
Before you send anyone anywhere at the beginning of a vid, you should educate yourself on how to pronounce the name of the band. Let me help you here. It's Rum-shtine but DON'T roll the R at the beginning.

It's Christoph „Doom“ Schneider. ;)
"They have a keyboardist, do they not?"
Oh do they... Ha ha ha ha...
Poor poor Flake
As a German I appreciate that you make no fun of us ;)
The title isn't dirty, it's not a official word.
