Great overview. Just a quick add: the back-trigger is actually a memory trigger on many of the Klarus flashlights - I think this is the same, but don't have mine in front of me. So if you turn off the flashlight in Turbo mode, it will activate turbo mode when you hit it. I use this when camping as my "light up the night and scare away bears (mostly raccoons) - mode.
It pays to take a bit of time with the Klarus flashlights to figure out the triggers, instant-on, and safety lock-downs so that you don't accidentally drain the battery if you have it in your pocket or pack.
The only thing I dislike about this flashlight is that finding an extra battery has been challenging for me. I'm sure I'll be able to soon.
I mention the exact same issue with the user interface, in my review. Hard to get used to.

Im honestly surprised you didn't latch on to one of Nitecores "smart ring tactical" lights. They are by far the easiest flashlight ive used user interface wise. quick access to strobe and full bright, or variable low light for every day tasks etc at a very affordable price. The blue & red lights i dont use much but its neat to have and during usual operation you never even know they're there.
I know, Thats one reason I ended up getting the light for my father years back. I was just saying I was surprised preparedmind101 didn't latch onto them since they are so easy to operate and things. Other than no usb charge port.
Check out the Klarus XT1100GT Tactical light, I have one and it's terrific. 2000 Lums on max, standard tactical interface plus 3 more. Small, compact and great quality.
I’ve been using mine daily for the last three weeks and Its been a real pain. First off, you need to remember to locked it out all the time, it will turn on on you. Second, its more of a flood light than a search light. It doesn’t have as much usable range as a ultra fire 300 lm zoomable flashlight. Don’t get me wrong, its bright and makes a good house light but for what it cost there are a lot more versatile lights out there for a lot less money. I might add the stitching on the holster fell apart after two weeks.

I'm torn between the Thorfire vg15s and the astrolux s1 thing is I only want to spend $30ish on a great light I have a wowtac a2s and I'm impressed I just wanna see how much more brighter the astrolux is 1600lm supposedly and the thorfire vg15s is 1070lm
Don't know if 26650s will become more popular. If the Telsa/Panasonic gigafactory is going to be pumping out 2170s, expecting to that size to become popular in flashlights.
The flashlight is impressive in both illumination and price. I will add that to my "if I ever had the funds and could convince my wife it is useful and will be used frequently as opposed to something cheaper" wish list

If you're talking about rifles and the like, check out nitecore. They have kits which include remote switch and a weapon mount for all sorts of things.

Zack8133 I recommend the Olight r40 seeker .Usb rechargeable,comes with a 26650 battery so no need to buy any extras. It's got more than enough power(1100 lumens) fits in your pocket.Its my go to light most of the time and I've got some with way more power. You won't be disappointed.

Looks bigger / thicker than the ThruNite TC 12 and the OLight S20R Baton. Of course, it throws a lot more (3000) lumens. Current cost on Amazon is $99.Not a bad option.
It definitely is. Those torches you mentioned are all 18650, the G20 is 26650. 8mm more diameter on the battery alone.

I dont believe it has a 3000 lumens, but it is still pretty good flashlight. And it is rechargeable. So i love it. Anyway who has use for a 3000 lumen flashlight? I definitely do not. But it is still pretty good feeling, that you have something like this with you.

Received mine from China in only Five Days. Columbus would never believe it. Heck, my Grandfather would never believe it either.
Just to let you know, when a flashlight has 2 batteries end to end, you can't have built in recharging because the circuitry can't read the voltage of each battery. It will only see the combined voltage of both batteries. If the company was foolish enough to build in usb charging on this kind of light, it could lead to a battery blowing up. So you always have to take the batteries out and charge them seperately. Lithiums are dangerous, you have to respect them.
Now single battery lights are no problem to have built in charging. The circuitry always knows it's voltage to keep it within limits. I hope that sheds some light on the subject. Later.
