I confirm I succeed today to add a 3D-plane following a large route path (loop of 300 kms). It is much more easy to do than I thought. That add-on is working fine, and very useful ! My next step is to create a scenario and tune the lights to reach a good-looking movie. Thank you again for your creative add-on and your professional tutorial !
Really EXCELLENT !!! Extremely well explained and described. Many thanks for having shared your work and your efforts. This is a really professional level. Now I gonna try do it myself thanks to your explanations. For sure, I will share if I succeed, and if the quality is good.
Really nice videos and very well explained. You made me discover a new world! I have a question: I'm going crazy trying to composting directly in blender (using your blender composting video as a cue) but I can't mask the car against the buildings. Can you help me ??
I've only built KML importers for After Effects and Blender. The Blender import tools are more robust as they take advantage of full 3D. I'm not aware of similar tools for other platforms. You can integrate with some aspects via After Effects. I have a video on how this is done using the free C4D version: ruclips.net/video/F4uHEeO1PyE/видео.html
Hi Sir, Why when I render the car only the KML route line appears? Even though in the Layout TAB blender everything appears normally (Car, Route and Maps).
Hi Rob. In your add-on, I do not understand the difference between POLY and NURBS for the curve option. Could you please explain. Many thanks again for this powerful and efficient tool !!
Poly is basically point to point lines. Nurbs will curve between points and allow for more smoothing options (set order U and resolution U higher for more precise curves and look). I mainly use Nurbs ( I should have made it the default)
Hi Rob. Using your tutorial, I tried to make a video similar at the one your published several days ago (KML Flight Path - Zurich to Milan). Unfortunately, my KML is accurate at the beginning of my video, but once my camera is moving fast (from 0 to 3000 meters high within 3 seconds), the Route path disappears... and reappears when my camera slows down. Did you use a similar way to build your video "KML Flight Path - Zurich to Milan" ? Do I have to take care of a specitif paramater with the altitude ? Thanks a lot Thierry
@@ImagiscopeTech Yes ! That solves my issue ! Thank you so much !! More details for anybody who want to use large route paths, change into Blender : Camera / Object Data properties / Lens / and the 2 following settings : "Clip Start" & "End". End is the largest size of your route.
Hey there, first of all amazing tutorial, I've been waiting so long for it and it is exactly what I was looking for!! :) Just unfortunately for my second clip that I wanted to do with it, the altitude information of the imported KML route is off. The route goes hundreds of meters down and then hundreds up. I exported the json several times from GES, looked through the tracking points, compared it to other files but nothing, I can't work it out. Does anyone have an idea for that issue?
Hallo! Why is it that after the introduction of route.kml, the "start" point is not attached to me? For some reason, the "snap to" field is completely empty.
Google Earth uses lat/long coordinates. Blender uses 3D space coordinates. You need to create a lat/long trackpoint in Earth Studio at the start of the KML route (for Blender) so it knows where to place it in relation to the converted JSON data. If there is no snap to item, you haven't created the trackpoint (trackpoints are different than placemarkers in KML)
@@ImagiscopeTech It looks like I've overlooked something. Let's go through the steps. First, in Google Earth Pro, I created a route file and saved it as a .kml file. Secondly, I imported it into GES and set it as the origin of the location. Third, exported 3D tracking data as .a json file. Then I did the visualization. After that, I start Blender. And again, there is nothing in the "snap to" field. a little later, I will send a link to the video, so as not to clog the branch. I would appreciate your help.
@@Komsa-city hi, I've looked at the video. Make sure the second JSON file is selected if the terrain check is selected. Only import the video and JSON file once. See if that works.
Hats off for all the efforts and time you spend on this kind of tutorial. The best youtube tutorial, I've ever come across in my life.
Wow, thanks
You could make a game driving on those streets

Each one of your videos opens doors and possibilities I never thought of before. Excellent work. This channel deserves more subs.
It's our secret right now 🤣. Yeah no, I want more subs
Dang it I had no idea this was possible!! Wish Earth Studio was open to access!
I think that I have to pay for this wonderful and valuable class.

Thanks so much for this amazing video! Just wondering if there’s a free alternative to the Adobe After Effects? Thank you! :)

AMAZING ...CAN WE MAKE A CAR CHASE? CAN WE ADD CLOSE UP CAMERAS? PLEASE REPLY ME
can we make this same animation in after effects?
Hi Sir, Why when I render the car only the KML route line appears? Even though in the Layout TAB blender everything appears normally (Car, Route and Maps).
How to create close shots of car
how we can made match googel earth studi with some 3d model object like your way but in another tio or softwar??

Yes. Camera had two settings (clipping, I think): 0.1m and 100m .. two max/min distance settings ... Change to 0.01m and 10000m (or greater)

just one question how do i install this
Hi Rob- My company is looking for someone to make 3D maps like these for a bicycle tour we have coming up. Is that a service you offer?
Feel free to contact us through the about page on our channel.
hello i have question. i have succeed to import footage and json. but when i import the KML file, the" nap to " is empty. i dont know why?
You probably don't have any trackpoints. Or, some blender languages cause error, try English version.
thankyou it is really the language problem
hello , is it possible to hide the path line when the car model moving?
Yes, set all geometry of the curve to 0 (i.e. bevel)
OK thanks

Try playing with proximity and reduction settings.
