Well i been shooting 10 ,MM 1989 with a S&W Model 1006 and a S&W 610 both in the 10.MM and i still carry 10.MM my new one is a Ruger GP 100 10.MM 5 inch barrel looking at the SIG TEN-X now.
How much of a difference is there between 10mm and a good 40 cal. round ? IMHO, not much if any. Shooting someone in under 10-20 yards is going to leave them DEAD ! I doubt if the recipient of either round could tell the difference. Please, no comment how one bullet kills mad raging bears better. I don't intrude where these magnificent animals reign. BUT, the most important thing to consider is recovery to fire next shot if needed. There was/is a reason why a lot of cop shops deleted the 40cal from their inventory, the female (only two genders) officers found this to weapon to hard for them to control so how would a 10mm benefit anyone and in today's environment even some weak wrist-ed binary's. I own and shoot 40cal. and enjoy what little pain that goes with it. It tells me that i'm still alive and in control. .

It’s a big difference !! I’ve had both and 10MM is way more powerful than .40 but that depends on the Bullets you’re using .
