- Holiday showdown the Gambia France
Family from Bournemouth invite a famliy from Blackpool to a luxury break at French ski resort St Martin de Belleville, before joining their erstwhile guests on a jaunt to an island off the Gambian coast.
That posh lady is absolutely barmy but hilarious at the same time.

I love that both families got on and.. in the end, were even friends. I think they learnt a lot from each other so all in all a worthwhile, fantastic experience.

Fiona for all her foodie cullinary extravagance has never heard of Gammon??...This is one of my favourite episodes of the series, both families are likeable in their own ways and they both had fab experiences on their holidays in polar opposite environments. The Blackpool family have a very positive attitude to life, and I think the wealthy family did so well when they went to Gambia with the culture shock, they were definitely humbled x
I think she knows what gammon is (as she says there no ham on the plate) but she was trying to link what the child was saying to what was on the tray- possibly thinking it was some northern word or a word the child has made up.

Been looking for ages. I guess you gotta find the people on Facebook and ask If they have copies. Or look for people with old VHS recordings off the TV in peoples lofts they may donate. Not sure if anyones tried the production companies

What a awful way of life being that posh. I went to Switzerland few years back as my ex husbands step moms dying wish. I did it for her I absolutely hated it. None of them spoke German only my husband and I. It helped us all but the actual skiing for me? No sorry I enjoy caravans
