  • This video demonstrates how I resolved the DJI microphone showing as USB storage, making the DJI wireless microphone record audio on an android phone. My phone is a Galaxy note 20 ultra.

Unfortunately, I ran into the same problem, and I haven't found a solution yet. I did what you told us in the video, but to no avail .. thank you .. Knowing that I did not find anyone who addressed the problem except Your Excellency

Hi Ahmed. Click on the the factory reset on the receiver. Remove the transmitter from the case to disconnect them.
Them put them back into the case. To pair.
If you plug the receiver to your phone, and click on record on the transmitter, the audio will record separately to the inbuilt memory space.
I no longer need to press the record button before recording on my phone.
      Now,

Great video, thankyou Alicerita for the advice. My DJI single mic (I only need one for my Wild Camping adventures) and receiver, are being delivered tomorrow! Liked and Subscribed

Hello Mr Nobodies, I'm excited for you. The Mic is a good one and I'm liking it so far.

This is not fixing the issue. You're activating the Mic's internal recording, not the phone's recording. It still works in the end but the issue is still there.

It solved my own problem. I no longer have to press the record button before recording. But at that time, that was the only thing that worked for me

Hello =D I had the same problem here not wanting to record AUDIO and I was also getting a FORMAT DJI receiver message on my note 20 phone ......SO after i saw your video....... I did update DJI MIC to version 02.00.72.87....... now I do not get the same FORMAT message...........BUT after the update..... i have an old APP I downloaded on note 20 ultra called "Cx File Explorer" to view all my files on the phone.....and.... now.... every time i plug in the DJI receiver....... the phone gives me a small screen message and it says..........--- Open Cx File Explorer to handle wireless microphone Rx and allow it to record? ---- I say........ OK......... and........now it works great and with out even pushing the record button on the DJI MIC transmitter like you said in your video..... thank you for your video. You gave me HOPE =D lol ... I say to anyone reading this if all this does not work......... give "Cx file Explorer APP " a chance.. its free I use it to find files on my phone. thank you! =D blessings last BUT not least MAKE SURE to have the phone adapter push all the way to the end and be flushed with the receiver otherwise you will not be able to record sound because the little 4 connectors are not paired.. again thank you!

Hi Salsero, I'm glad you found a solution that works for you. My new problem is now with charging the mic.
Before first use, the battery life showed 14h on each transmitter. I have never been able to charge it to even 9h, although I have only used it to 8.8h, it looks like it's not charging even though the indicator shows charging.

@@AliceritaE oh no! sorry to hear about that... i have 4 questions for you..1-have you updated the 3 units separately? 2.- have you tried a different charging USB-C cable and a different USB port? 3- have you reset all the units?. 4- have you tried charging each unit separately with the USB cable?..... charging might take a couple of hours for each unit or less time I am not sure just assuming........ if all this is not working you will have to send them for repair or return it. that is just not acceptable.

Thank you Salsero, I will try to charge them separately and also reset them. You're right, I should contact them if that doesn't work.

@@AliceritaE Hi, it is not showing battery life, but remaining time of backup recording. When you are recording wireless sound to your videos DJI receiver is doing backup record. You can move that record to your computer and use it if audio of your video fails.

Don't work with my galaxy 20 ultra on exynos(

At first, it doesn't work with my phone.
First, you need to ensure you push the USB adaptor very well into the phone port.
Then check yo see that both receiver and transmitter are paired.
Then I turned it off and on again. Remember to click on record button on the transmitter. You have to separate the receiver from the phone before playing the recorded video.

@@AliceritaE Thanks, but it didn't help. It works on galaxy s22, dji action 3, but doesn't work on my note 20. It's very sad.

Oh! I'm really sorry about that. It took 3 weeks for me to figure out how to set it up.
The first mic I bought was rode go II, after two weeks of troubleshooting, it didn't work so I returned it.
And then dji didn't work too. So I had to send it back and repurchase it. Still dame headache. But it finally worked. That was why I made this video
