I used to be on FL studio until I tried Ableton and I ended up really enjoying it! Gets the job done for my own production which is all I need it for :)
What vst did you use for the drums? The snare is kinda nice but they would require some work for proper punch. Also are you also using bass or just guitars?
Used EZDrummer2 for the cymbals and Kontakt samples for the kick and snare. New mix I just posted has a punchier kick and snare I think! Trying to learn more about proper drum processing
Sooo good!! That tempo change at the beginning kills me every time, what is your method for slowing the tempo? Is it dropping it 10, 20 bpm by feel? Or was that like the "same tempo" just accenting the slower triplets as the new 4/4, if you know what I mean? Sick stuff! Subbed for thall 🔥
Thanks so much man!! For that transition I did some metric modulation - instead of the cymbals hitting on quarter notes, dotted quarter notes become the new 4/4. Makes all the 8th notes feel like triplets in the new tempo :) Got some metric modulation in a new song im working that I hope to post soon!
