    There are lots of USB mics out there which can make it hard to find the best USB mic for your budget. Most of these USB microphones are very popular and pretty expensive, except for the Razer Seiren Mini and the Sudotack ST-800. I included 2 budget microphones because I thought it would be very valuable to compare some of the best premium usb microphones to some of the best budget usb mics that are out there.

Tiny, has jack for zero-latency direct monitoring, has 3 modes of recording, has clip detection etc. You get a lot of features for your money in one tiny package. All you really need to purchase outside of the mic itself, is a cheap windscreen. You even get pro audio software on a cd (and download) with this mic. Love it.

      @fattymc.fattyface6944 2 года назад +5

      I own the ST-900 and I wouldn't recommend either of the mics. While it has decent sound and it's a full kit, there's issues with background noise and the gain adjustment on Windows doesn't actually adjust the gain; it only adjusts the output. This means you will clip even if your mic is at 1%, and your background noise will never go away. The pop filters aren't good either.

    • @kiritadoshi
      @kiritadoshi 2 года назад

      @@fattymc.fattyface6944 You definitely get the quality you pay for with these budget mics. If you need a more studio mic id honestly recommend getting a zero bells and whistles cheap apple earbud quality mic. And saving 100 bucks till you can get something actually proper. Used to have a yeti, fuck that mic. Elgato has been doin pretty nicely, but you can tell the software is new. Not in a bad way, but in a way that its obvious its going to get even more polish and stability updates. Mic itself sounds nice ofc. Very user friendly and amazing integration with other audio based peripherals. Sorta a no brainer imo

    I am contemplating on either Sudotack ST-800 or Razer Seiren Mini since both are 50$ budget. My place is very noisy so I don't know which one best for me. I know you can add filters but some noise still came through my XLR mic plug directly into pc jack because the sound card that comes with it is absolutely garbage. So which one do I get? ST-800 set or standalone Razer Mini?

    Question - if I enable some effects & settings on windows using the RØDE Connect software. Will it be carried over to other devices, like my PS5 or iPad. Bcz I cannot install any software on those devices to control this mic. Please can you answer???
    I am looking forward to this only on my PS5 for streaming, gaming recording. I saw that this has a NOISE GATE built in which is triggered by the software. And software is only on Windows & Mac. So what I'm thinking is, I'll connect this mic to my windows laptop, enable noise filter & then take this to my PS5/ipad. But i need to know if the setting done on windows software will work on ps5/ipad.

    Very good video my friend. Im thinking of buying Rode Mini NT mic for making gaming videos for youtube. I will mostly do voice recording in Audicity and game record in Shadowplay Nvidia and I will edit everything in Adobe Premier Pro. I started allready with that but with No voice as I have bad quality mic on my headphone Steelseries Arctis 7p+ . I wonder if there is any way to eliminate keyboard and mouse sound while recording with Rode Mini NT? I know that I should turn mic towards my mouth and also its better to use it on stand so it does not colect keyboard sound so good but is there any option to totaly eliminate sound keyboard ? Thanks

      I understand that we don't need the software from the mic manufacturer to make it sound batter in OBS and post production, but how to make it sound better in Discord? Is there a free software to change the sound for use on Discord?

  • @stevzor

    You can use voice software to change most mics, RTX Voice for example is mean't to be amazing for the HyperX but you do need an RTX or GTX (nvidia) gfx card.

    Which do you recommend better for gaming and streaming? this SUDOTACK ST-800? or the Razer Seiren Mini? both are very cheap and I need one that isolates the sound from the outside quite a bit and only my voice can be heard but at a maximum price of 55 dollars and looking at forums they say that these two microphones are excellent but I can't find a comparison between the two, and no I know which of these two to choose.

    • @user-kz9rz8ui1c

      From the Amazon reviews, the most common criticism of the sudotack st 800 is that too much background noise is captured.

    Pretty good short video. However, I do have ONE suggestion -- for reference, can you use a Shure SM-58, Sennheiser E835, or Audix OM-2 ???
    No offense here, but your voice is not .. shall we say .. broadcast-quality. So for me, a sound guy, to determine how accurate your voice is, I need to compare its response on a standard mic to the response on your USB mics.
