Those things suck I was stuck in a room with the alien near me and I attempted to throw a noise-maker out of the door in attempts of him maybe going to investigate. Surprise surprise he turned and blocked my noise-maker, and it bounced off of him, and landed 👏right👏next👏to👏me👏
We've all been there. I was at the beginning of mission 17, hiding behind a metal crate next to the save point. I was fumbling about, trying to create a molotov, just in case, but accidentally pressed the action button and hit the crate with the wrench. I may as well have rang a bell and shouted "din dins time".
i once tried to throw the sonic bomb behind the alien when he was standing in doorway but suddenly the door closed and the thing landed right next to me
Same but with a flare. That's when I learned that if there's even slightest corners, throwing distraction at them is just asking the alien give you a french kiss.
I remember going through that room level. Horrifying and stressful trying to get through it. Until I realized I can run past the Alien when it makes it's entrance from the vent. Just enough to input the password and get into the other room with no alerts. It's too busy to do anything else until it finishes it's animation entrance.
Lmao Markiplier made this mistake in his let's play and I laughed so fucking hard. Was hiding behind a desk and aimed too low when he threw it, so naturally it bounced off the edge and landed exactly in his hiding place.
I've had this happen to me on so many games. The worst culprit was the "grenades" in DOOM 3. Those bouncy pieces of shit never killed any demons. No, what they did do was bounce right back into my face and explode. The secondary feature on the N-Bomb grenade in Perfect Dark 64 had the same fucking problem, but worse. N-Bombs in Perfect Dark cause severe damage, disarm you, and the blurred the screen so much, that watching scrambled porn during the 90s was like watching 1080P HD by comparison.
that isnt as embarrising as my noisemaker shenanigans. i throw it, it bounces off the table right in front of me, and lands where the only option for escape is, so i just say 'fuck it' throw a smoke at my feet and get stabbed in the back
I've had several instances where this happened, and learned the hard way that Amanda can't throw OVER obstacles to (literally) save her life. Most video games allow you to do that, but _Alien: Isolation?_ You can fucking forget about that luxury. I once tried throwing a molotov over the place of cover I was crouching behind, and it hit this invisible wall, and Amanda blew herself up. I was like, what the hell??
between Alien isolation , GTA V & GTA online , Metal Gear Solid 5 and Witcher 3 with all the DLC took my life and my sanity over a two-year period with all the massive amounts of hours I put into it. Four of the best games ever made. will never regret any of those hours I lost boss.
I know. I just suck at aiming D: ! Especially when there's an enemy nearby, because that always gets me super stressed (seriously, my hands start shaking!).
DJ Ninja Yea I understand! 😉 Especially with the Alien cause sometimes you don't know where he is! Especially when he drops down from a vent! One time I was going down the stairs and I hear something I was like what is that didn't even realize that the Alien was following me, which is strange cause I'm always checking the motion tracker, and I turned around and he scared the shit out of me!!! 😱😱
I can believe that 😱 ! Jesus Christ, I'd gotten a heart attack! I actually had almost the same thing happen to me,lol. I had just gotten a keycard, and was sneaking back to meet the Kuhlman dude. I hadn't seen alien for quite the while for whatever reason, thought I could hear him in the vents every once in a while. Guess that made me careless, because I didn't check my motion detector before I made my way out of my hiding place and to a door. You can probably guess what sound came from behind my back at that exact moment.
DJ Ninja I think I’ve had mini heart attacks in this game!! Wow 😲 I sure know the feeling! Lol. I think in my opinion Medical is really tough though. The Alien is so hard to get around that area (The San Cristobal Medical Facility.) One time I swear , I was in the room where you find Dr. Morley’s schedule for his rounds and every time I would leave the locker to go and get the keycard thinking it was safe the Alien would come back! I was in and out of that locker at least 6 times. He wouldn’t leave me alone! I’m like listen I’ve got places to go Mr Alien. Lol 😂
Haha that's happened to me before. Lately while trying to get through The Trigger DLC, everytime I throw a flare or noisemaker somewhere far from me, the alien comes out of the vent exactly where I am and sees me before he sees the distraction lol.
@@memeifyinc1119 You can't know, imagine if he played a lot of masterpiece games like GTA San Andreas or The last of us. I personally think that is the best horror game ever made!
Of the best horror games of all time. By the way, if anyone is scoping for achievements, loading mission save is the best way to get archive logs and ID tags you've missed. The part when you get the level 3 access tuner before you get on the ambulance craft is the best time to backtrack and get into rooms you couldn't unlock, as you can still free roam at that stage and will have the gas mask and all your access gear upgraded.
It's worse when your cocky and thought you had the advantage like chucking the device long haul but instead hits the ceiling and rebounds back at you lmao 🤣
Happened me, but with a Working Joe. On nightmare they are the real enemy and the alien is weak in comparison. There's 1 alien and many androids. The only part of the game where the alien is a threat is the Morley offices part. If you die anywhere else you can just reload and the alien will be somewhere else, none of that with androids. At least they don't hunt you, they are just stopping you from trespassing so if you leave you are fine.
for me it's: "Ok, Gonna try this noise maker thing out. I'll throw it down the hall and the Alien will go to investigate and I'll be able to sneak past." throw noise maker, Working Joe Investigates while the Alien walks down the hall "Ugh...well at least the alien moved on..." turn the corner, Alien immediately turns around and sees me "...I hate this game..." (disclaimer: I actually don't hate the game, I just hate how the alien is programed in the campaign mode and think it's done way better in survival mode.)
Also it was a bad plan because she threw it near the save point. Nothing makes the game harder than the alien saving it’s progress and reloading until it gets you
Is it weird if I say that usually when I try to use noisemakers to kill hostile humans the alien just does not give 2 shits about what noise it’s making?
It is a bit annoying that in this stealth game your only options when throwing something are "put it on the floor at your feet" or "baseball pitch so it bounces everywhere." Even Duke Nukem 3D had the option of rolling the pipebombs a little bit.
yeah this is why i wait till he goes up the vent. but its medium difficulty so shit he comes right back, you alwaxs gotta throw the noisemaker on the floor, it will roll off to the direction you want it to go
On this same part it took me ages to get to that door. Once I got to it I typed in the code walked through and locked the door behind me. After I pressed the button to lock the door I turned around and the alien jumped down from the vent and killed me.
Noise-maker, a device that kills you base on game-physics
Yep lol.
i keep throwing it too close to the crate that im hiding behind and it just bounces back at me
ITS MADE OF METAL BASED ON THE SOUND EFFECTS, IT SHOULD BOUNCE VERY LITTLE IF ANY.
Those things suck

Yeah, that game could get really frustrating.
I did this so many times with the flare and the smoke bomb. Ended up being impalled cuz I was the one blinded
I’ve played this game so much I know exactly what room that was
Whoever the voice actress was, she was pretty close to the one in the actual game.
And that is why noise makers were solely used for the working joes in all my playthroughs.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place and you fuck up throwing a pipe bomb, trust me, you’re getting sent straight back to the previous save.
Honestly, I always found the noisemaker to be the most useful consumable in the game.
for alien flares and noismaker work great and ofcorse fire
Oh absolutely. It's just annoying that all you can do is gently place it on the ground or yeet it like you're going for gold in shot put.
I'm on my 4th playthrough and I have yet to use it. Ditto the smoke bomb, flare or flashbang. Different playstyles I guess.
This is most scariest thing happen in any games
there was supposed to be a save point in the corner, I didn't see it there
Where did you get that noisemaker? Let me guess...Ebay?
Omg I forgot I even made this comment this was from 2 years ago?
ImpotentRage I think he got it from amazon for 1.99
The fact that i know the exact mission shown in this video
Yep. Those damn noisemakers have no predictable trajectory.
Markipler made that mistake too but somehow survive that situation.
Happened me, but with a Working Joe. On nightmare they are the real enemy and the alien is weak in comparison. There's 1 alien and many androids. At least they don't hunt you, they are just stopping you from trespassing so if you leave you are fine.
and i thought the aliens could smell pheromones which would make this "hiding" stuff absurd
Noise maker: something that's more harmful then helpful because apparently physics dont apply to it
Soooo true, pro tip, use flares, they don’t bounce back, and the alien looks at them until they burn out
for me it's:
"Ok, Gonna try this noise maker thing out. I'll throw it down the hall and the Alien will go to investigate and I'll be able to sneak past." throw noise maker, Working Joe Investigates while the Alien walks down the hall "Ugh...well at least the alien moved on..." turn the corner, Alien immediately turns around and sees me "...I hate this game..."

Murphy's law. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Even in a video game.
Might not want to stand next to the noise maker if your legs obviously work.
That happens every single time I use a noise maker
And that's why I never use them at all
Also it was a bad plan because she threw it near the save point. Nothing makes the game harder than the alien saving it’s progress and reloading until it gets you
It at least served its purpose.
It’s so messed up because I know half the people that played this game knows this is so true
Well, rest in pieces Ridley.
That's happened to me with flares, flashbangs, and yes, noisemakers. It's annoying.
Is it weird if I say that usually when I try to use noisemakers to kill hostile humans the alien just does not give 2 shits about what noise it’s making?
In the beginning of the game, I accidentally threw a flare right next to me. That was a humongous mistake.
That is exactly how the logic of this game goes.
dude i go through that exact planning and it never works
Me: step 1: make the plan
Step 2: execute the plan
Step 3: expect the plan to go off the rails
Step 4: throw away the plan
Here I thought she was talking loud making a noise

I've tried using the noise maker just once or twice due to similar problems. The flare is much more safer (it doesn't bounce) and easier to find.

I actually never used any noisemaker, flashbang, or smoke grenade
Not once did I use that god damned noise maker
My absolute favorite moment in Markiplier's playthrough.
it came back because she didn’t shout “this bitch empty, YEET”
Whenever a noisemaker fails, two appear in one place.
The accuracy of this
Oh god I swear this noisemakers are made of super bouncy rubber I mean that mechanic has gotten me owned by the xeno so many times XD
This animation didn't capture the alien's wonky tail physics
yeah this is why i wait till he goes up the vent. but its medium difficulty so shit he comes right back, you alwaxs gotta throw the noisemaker on the floor, it will roll off to the direction you want it to go
Thats why I never used Noisemakers with one exception. When that shit happened to me. 🤷♂️🤣
