  • We've been busy working on a project for our travel channel and would like to share some of our progress. Using various techniques and tools (below) we are able to enhance the realism of the Google Earth Studio renders to create unique guides for our viewers.
    We are using:
Blender Add-on: "Earth Tools" (See video and get free tools at: • Earth Studio Tools for... )
    - import Earth Studio project/renders into Blender
    - add kml routes
    - add green screen to interact with Earth Studio environment
    - add other 3D objects (Cruise Ship, fountains, cars, labels, tunnels, etc)
Maps Model Importer (See video at: • Google Earth Studio & ... )
    - create meshes in Blender to produce reflections on water
After Effects (See green screen at 8:30 of: • Animating a Lamborghin... )
    - composite layers from rendered files
    - apply green screen (for interacting with Earth Studio render)
There is also a quick preview of our "night-time" technology - we are still developing this technique but we will make it available when we have worked out some of the bugs.
We are very excited about the possibilities of Earth Studio and we eagerly await for future enhancements from the Google team.

You did it again! Can't wait to see how you tweak the elevation of the path.

I chatted with the Google Earth Studio's PM and mentioned you guys! So insane what you've been able to achieve

I spoke with P and the team last year. They've been really helpful in adding some new features that have made the Blender tool functional (added more JSON data for trackpoint positioning, Cloud rendering)

Hello, I love your videos, I have a question, do you sell your nice videos to some tourism business and if yes, how do you manage it with google ?

I only use the videos on my travel channel. There are usage restrictions, however, using the video for non-commercial use is generally ok (i.e. teaching video, guide, visual presentation)

While it is no Google Earth Studio from the prospective of keyframes. the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is better in many ways. It is cloud delivered on demand. First, it includes the entire world in 3D skin & terrain textures (hard to believe), Yep, everything, the entire planet or the 98 percent in 3D Google has missed so far. Then it includes full and complete night lighting which is extremely realistic, full optional snow & ice covering as desired, fog as desired, spectacular rain and wet ground effects including puddling, moving traffic on all roads, optional weather as desired, and much more. And one does not have to use an airplane to see it. Then to top it off it also now supports full VR on all three major platforms. MS has thrown a ton of money at this and it now renders Google Earth as pretty much obsolete. Some videos are clearly superior to what can be produced in Google Earth (and I am a huge GE fan). Night time, snow cover areas in European mountains and towns, and foggy rain effects videos are off the charts spectacular. And because MS is generating hundreds of millions of dollars off this thing already, they are expanding the whole concept in what is a long term commitment to further improve it. Major and spectacular feature updates are releasing about every two months. It was in top secret development in France and Austria for 5 years before it was released last summer. And everyone and their brother is getting on board as a development partner. It is very open ended. The entire team does hour and a half update meetings on RUclips about once a month. They answer any and all questions asked. They are extremely transparent as to what this is and where it is going. It has rendered all other FS programs as totally obsolete. Extreme use of artificial intelligence has made much of this possible. Google needs to get on board with this too or Google Earth will become a thing of the past. If they bring it to Bing for free, Google may not be the leader in browsers of the future. See blackshark.ai

Hi Mesilla - yup, it's impressive. I'd love to see more 3D locations and higher res in Google Earth. You make a lot of long posts about FS2020. Are you just a fan or do you promote for them?

@@ImagiscopeTech It is what it is. Take it or leave it. In my case I am a VR freak. And MSFS 2020 is almost the ultimate for that. I've sorted, categorized and cataloged over 12,000 attractions in 3D GEVR, but this blows most them away. I have a list or cruise ships, naval yards, ship museums, cruise ship building sites, and naval vessels in 3D GEVR that totals in the hundreds. I do that in many categories. My favorites are cog wheel train and gondola car rides. I've found about 500 ot them in 3D world wide. And I have ridden them all in 3D VR.

Awesome. I've had it on my list to play but I know I'd need to take several weeks off work.
