In the meantime German prosecutors have closed a sexual assault investigation into Till Lindemann citing a lack of evidence.

The band was never right-wing, but just attracted stereotypes (angry, militaristic perceptions) about Germany through their music and activities. Any band could have done the same without getting labeled as right-wing. Only Rammstein attracted controversy owing to their nationality. Sometimes, I think they just like to troll and let the ignorants market their music through this controversy. I'll never forget that day and I will always remember when my Mom kept re-recording the video on VHS, so she can show my Dad once he came home from work. It blew his mind as well because we became huge fans ever since that day and Rammstein never disappointed us since. There's kind of a refreshing sort of purity about Rammstein. They're all about their art, but not in a pretentious way. They want to make cool little action films and play with fire and just do cool stuff. They've never phoned it in, and they've never gouged their fans like some other musicians their age **cough metallica cough**. They could probably make more money if they dialled back their production costs a bit, but that wouldn't do for them.

Later at my 20's, I met my boyfriend, fortunately we like the same music and we started together learning german, because of Rammstein, so we could understand 1/10 of what the heck we liked so much!
In 2010, we attended their concert here in Greece! We have photos of the flags: England-Germany 1-4 and we still laugh when we remember that beautiful night we spent with their songs! The working title of the song Links 2 3 4 was simply Links. A demo-version with this file name was released as a free MP3 download on the official website as a promotion on the forthcoming album Mutter on December 10, 2000. When this is a political statement, why change the name? And you should see the complete lyrics as a whole & not cherry-picking 3 sentences. The heart always beats on the left anatomically, with rare exceptions. And in Old-German, the word "rechten" can mean "richtigen" (Translation: correct)

Rammstein is a highly intelligent Band. They play (literally) with being doubtful and this makes them such great artists. Most of their songs, if not all, can be read in so many different expressions but only the “dumb people” will think that’s right mental goods. I see a lot of Rammstein reaction videos by English folks and it’s some kind of funny but also sad that they never get the full potential of this band just because German is a language that can express so many different things with the same words. And I love how the whole world is fascinated by this band. Greetings by a german🖖🏻

I have heard du hast in MTV as a teenager. In Central Slovakia we had not much TV but somehow had a satellite dish pointed at a German satellite in the sky so we had few German channels. MTV advertised an interview with Rammstein. So i got ready!
We had old tv with 5 pin round plug for ear phones. I have ripped out microphone from my double decker and soldered wire to it with 5 pin plug at the end. Got it going. When interview came in i have recorded on the tape 10 - 15 second fractions of songs from their first album. My first mix tape!
There was not such music in Slovakia then so the only way to get it was with bit of ingenuity. Loved Rammstein since!

Rammstein is pure art. They have created a genre of their own... Their lyrics are deep and meaningful, albeit dark and grotesque. The reason they are so hated is that people know them only by their rephrains; and the rephrains on their own are sounding rightwing indeed, but when you hear the whole text it makes perfect sense for anyone with a leftsided mind - and the reaction of the people is part of their art - just like the goldfish-in-the-blender art was meant to startle people, and the reaction was the whole pointe. Not the fish, not the blender. But the audience's reaction.
Much love and respect for you guys in Rammstein.

I was raised partelly in the same district "Prenzlauer Berg" in Berlin were Feeling B / Rammstein lived. Was lucky to witness the empty occupied houses and the alternative Punk feeling. My parents still live there. It's even today still a leftie place though the big gentrification process in Berlin after the Fall of the Wall started here and today more wealthy ppl live there and most of the clubs are closed. Nethertheless it's still a cultural and night life hot spot in Berlin. So Rammstein is left-wing orientated with liberal touch.

Regarding the band name, I've read two reasons many years ago why they chose Rammstein. The first is the airshow disaster as mentioned in the video. The second is that the word also means a battering ram made of stone; "ramming stone". A parallel for how their music hits you. Perhaps they chose the name for both reasons.

They tell little story's in every song. And a lot are so catchy, they will always be on your mind. The "softer" ones like Rosenrot or Ohne dich were my beginning with Rammstein. And know, I can't forget them. The message of Deutschland really hit me, and describes the mixed feelings a lot of Germans have... I think I still hear them, because of their punk roots and the tendency to not take themselves too serious. I listen a lot to Die Ärzte which are still Punkrock and make silly and funny stuff.

Rammstein completely blew my mind. Till Lindemen sang one entire song donned in a silver, fireproof suit which was doused with an accelerant and set aflame. I kept thinking "What am I seeing here?!" They were amazing.
KMFDM, while good, paled in comparison.

I was fascinated by the, lights fire/works instruments and voice. Links were given to me to look at, that is why I'm here. I loved the life beginnings of the members, real and true to who they are. Then captivating masses of people with their music and songs. I'm from Aotearoa (nz) First language is Maori, second is sign language, then English. I think it's time to learn another language. Is weirdly ironic that just because of their Nationality and the music genre they are in (Rock) Rammstein are labeled as right-wing or the lyrics of their songs have no meaning, when they literally have some really interesting and kind of deep lyrics.
Deutschland for example is a beautiful melody of the band loving their country but can't love them fully for the awful sins of their story or Adieu that speaks about dead loved ones and the desire of seeing them again. So many more songs too in the large history of the band have done that as well; although we can't ignore some like "Diche Titten" or "Du Rischt so gud" (hope I'm spelling it good enough) it still can be argued that they are just having fun and trolling those who never really wanted to give them a chance in the first place

Even though Dicken Titten may seems goofy, if you listen to the text, you notice it again has a much deeper meaning, some like Deutchland, Äuslander, Adeui what are maybe grander topics, Zick-Zack, Dicke Titten, Du Riechst zo Gut all have the same double message hidden.
Dicke Titten is more of people that desire something for years, but yet fail to see its right in front of them all the time, maybe just not exactly how you imagined it, if you just would be more open minded, Hence Richard's role and the all the woman surrounding him that he desired but fails to see
Zick-Zack is also such a song with a huge tong in cheek to a certain demographic of people and of they fakeness to keep trying to look younger, instead of embracing your age..
But like they always do, the songs and clips compliment each other to puzzle out the hidden/deeper meaning of they songs.

I discovered Rammstein a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. Saw them in Chicago in September.
I never thought they were right-ring. It’s always been clear to me that they use their music to critique culture and not just theirs. Amerika is “not a love song” about the USA. It’s a parody of America’s inescapable influence around the world…for good or for ill.
I just think they’re amazing, the band as a whole and each member’s individual story and what they bring to the band. It would be awesome to know them personally and to see whatever juxtaposition exists between their personal lives and their onstage persona and to know what makes them tick and how that influences their creative process.
