I’m a smoker and have been since was 13 and am 37 now, but I would never expect non smokers to breath my smoke even more so when being invited to stay in a holiday home, They only had to go on the balcony, That Kim is acting like a complete child, she keeps saying how she is proud to be from east London and who she is etc but feels the need to force it down others necks, There is nothing wrong with the other family wanting to eat healthy and not drink specially the young kids or smoke, With out the programme that childish abrupt family would never get the chance to visit Jamaica and specially stay in the private villa they were lucky enough to stay in, ungrateful comes to mind, also that poor chef being spoken too and about like that, and once again Miss Chav throwing a fit cause the chef cooks healthy meals and Jamaican meals and not the English fry up, The other family had the patience of a god, well done for sticking to there guns regarding there kids health and eating habits, very polite kids,

I personally don't see what the problem is, its an occasional little treat its not going to kill them. You shouldn't wrap your kids in cotton wool, if they want a sip of beer once and a while let them- denying them could in reality could do more harm. As your showing and teaching them alcohol isn't some special mystic thing ensuring that when they grow up they don't feel obligated to explore there newfound freedom and excessively drink.

Maybe the mum and dad want to let her have a drink on holiday so she has one of something that isn't that alcoholic like a shandy or something ...fair enough. But a couple of drinks PER day as though that's normal. She's thirteen. That isn't normal.

I'm reading all these comments about the Dockerty family, that their ungrateful, their spoilt and don't appreciate a trip to Jamaica and they bring a bad name to Britain, but to be honest i feel bad for them because they did bend over backwards to please the Plumbers to make sure they had a good time but Simone was ungrateful that they arranged to have a healthy options at the BBQ, took her to the supermarket, even gave her extra money to buy what she wanted and she still wasnt happy. Jamaica does seem like a dream come true location, but given the choice to eat your lunch on bin bags, go on 2 hour walk to a freezing cold waterfall and spend a few days in a shack (which even the show took the piss out of hence the reason they played 'This Ole House') or a week in Majorca enjoying the sun, waterparks and the night life doing karaoke and being tacky i would choose tacky every time.

They chose two extreme differences in family here as they always do on shows like this for obvious reasons. The Menorca family did come across a bit rough because as a grown woman, to cry and storm off to your room because you can't drink to excess or smoke without stepping onto a balcony...grow up. It's a family holiday, act your age and keep an eye on your kids. She made a prat of herself in that bar as well on the last night of the first holiday with someone pouring whatever it was down her neck...like a teenager on a holiday with friends in a club, whilst her two kids stand watching. Embarrassing. The other family were a little too far the other way as well...but it was in a much less obtrusive and harmless way.

Mel MD that fish looked delicious to me. I would assume it would be fresh from the sea too - I would avoid the head tho. But then people shouldn't feel forced to eat something they don't want to, the "posh" family certainly didn't and were equally rude about it. sam handsaker is right tho, these shows always put polar opposites together on purpose and they do inevitably clash rather than going with the flow and simply enjoying the experience of something different.
I personally would've preferred the Jamaican holiday, unlike the last show I watched at least these richer folks actually went out of their hotel and saw the place they were visiting.

My idea of holiday hell is an all inclusive package spent in a concrete monstrosity of hotel. I can't imagine visiting a place and never leaving the hotel complex. A holiday should be about exploring an area, discovering new restaurants, learning about the people and history of a place. My holidays, whether home or abroad, do include good food and drink but I counterbalance that with visiting museums, castles, cathedrals and galleries, walking around parks and getting out into nature.
I basically aim to holiday like Rick Stein 🤣

What a controlling woman. I get the health aspect and to the most part I would feel the same but there are ways of handling things respectfully. They knew what could possibly be entailed when they agreed to do the program but she made zero attempt. She set a negative tone right from the beginning and in response the other woman made no attempt on their holiday. Between both of them they ruined the entire experience. The only mature comment was made by Aliya at the end of the program.

East End of London born and bred Doherty's.........Irish Londoners mix mash. The awkward ambience the Plumbers created on the holiday was palpable and terribly uncomfortable for the family von Doherty. Then after a little time in Jamaica when the house that Mr. Plumber built over ten years was revealed, it was very apparent that the parent's von Plumber were truly a few slices short of a loaf and the Doherty's could breath a sigh of madness...sorry RELIEF. The poor unfortunate children!
