I have the original 10mm XDM (not the elite) with the 4.5 inch barrel and it has been flawless. I’ve fed it everything from underwood and buffalo bore to watered down ammo as well as my own hand loads and it has eaten everything.
That's also why they have so much more felt recoil. I like 10mm for the power. If not I would have just bought a 9mm or three 40. You can get a multiple spring recoil setup to deal with those issues though. Like the dsm triple recoil guide rod. I can shoot light 45 all the way to 45 super and it also has lighter recoil. Might eventually have a failure do to the gun being designed differently. Just make sure you test and train or don't carry it. Use it as a range gun. Or have a back up or at least a rock to.throw at them while you clear the malfunction lmao
If you plan on carrying the SIG for human defense don't bother. Bought one and every brand of 180gr hollow point jammed up in the mag....including Sigs own 10mm ammo. So unless all you plan to run is ball ammo or narrow faced ammo don't waste your money. I was so mad and all Sig would tell me is "The mags were designed to very tight tolerances to maintain the smaller grip" So basically any wide mouth hollow point is going to jam up in the slide. I sold it in less than a week of purchase. I simply wrote them back and said "I'm highly disappointed that I'm having $200 budget gun issues with a $900 sig." Never again. I'll stick with H&K, Smith, Springfield, and Canik.
Yeah I had the same problem with my x10 it is very difficult to put mag in gun with 15 rounds.im not worried about a short grip just make it so the magazine can take 15 bullets my xdm magazines hold 16 bullets.no problem. These 10 mm guns are basically designed for carrying in the woods. Sig x10 won't fed certain bullets. Because they are to long for the magazine.you have to pick your ammo so it will feed right. The gun will run flawlessly with the right ammo.
Sig tweaked ALL of those issues in the updated XTEN CARRY COMP. That is now the GOLD STANDARD for 10mm. I’ve been a certified instructor for over 35 years. And a shooting competitor for longer than that. Before that I taught the infantry as an officer. The XTEN COMP is second to none.
The comp helped some but only found 40s&w +P range to mid power functioning, it is not reliable when you get into the heavy end of 10mm. I tried for 1500 rounds with a variety of ammo if you don't intend to stay in the heavy end of power and use it as a range gun it would suffice. I couldn't get comfortable with its reliability for carry.
I'm glad you took the time to do this head to head to head. I have been hoping someone would do this. Sounds like it really comes down to what features you put the most importance in. Thanks
I just recently got a Springfield xdm elite 10mm 4.5 in OD Green, been wanting to get one for quiet some time, I love it, I am also a 10mm nut, great review 👌
As a proud XDM OSP 10mm owner, and it was the first handgun/gun in general purchase I’ve ever made I’m very fond of it and the 10mm as a whole. So very interested in seeing your thoughts on comparing the evolved XDM and the two new 10mm handguns on the scene from Sig and S&W, I have multiple pistols from all three companies, and I got high respect for all of em. So deciding which one is “best” is sure a hard thing to do. Putting any certain brand favor one might feel aside and making the choice would leave me sitting at a gun store or staring at an online store’s page for days trying to decide which one to choose. For now I’ll stick with my original XDM OSP 10mm with a compensator on the end, the new XDM has a better trigger and another round for the capacity, but I don’t think that’ll make me replace the one I have already.
@@kaynool8736 Oh I plan to this season by baggin a deer or two with it just cause I can, the 10mm hardcast rounds makes me feel a lil safer when walkin through the woods vs carryin my Hellcat RDP 9mm. In Florida we got black bear, panthers, and hogs that will mess ya up in the thick brush, carryin a 10mm when huntin gives one peace of mind for sure.
Very good review! The XDM is and was my choice, specifically the 3.8" compact model. I like the smaller size for backwoods camping and hiking in black bear country. Its virtually the same size as a Glock 19. Like many. I did remove the magazine well for better grip comfort. The extended magazine is a great option as well when a "larger" grip and capacity are required. The trigger is fantastic and it has fed everything I put through it, including hard cast Buffalo Bore and Underwood. My only gripe is the relatively smooth grip texture but a set of Talon grips fixed that. I paid $504 after a 10% Springfield discount along with another 10% discount from my LGS. I was never a Springfield fan but this gun and my Hellcat Pro have made me a convert.
I Love my Hellcats and I did not get one for a while after they came out. XDMs seem to be very good, and I love the Springfield 1911’s. 🤠👮🏻♂️👍🇺🇸👋👻😉🍀. B9USA Sr.
I have the 3.8 XDME 10mm and the Hellcat Pro too. Love them both! Got a cool chest holster that fits my TLR7A & Optic too. detroit holsters. perfect for camping/woods.
@@onpsxmember Croatia makes a very good pistol, if you do not like it because it is made overseas then that’s your choice. I own over 100 handguns and I would guess 25 or more are made outside the USA. Try to keep in mind that these XD & XDM’s pistols protect Americans and American Families. That is what is most important to me as an American Reviewer Of Firearms. Cheers! 🤠👮🏻♂️👍🇺🇸👻😉🍀 B9USA Sr.
The Sig Romeo is made for 10mm and they (Sig) specifically tells you that if you don't get a better quality optic for your 10mm, it's not going to last long. The Romeo so far, holds out longer for 10mm than other optics.. 10,000 rounds. I don't remember what others they tested with but ask about then if you buy one. I thought that was a very interesting side note to 10mm pistols and optics that most people would not consider when making that purchase.
Glad I saw this. Didn't think twice about the added recoil. Think Holosun 407's qualify as centimeter ready? Been thinking about switching it onto the M&P.
I own, or have owned the Glock 20, 29, multiple 10mm 1911's, the XDM ELITE 4.5" 10mm, and the XDM ELITE 3.8" compact 10mm Glocks have moved on to other homes, my 1911's get periodic attention, and my XDM's are my Go-too's I love the XDM brand so much, I ended up getting the 3.8" compacts in 9mm, & 45 ACP - to compliment the 10mm. Contrary to those with the political opinions regarding Springfield, they make a damn fine firearm. I have handguns from many different brands. The Springfield builds rank amongst the best - when it comes to durability & quality.
I'm an M&P guy. That said, I have the 4" MP10. It was a headache from the first trigger pull. Constant FTF, FTE, Mag Ejection, etc. Sent in to SW, came back with a new slide. It's much, much improved afterwards. Ive installed an APEX 45 Duty trigger internals into it (same OEM shoe). That cleaned up the trigger alot. 0 grit now, it was very gritty before. I've got close to 1500rds thru it so far. I love it. All that said, if I were to do it again, I'd go with that Springfield XDME. Most likely the 4.5" or bigger if there is one. I already have a Glock 30 with a 10mm conversion barrel for the "pocket" size. It would be first Springfield of any kind. In my opinion, it's the one to get out of these 3 with all factors combined. Great video as usual sir!
S&W for the cheap guys. 😂Sig for the Johnny come lately crowd.🤫I’d roll with a Springfield. If I was looking to ad a second 10mm to my beloved glock 20.
@@bluebeastsrtAhh, the Proverbial Glock fan boy. The Springfield XDm is far superior even after you had to change out that crappy Glock trigger and Plastic sights.
I have the XDM Elite and the mags hold 16 rounds (according to SA) while the witness holes only go to 15. I've been able to stuff 17 into it but wouldn't recommend you doing that since it's kinda hard to do and the mag release gets very stiff. I just put a set of Talon grips on mine and don't feel like anything else needs to be done to the gun. It's simple, reliable and accurate. Everything I need when I'm wandering out in bear country.
Not everyone hunts or needs it to protect themselves "in bear country "where ever the hell that is". I carry mine exclusively to protect myself and my family from the two-legged bears wandering around amongst us. Lmao😂 Bear country appears to be everywhere it seems...
@@thebusterdog921 Since grizzlies are mainly in Wyoming and Alaska I would have to guess they mean black bears - which have large ranges in the western and eastern US. 10mm would also be useful against other large animals that may attack in the woods such as mountain lions, moose, or wild boars.
I always love this guys channel and reviews! I picked up the Sig Sauer P320 XTen a few days ago and wow, just wow! It exceeds all expectations. The trigger is phenomenal, the ergonomics hit perfectly in every spot, and it comes optic ready. I have 5 M&Ps (2 2.0s, 2 Shield Pluses and a Shield PC 1.0). Shield Plus Optic Ready is my daily carry. I was holding out for the M&P 10 to keep it familiar, but holding the P320 10mm won me over!
I'm currently appendix carrying the XDM Elite 4.5 10mm OSP. With the extended magwell removed and 15rd mag base plate it is only half an inch taller then a Glock 19. Really isn't bad to conceal at all.
I like the straight back recoil of the S&W Performance Center 10mm with the 5.6 inch barrel. The ports get you back on target quickly. And, very little muzzle flip.
I've shot, and owned the three glock 10mm's, and the 4 inch m&p. I liked the glocks, but I sold them, and still have the m&p. I love the m&p, and I'm glad mine has been running great. With hot loads, and weaker loads. The trigger is definitely gritty. More than any other m&p I own. I may put an apex flatty in the m&p 10mm at some point.
I Have a version of just about every 10mm made (Yes I'm a 10mm nut, LOL) If I had to choose one it would probably be the Springfield Armory XDM 10 ELITE with Sig-Sauer P320 X10 a close 2nd IMHO
@@michaelkennedy996 I have the Rock Island Arsenal Tac Ultra with a smaller mag well, an Old model Colt Delta Elite tuned by Les Baer many years ago and a Springfield Armory RO Elite. They are all great pistols and in my hands at least more accurate than the more modern guns. The Glock 20 and Springfield XDM10 recoil feels softer. If I had to pick one 1911 in 10mm it would be the Springfield Armory RO Elite because it was decent priced, accurate and has been 100% out of the box with nearly 800rounds so far all full powered. The RIA is a great gun too and is double stack but the 1st one I had was a lemon and was actually replaced. The 2nd one was decent but I had I had it worked over and the large mag well replaced with a carry version. It is 100% but the gunsmithing adds to cost. I must add that my Son bought the same model RIA and it has ran flawless for him.
Personally, the XTen. Just because it has the 5" barrel. I have a XDM .45 with a 4.5" barrel, and I have 1911s in .45 and 10mm with 5" barrels. I prefer the 5" for the longer sight radius and increased velocity. None of these are CCWs for me, so more power is better.
I have the G29 for carrying and the G40 MOS with an SRO and Streamlight TRL for home defense. The G40 is incredibly accurate and easy to shoot with low recoil.
Pretty shitty groupings would not trust my life with any them I don’t think the sig even hit the paper kind of scary I heard them planking in the back ground but it could of been steel the size of a front door I thought of Samuel Jackson in pulp fiction when you weren’t hitting the target
If size is not an issue, the g40 is head and shoulders above any of the polymer 10's. I have either owned or at least shot them all and the g40 is the Cadillac. Even with hottest loads. I handload 180gr XTP's to 1425fps velocity "don't do this without a heavier recoil spring!" And even those loads are very pleasant to shoot in the g40.
I have the Smith & Wesson 4.6 and the Springfield 3.8 Elite compact. I feel I've been very fortunate with the Smith & Wesson no malfunctions after 1,000 rounds of hot ammo. I had to send the Springfield back for a failure to feed since I've gotten it back it is also proved very reliable. I don't think I agree with you on the triggers after about 100 rounds through the Smith & Wesson. The trigger mellowed out balanced out and breaks very crisply and the reset is very short. Extremely easy to predict. Although the Springfield trigger is okay it is a bit soft. After all you're shooting 10 mm. I like that crisp break before it fires great video thank you so much
The one thing I hate about MP is the rear striker plate moves to the left every shot so you have to drift your sights to be on target. The p320 bore axis is too high and trigger sucks
@@jackomalley3687 I've done decently well with it I haven't shot past 50 yards. Cuz I really don't have the resources to right now. But I can put a fist size group up in three quick rounds haven't tried anything above that. I am using a red dot
@jackomalley3687 I noticed the same thing on a m&p9 2.0. I never noticed till I put a optic on it and was dry firing. The dot would move no matter how still I was. Never did that on the glocks or sigs I've had with optics.
I'd like to see a test comparing a Rock Island double stack 10mm with the pistols that were tested here. I mean a R.I. 1911 vs stricker fired or double/single action pistol.
I bought the 4.6" M&P 2.0 10mm, out of pure necessity. WA State banned "high cap mags" starting July 1st, 2022, and we have a 10 day waiting period. The week before that, I called every LGS in 200 miles, found the M&P at Stans Merry Mart (highly recommend if you are close to Wenatchee, WA.) Got paperwork started and handed the mags on June 29th. Love it, so far. I am a 10mm guy, have G20's with the Lonewolf TW-L frame, 10mm 1911's, EAA Match 10mm, etc, etc. Plan on buying the Sig next month. Maybe I will look at Springfield, but I am still pissed about the Springfield donation debacle of several years ago.
Love my XDM Elite 3.8, the Hex Dragonfly, not so much. Worked fine for the first 300 rounds, now the dot shuts off when the slide cycles. With the problems with the Wasp also, can't trust the optic at this point.
I have the xdm elite it outshines the rest. Better trigger, by far... I also have the m&p2.0 performance center the trigger is way to heavy and has taken a few boxes to break in the Leopold on it beats the dragonfly on the elite, the sig is half baked not reliable but for certain ammo some say the sig comp finally made it function more reliably but that is muted lower power rounds as you step it upto real 10mm it has issues. The big thing i look for is reliability over low power and higher power ammo. One thing you're going to see is sig can't meet that requirement for me so I sold off the x10 and hunt with tge m&p, but I trust my life to the elite it just doesn't have any weaknesses especially once you put a talon grip on it is truly the ultimate 10mm
Great Video. The ONLY thing I dislike about my XDM Elite Compact was the grips. The Talon PRO, with the Combo Granulate/Rubber Texture solved that issue.Quick and inexpensive fix
I bought the Sig about 7 weeks ago and the first 50 rounds or so I had a number of FTF's. They were hollow points, I should have started with FMJ's. I lubed up the feed ramp a bit at the range, and since that time it has run flawlessly. Really a sweet shooter, more so than my G20 and G40. But I'd trust them more if it was life or death.
Might have just needed a break in period. Still having FTF's on the M&P after a couple hundred FMJ's. Seems magazine related, 2nd to last in one mag and the very last in the other. Same way every time. Always been taught not to lube the feed ramp, but if it works, it works! Once you got it right, might be best to leave it unlubed. And totally 2nd on Glock reliance. Stock factory parts and it's my first pick for bump in the night stuff.
Most FTF issues when you first buy a new gun and sometimes higher caliber is "limp wristing". Now that you're more familiar with your new weapon, and know what to expect, you realize it wasn't the pistol. Lubricant on the feed ramp had nothing to do with it. Lmao😂.
Yessssss Springfield for the win!!!!!!! I have the compact 3.8" in 10mm. Had the Glock 20 but sold it right after I put 100 rounds thru the XDM and never looked back.
I have the XDM and the XTEN. No issues with the XDM. The XTen mag has issues with 220 hard cast which is what I'd use for woods carry. XDM is just better and cost less.
I am so glad I found this channel, just love one persons honest review. I am looking for a "woods 10mm" since I retire this year and am planning on spending more time hiking/hunting in the back woods and 10 mil seems like a good all around choice. I have medium size hands so I am looking for a 10mm with the shortest trigger reach. For years I carried an issued HK USP GREAT GUN but way too big to be comfortable and with the extra recoil comfort will be key. Thank you again for posting, I plan to check out the XDM, If I like it I plan to have grips laser stippled.
No, you CAN draw a conclusion with the M&P's feeding problem. I'm about to sell mine 'cause it does this constantly, especially with hot ammo. I'm not the only one either; tons of them have this problem.
@@rockie307 Yep. And I have a Glock 40 (10mm long slide) that runs hot ammo but won't run weaker ammo. About to sell it as well. My buddy has the XDM and it runs it all flawlessly. I'm about to pick up the Sig, so I guess we'll see on that one. If it also has problems, I'll ditch it and grab the Springfield.
I have the XDM 10mm in 5.25 inches. I can't wait for them to come out with the XDM Elite version of that. I have the Elite in the 3.8 and I love it, but I hate that Hex Optic.
I have the Sig XTen for the woods and the XDM 3.7 for EDC and have never shot the M&P but I will try it one of these days, great review by the way! I hVe better groupings with the Sig, but I have had much more practice with it as well.
You posted this 7 months ago, so I imagine you've probably made a decision already. My brother carries the Springfield 10mm in Alaska, I'm more of a Sig guy so I chose the XTen. The Sig is fantastic, with the best trigger of any striker fired gun I've tried and complete reliability. But a good friend let me shoot his RIA 10mm. It impressed me so much that I picked up the RIA Tac Ultra HC with the threaded barrel. After several hundred rounds it has also impressed me as excellent. Trigger feel is important to me, so that ruled out the M&P immediately.
I was looking at sig and springfield but that high bore axis was a no go for me. I chose the m&p 10mm knowing that i would buy a 22lb recoil spring to fix feed issues. Low bore axis, VERY comfortable and with the new spring extremely reliable. 580$ for the gun and 35$ for the spring. I paid 615$ for an amazing 10mm. Easy choice i would not have been happy with sig or springfield
If I had to choose from those 3, and couldn’t choose my own? The Sig. I was forced to carry a 10mm Smith at my LEO job, it (1076) was a disaster. During qualification, Smith had a van setting there and when a Trooper had a 1076 shit the bed, we would raise a hand and the Smith gunsmith would bring a nib pistol and trade out. They were garbage. Was never so glad to get rid of that thing.
I love my x10. Exactly no issues. 180gr sig ammo 200gm hard cast zero problems. Don’t know what you others guys are doing but mines great. Take it to bear country and trust it with my life. 15th round is tough but doable
Really like the way you used a rest this time!!! Seems môst expect us to just believe they are great shooters free handed and thats what the gun will do, haaaa.... Also all the dif charts, excellent man. Thanks
I have a G29 and am looking for a full size 10mm range/fun gun… the addition of the G20/G40 and a decent 1911 10mm would have been a huge help as I also have a DW Valor and am considering the Razorback or Specialist.
A very nice, reliable 10mm 1911 is made by Rock Island. Look up reviews. There are several different models available at various reasonable price points with capacities from 8 to 16 rounds, threaded barrels, etc. I have the RIA Tac Ultra HC with threaded barrel. It's been 100% reliable and accurate for me. I used to be a Glock fan until I branched out and discovered CZ, Sig, SA, etc. I no longer own Glocks. They just don't perform as well as the others, the trigger is awful, and that proprietary grip angle is a poor design for me. What ruined it for me was having to send two brand new guns back to Glock for repair, and only one came back fixed. The other one never did work well. But they give great discounts to LE so they remain popular.
Accuracy can be affected by the choice of ammo. Magtech ammo might be good for the XD-M but not for the Sig. I wonder how using several brands of ammo might change the outcome of accuracy?
Yea, maybe that particular flavor in that particular pistol is a bad mix. Something is weird because I have the X Ten and it prints very tight groups. I was surprised when I saw this.
My first 10mm was the M&P 2.0 10mm from S&W. It did the SAME thing as in this video, but worse. I was a bit sick. I changed the upper spring to a 24 pound, but haven't shot it since. I have a Glock 20 and a 29 on 10mm. I am going to pick up the Sig 320 10mm and the Springfield XDM 10mm. I'm thinking the Springfield is going to be my favorite. I've heard nothing but good things from the Springfield.
I have the XDM Elite. The mags are not 15 rounders however, they hold 16, every mag that I have. I would love to shoot all 3, but only have shot the Springfield so far.
How is the X10 with chamber support? The M&P looked like it would fully support the case head, but upon firing and fouling, I was able to see dimensional variations like a funnel and some headstamps were bulging out in the direction of the feed ramp. Disappointed since I reload. Did you see any "Glock Smiles" on the cases?
I have the XDM-E 10mm compact. It has the best trigger of any striker fired pistol I’ve ever shot. Period. I very much like the grip angle, and the controls are in very intuitive locations without being too high or two low. My only complaint with the 3.8 is I wish the grip were about 1/8 - 1/4” longer to facilitate greater purchase with my pinky finger on presentation. Yes, there’s a grip extension magazine, but it’s a bit bulky. Oh, it’s kinda ugly too. I’ve shot older XDM compacts and while very accurate, they were otherwise meh, with horrible spongy triggers.
The M & P Dosent handle hot bear loads very well. Others, no problem. Springfield XDM-Elite is awesome w the Talon grips. Just gotta order by the number on your back grip. I kept the magwell flair on my 4.5 inch. Had to do some trimming on the Talon before installing. You'll need a hair dryer for final stage. Easy to do.
Thank you for this comparison video. I was impressed with all of your groups since you did not zero in the optics. Based on the video, the Springfield had the best grouping. Were you using the Mantis X trainer??
I love my smith and wessons, but after seeing some of the issues the 10mm was having, i went with the springfield xdmE 4.5". absolutely love it. 0 issues. that being said, i really wanted the smith because it feels so good. I may pick one up when the issues are resolved.
I recently had a bad batch of Magtech 10mm 180gr FMJ. I bought 8 boxes, 4 boxes from one specific lot number and that lot number had issues with between 14 and 16 out of 50 from every box (the last 2 boxes was after not hearing back from Magtech for almost 2 weeks). I contacted Magtech customer service, received an email from Erin McManus on 7/19 asking for more info and photos. I sent everything requested the same day and it's now 2 weeks later and I have not heard anything. Magtech customer service sucks and I will never buy their ammo again.
@@tristantimothy1004 it’s not a problem for me anymore because glock made the 20 gen 5 so that’s what I’m going with. @@tristantimothy1004 it’s the same trigger as the rest of the gen 5’s. Which is an improvement over the other generations, but still not great. I’ve come to not mind glock triggers so much
@@aleffel9668 , Thanks! I haven't tried any gen 5 yet. W my very small hands I've never found a Glock handle that fit right to begin with & the triggers really didn't help the situation. Best factory trigger I've found yet is on the SA XDM Elite. Really liking the narrow smaller grips . HAD to put Talons on it thou. 1000% improvement.
When the SA came out I tried one, and the trigger wasn’t smooth, had lots of creep/mush, just wasn’t even up to a Glock trigger. I guess they improved it. I’ll have to check them out again…
Great review, from a top expert; your opinion is always welcomed; pun intended 🙂. It's great info so head to the "rental" counter at your local range and give them all a try. The M&P fits better in my hand as the Sig tends to feel a bit big for my hand size (med; or maybe small medium). Have not had any experience with the Springfield, but I always hear the RSO's like them a lot.
All are fantastic offerings. In that full size platform, which for me would be a range / fun size gun, I would have to go with the Sig due to the 5" barrel. The SA 3.8 is my choice if considering a carry option. I still like the Glock 40 at the range as well and will always be a runner due to the quality and that longer barrel.
Where did you get that awesome morale patch shirt at ? It looks very comfortable and great for the hot humid swamp that I live in very much and I could display my patches mroe often.
Well I have the Springfield the Glock 20 and the Smith 2.0 . I prefer the polymer 10s because I’ll be using it mostly for hunting lighter more round capacity . 1911 style are just to pretty for taking in the woods . The X ten is a lot more money . I have 2 sig P320s 9mm and 45ACP they are great pistols
Mine was too but S&W did some kind of magic and now it’s been 100%. Still really think I’d like the XTen more though. I’m going to wait about a year tho.
from my (the camera) point of view, the S&W M&P was the snappiest recoil of the three don't know if the shooters feels it that way but all in all what counts is which feels the best in hand even while not firing would be nice to see a 4th competitor Glock 20 in the mix
Why no Glocks, for the fan boys.. That XDM is a sweet shooter. That would be my preference, having shot all of the above pistols. My XDM 40 is one of my favorite pistols. Good video and I agree, get some Talon grips. I hate slick grips.

Mine fires any ammo with no problem
EXACTLY the review I’ve been looking for. Excellent job!
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
I'm glad you took the time to do this head to head to head. I have been hoping someone would do this. Sounds like it really comes down to what features you put the most importance in. Thanks
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
I just recently got a Springfield xdm elite 10mm 4.5 in OD Green, been wanting to get one for quiet some time, I love it, I am also a 10mm nut, great review 👌
I have the new Sig Xten and it's awesome!! I've had zero issues
Id like to see an updated vs with the M&P 2.0 performance center with the slide ports & upgraded trigger 🔥
Oh shit! I bought that as MY first handgun too just a week ago! You have fine taste, my friend.
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^^🎁
Not just that it has a double spring instead of a single
I love my 3.8 also , 👍👍
I Love my Hellcats and I did not get one for a while after they came out.
XDMs seem to be very good, and I love the Springfield 1911’s. 🤠👮🏻♂️👍🇺🇸👋👻😉🍀. B9USA Sr.
I have the 3.8 XDME 10mm and the Hellcat Pro too. Love them both! Got a cool chest holster that fits my TLR7A & Optic too. detroit holsters. perfect for camping/woods.
Basically your opinion on Springfield can stay the same, what you like is a HS produkt made pistol from Croatia.
Cheers! 🤠👮🏻♂️👍🇺🇸👻😉🍀

Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
The Sig Romeo is made for 10mm and they (Sig) specifically tells you that if you don't get a better quality optic for your 10mm, it's not going to last long.
I own, or have owned the Glock 20, 29, multiple 10mm 1911's, the XDM ELITE 4.5" 10mm, and the XDM ELITE 3.8" compact 10mm
Glocks have moved on to other homes, my 1911's get periodic attention, and my XDM's are my Go-too's
I love the XDM brand so much, I ended up getting the 3.8" compacts in 9mm, & 45 ACP - to compliment the 10mm.
Contrary to those with the political opinions regarding Springfield, they make a damn fine firearm. I have handguns from many different brands. The Springfield builds rank amongst the best - when it comes to durability & quality.
Liking this format, very informative and thorough, thanks!
@@bluebeastsrt SIG for the Johnny come lately crowd is the most accurate way to describe that for sure lol.
Plus, the M&P is easily the worst 10mm on the market. It's the Budweiser and F-150 of 10 mm. 😂
@@bluebeastsrtAhh, the Proverbial Glock fan boy. The Springfield XDm is far superior even after you had to change out that crappy Glock trigger and Plastic sights.
I agree
I have the XDM Elite and the mags hold 16 rounds (according to SA) while the witness holes only go to 15. I've been able to stuff 17 into it but wouldn't recommend you doing that since it's kinda hard to do and the mag release gets very stiff. I just put a set of Talon grips on mine and don't feel like anything else needs to be done to the gun. It's simple, reliable and accurate. Everything I need when I'm wandering out in bear country.
I bought cause I used to work in North Georgia.
Now that I longer Do Not, It's for the Walking Dead in the metro Atlanta area
Not everyone hunts or needs it to protect themselves "in bear country "where ever the hell that is". I carry mine exclusively to protect myself and my family from the two-legged bears wandering around amongst us. Lmao😂 Bear country appears to be everywhere it seems...
@@thebusterdog921 Since grizzlies are mainly in Wyoming and Alaska I would have to guess they mean black bears - which have large ranges in the western and eastern US. 10mm would also be useful against other large animals that may attack in the woods such as mountain lions, moose, or wild boars.
Nice surprise this morning, Justin Opinion best millimeter goodness!!
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^^🎁
I'm currently appendix carrying the XDM Elite 4.5 10mm OSP. With the extended magwell removed and 15rd mag base plate it is only half an inch taller then a Glock 19. Really isn't bad to conceal at all.
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
I like the straight back recoil of the S&W Performance Center 10mm with the 5.6 inch barrel.
I was concerned about the gritty trigger too but it seemed to break in and mostly go away for me. How many rounds do you have through it?
@@JCHumongous I only have a few hundred rounds through it

I Have a version of just about every 10mm made (Yes I'm a 10mm nut, LOL) If I had to choose one it would probably be the Springfield Armory XDM 10 ELITE with Sig-Sauer P320 X10 a close 2nd IMHO
Do you have any 10mm 1911s? How does that compare to these other ones?
So you’re the person to ask, how do any of the 1911 style 10mm handguns compare?
@@michaelhatfield3430 thank you for the info. What is heard is I’ll have to tell my wife I have to purchase yet another 10mm…😆.

No bad choices here, but for me it's definitely the M&P. I have the 4.6 10 mm and it fits my hand perfectly.
beautiful gun for sure
Nice video. Had both raw data and opinions spoken in a very fluid and relatable way. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
Personally, the XTen. Just because it has the 5" barrel. I have a XDM .45 with a 4.5" barrel, and I have 1911s in .45 and 10mm with 5" barrels. I prefer the 5" for the longer sight radius and increased velocity. None of these are CCWs for me, so more power is better.
Nice breakdown between the three. Been looking for a video like this. Thanks
I have the G29 for carrying and the G40 MOS with an SRO and Streamlight TRL for home defense. The G40 is incredibly accurate and easy to shoot with low recoil.
@Dale Ross Move on, Karen.
Weirdo!
The week before that, I called every LGS in 200 miles, found the M&P at Stans Merry Mart (highly recommend if you are close to Wenatchee, WA.)
Got paperwork started and handed the mags on June 29th.
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^^🎁
Simple. Ditch the optical and learn to use the sights. Springfield sights are awesome.
Putting the Talon on mine was an absolute game changer. Completely changed the way the gun handled.
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
I bought the Sig about 7 weeks ago and the first 50 rounds or so I had a number of FTF's.
My XTen has had 160 rounds of Underwood 220gr hard cast through it without a problem.
I've got 2 glock 20s that do the same with hot loads. Got 2 xdms now 3.8 and 4.5 problem solved.
Clean the dickens out of it, then oil it in all the places the books says.
My XDM Elite 3.8 10mm is The One. My Gen 4 Glock 20 earns 2nd place.
I have the XDM 10mm in 5.25 inches. I can't wait for them to come out with the XDM Elite version of that. I have the Elite in the 3.8 and I love it, but I hate that Hex Optic.

What ammo are you carrying in the woods? That is the purpose I want it for as well but I'm reading a bunch of mag issues with 220gr and up hardcast.

Love my XDM it’s so accurate. Only hate the red dot. Have to turn it on everyday. Plus it’s red not green.
Great video, im between 3 10mm pistols right now also but instead of the m&p, its a rock island tac ultra with the threaded barrel.
U made right choice I heard that the spring issues got fixed after all the complaints but I could be wrong
I have the smith 10mm. I have not noticed that it has feeding problems. I guess that I have not shot it enough to notice it.
Good show , liked them all. Have the M&P , and buying an Sig X 10 soon.
250 rounds with no malfunctions. I would have gone with Glock but the XTen just felt so much better in hand. Running an RMR 3.25 MOA and TLR-1 HL
Really enjoy your videos. I’d watch a lawnmower or sofa comparison if you did one
Really like the way you used a rest this time!!! Seems môst expect us to just believe they are great shooters free handed and thats what the gun will do, haaaa.... Also all the dif charts, excellent man. Thanks
I had too many issues with smith 10mm both sizes…Xdm For the win!
I have a G29 and am looking for a full size 10mm range/fun gun… the addition of the G20/G40 and a decent 1911 10mm would have been a huge help as I also have a DW Valor and am considering the Razorback or Specialist.
g29 with 15rnd backup mags

Great comparison video!
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
My first 10mm was the M&P 2.0 10mm from S&W.

Just the review I was looking for
New contender and perhaps king of 10mm, FN 510!
Grouping 1 1/2" with mine at 25yds with my reloads with a Vortex Venom on top...killer pistol👍😁😎
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
What does it matter if it's ugly? only functionality counts what are you the Fashion Police?
The M & P Dosent handle hot bear loads very well. Others, no problem. Springfield XDM-Elite is awesome w the Talon grips. Just gotta order by the number on your back grip. I kept the magwell flair on my 4.5 inch. Had to do some trimming on the Talon before installing. You'll need a hair dryer for final stage. Easy to do.
Issues with smith are mostly the 4” not the bigger barrel 4.6” and they have been resolved
Thank you for this comparison video. I was impressed with all of your groups since you did not zero in the optics. Based on the video, the Springfield had the best grouping. Were you using the Mantis X trainer??
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
I love my smith and wessons, but after seeing some of the issues the 10mm was having, i went with the springfield xdmE 4.5". absolutely love it. 0 issues. that being said, i really wanted the smith because it feels so good. I may pick one up when the issues are resolved.
Word of warning on the M&P: if you're "lucky" enough, it may drop magazines. This issue is very-well documented on the S&W forum and Medium.
Have original Xdm 5.25 10mm with prp trigger kit. Several thousand rounds flawless. Excellent pistol
I thought we were going to get your opinion! Justin Opinion!
Can you do a review with the tanfoglio 10mm stock 1 defiant against these pistols
Love the 10mm stuff!!
I've had issues with Magtech in three 10mm handguns.

We've seen a rash of people's M&P 2.0 optic plates shearing off coming in at work
The gun comes with plastic mounting plates is why
I have both: X10 and M&P. I like both. But, as far as ergonomics is concerned, I prefer the M&P. So much so that I use it as my EDC.
Your intro is worth a sub
Need them to do the glock 20 gen 5 mos soon. But of those 3 I’d take the m&p 10
Aleff, check out some reports on the M&P first. Lots of FTFs w hot bear ammo. Other than that, no problem.
@@tristantimothy1004 it’s not a problem for me anymore because glock made the 20 gen 5 so that’s what I’m going with. I will say though I’ve heard mostly good things about the m&p 10mm from people I know. I absolutely can’t stand the 320 series so that was already eliminated from consideration for me
@@aleffel9668 , How's the trigger on the gen 5, same or did they finally fix it?
@@tristantimothy1004 it’s the same trigger as the rest of the gen 5’s. Which is an improvement over the other generations, but still not great. I’ve come to not mind glock triggers so much
@@aleffel9668 , Thanks! I haven't tried any gen 5 yet. W my very small hands I've never found a Glock handle that fit right to begin with & the triggers really didn't help the situation. Best factory trigger I've found yet is on the SA XDM Elite. Really liking the narrow smaller grips . HAD to put Talons on it thou. 1000% improvement.
Great comparative review but what happened to the Justin Opinion Grip Index?
Interested in seeing how the grandpower 10MM compares.
🔥🎯Obviously the Springfield XDM is far better than the other two🎯🔥
When the SA came out I tried one, and the trigger wasn’t smooth, had lots of creep/mush, just wasn’t even up to a Glock trigger. I guess they improved it. I’ll have to check them out again…
Which is less snappy and good trgger?
Thanks Justin..
Great review, from a top expert; your opinion is always welcomed; pun intended 🙂. It's great info so head to the "rental" counter at your local range and give them all a try. The M&P fits better in my hand as the Sig tends to feel a bit big for my hand size (med; or maybe small medium). Have not had any experience with the Springfield, but I always hear the RSO's like them a lot.
where are my winnings?
@@davidcortese3300 As well as the rest of us.
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
Where did you get that awesome morale patch shirt at ? It looks very comfortable and great for the hot humid swamp that I live in very much and I could display my patches mroe often.
Minor semantics correction. Evaluating the size of the grouping is “precision” not “accuracy”
Went with the m&p 4.6. Feels great in my hand. Had 1 ftf in the first mag but next 200 rnds ran flawless even with rapid fire on last two mags.
I can tell you from first hand experience the S&W isn't the best. Mine was POS.
I have The XDM, but I have not fired it yet. I have high expectations however.
Sorry about the Smith&Wesson James. Stay Safe! 🤠🇺🇸👍👮🏻♂️👋👻😉🍀. B9USA Sr.
Mine was too but S&W did some kind of magic and now it’s been 100%. Still really think I’d like the XTen more though. I’m going to wait about a year tho.
Good Video and review. If you could only buy one of these, which would you select?
from my (the camera) point of view, the S&W M&P was the snappiest recoil of the three
don't know if the shooters feels it that way but all in all what counts is which feels the best in hand even while not firing
would be nice to see a 4th competitor Glock 20 in the mix
Hello congratulations, something benefit is here for you^^^^^^🎁
Does the sig have the p320 safety issue?? I have a sig 1911 Tacops 10mm and love it. But more ammo in the mag would be nice. Thanks great info.
Great review!
I’ve seen the S&W 10mm fail a lot in different vids. I wonder what’s going on.
did seem to have a problem with slide and spring
could be spring weight, slide weight or refinement of the slide rails
@@TwoFeatherChannel correct…that’s the complaint basically. 👍🏻
Why no Glocks, for the fan boys.. That XDM is a sweet shooter. That would be my preference, having shot all of the above pistols. My XDM 40 is one of my favorite pistols. Good video and I agree, get some Talon grips. I hate slick grips.
