Any issues why they discontinued producing these?
@@devz555 So far I have not had anyone report a problem.
How long did yours take to get from nightorch?
Superfast if you get DHL. Two weeks tops but the shipping industry is extremely busy right now.
Ok thats what I figured... I ordered a camera from a different company and the mail lost it in china..... I did do the 36 for DHL and it's been about 2 weeks now so I'm hoping within the next few days and it said 3 days ago that it was at Hong Kong International..... Thanks for the reply

Your excitement just pulled me out of a bad pandemic funk. Thank you, Sir. Your excitement makes me happy to be alive again:)
The local newspaper ran an article about finding several beached fish on the shore. Turns out they were blind which caused them to inadvertently run ashore, but why they became blind is still a mystery.
I'm not sure a fish could go blind... I've shined a laser multiple times into the eyes of my fish and they seem to still perfectly see me when I walk through the room and they can also see their food...
Cymatic here we have our culprit xD

Matt your demonstration of the Acebeam W30 is the best I have seen. Thankyou for showing what it looks like being on the other end of the beam. also showing it under water was great. Good review and video! cheers :)

I am just amazed at the power down wind this torch has. Thank you for letting us all know on RUclips.
I got to get one of these! Cheers for the video Matt. You're really throwing some cash and time at this channel at the moment
Adding the picture and name of each flashlight is very helpful and a big improvement, so please keep doing it! The W30 looks mad, although I struggle to imagine a use for it in my case. It sure will be interesting where LEP goes in future......5000 lumens, adjustable output and an adjustable lens?!
Thanks for all your efforts Matt. You are definitely one of my favourite channels, and part of the reason I currently have 4 flashlights on order!
I had been wondering about these... thanks for the video reviewing & explaining the LEP technology Matt. 👍
This is what a true dedicated thrower should be... NO SPILL.
I love it.... 👍
These are the examples we need. no misleading advertising! Thank you! great!
Acebeam should come with a diffuser/filter attachment - for the option of focused spot beam to flood.
You arent supposed to have LEP light pointed at your skin so not sure about that. Wide flood means it will be used for close tasks with people around.
yea ! I was thinking that too ! I would never use the red one but the diffuser, i'd use so much i'd want it on a hinge as a flip top
If you want flood instead of spot beam they probably want you to purchase a second flashlight lol
I’ve been looking for a light exactly like this for a very long time lol
Im going to try a little experiment to see if I can put another lens over the existing one for flood
I simply unscrewed the inner ring that holds the red filter glass in; then I fine-Sharpie traced two circles of frosty whitish plastic--flat pieces from a two gallon Zephyrhills water jug; scissored them into circles; then I locked those two white disks into the filter house by screwing the inner in ring back inward over them. Now, the beam is quite tame and flooding. In the middle of the flood, there's a yellowish rectangular patch.
great review. excited to see how light looks like with diffuser like you mentioned.
Dude. I love your enthusiasm. Don’t change. Ever.
Watching you get so excited about this stuff has turned me into a flashlight geek
You are my flashlight jedi master! Love your videos!!
Just ordered mine last night and can’t wait to receive it!
Tiablo A9 with parabolic reflector comes to mind. Awww the 2000s flashlight scene lol
I bought one of these about a week ago because I watched your video... its awesome and its really more practical and useful than I had anticipated..
Clearly I’ve been kept in the dark about such powerful flashlights!!!!
sammeeee
The technology is amazing, but as to being able to identify the target area, a conventional light with its large hot spot is preferable. However, I was greatly impressed by the under water shot! The best use of this technology may be in dive lights! Well done video, as always.
They are rated 100m or more.
At the distances this light is intended for, you won't be able to identify anything in the target area with a conventional LED or xenon torch with reflector. With this LEP technology, you won't be able to identify anything outside of the hotspot target area, but that's the point, I think. I do agree that this technology looks like it would work great for dive lights. Seems it would be and to cut through the water pretty good.
And I can only imagine how the technology has advanced since you made your comment.
I do love the laser torches, but I need more spill in my torch so I'm looking into a Noctigon or Emisar torch. Probably the Emisar dt8.
@@Robbie1075 actually yes you can, quite easily. This is a stupid gimmick flashlight for dumb people like you who have to constantly overindulge due to mental deficiency.

Nice ol flashlight collection behind you! Cool lights at night
Great video, nice light with good throw for seeing things a mile away, just no spill for seeing things within 5 feet to your right or left.
Wow. That’s crazy. Your 700 foot run reminded me of Benny Hill. LOL
Now that music is playing in my head....lol
1.8 million candela...WOWZERS! Laser excited phosphor, again wow. I was stunned by the BLF GT Giga-Thrower, but the W30 is the new champion thrower, in a much more user friendly size. Keep up the great work. You continue to inform and amaze.
Years ago I had a 2.5 million cp spotlight. I could knockout street lights, within 2 to 3 seconds. It was badass.
That diffuser at the end you showed works pretty darn well
Holy cow that is s super bright light. I want two of those neat stuff. Good vid.
You know when you have a major passion for really really bright flashlights 3:01 LOL!
HOLY CRAP !!!! This is the future :O
I bought one at the end of last december, I figured it to be better to spend my money on instead of fireworks. I love it! It is obviously not an allround usable flashlight but from a technical point of view I love it. I also bring it when I go paragliding, when I ever get in trouble I can signal easily for help even during the day. For everything else I got an awesome TM03 that also has an impressive lightoutput for it's size.
Thanks for the review, this video convinced me to get one back then.
THATS absolutely amazing it’s crazy how expensive these are. I’d never be able to spend that kind of money on these lights so thank you for all your great videos.
I'm a gear junkie. Now that I found your channel, you are contributing to my problem lol
WARNING
DO NOT CROSS THE STREAMS!

this guy is the most brilliant and funny flashologist I have ever seen...
The beam looks just like aerogel. Bought it a couple weeks ago and I have had so much fun with it.
Great video Matt! Really enjoyed and amazing job passing 28K! Keep it going my friend! :D

I love your videos! Thank you for making editing and posting them:)
Single mode on/off is the best...all my flashlights have those stupid extra modes that only serve to frustrate as I half click to get to high power mode, the only mode I use.
Dude, you're my new best friend. Those are some incredible torches. I've got a few lights that I like but your collection rocks.
Could be a great tool to substitute for a flare as a distress signal.
Who else was hoping he would shoot that ten story hotel that he did in the first blf gt video Matt did???
I was waiting for that the whole video. Haha.
Disappointed he didn't

This. ⤴
Yeah, he needs to go back and do a long reach.
Finally LASER that i've been waiting for has come. This will complete my gear for night hunting combine with Olight H2R Nova and Nikon P1000 3.000 mm super telephoto lens.
Amazing. Seems to be more practical with the diffuser. I wonder what it looks like to stick it pointing vertically downward, just under the surface (to eliminate reflection) of relatively deep (and clear) water.
Fabulous review , incredible flashlight. A couple more advantages I noticed over an aspheric zoomie which I don’t think you mentioned: no Saturn rings in the beam, and a round hotspot instead of a square image of an led.
The round hot spot is definitely nice. I like the square as a novelty, but in most cases round seems more useful.
With this I can take books reading while camping to a new level
That's the best torch video I've seen:)
Great stuff!
Thts awesome. With that diffuser its pretty bright too
Incredible technology!
@Whats Up? It's not about lumens -_-
@Whats Up? Blind me with your 3500 lumens and I'll blind you with that 500 lumens W30.
It’s a laser, and when it comes to throw it’s not as simple as best being maximum lumens. This W30 is the future of spotlight technology, I’m just waiting for an updated version. I’ll likely get the Imalent RT90 for 2021.
@Whats Up? But we are talking about candela for that W30, do a research.
@@yourfilipinotv6477 what did he say cuz he deleted he's comment
You really truly can find anything (the most random stuff) in RUclips lol
Interesting new technology to create throw. Getting closer to the Deathstar beam!
You're spot on about having a diffuser.
Great , Matt !
As an old timer , I have over 370 antique and old flashlights and lanterns ... no apologies .... a sickness !
The "flashlight" was named so in it's earliest renditions because the BULBS were prone to Flashing Out at the most inoppertune time ... early bulbs had carbon coated thread , quite fragile then other itterations of filaments .
Today , LEDs rarely "flash out" .....
MATT , YOU NEED TO CARRY THE BALL AND RENAME THE UNDERAPPRECIATED FLASHLIGHT (the Brits call 'em Torches) and bring it into the 21st Century !
A Fan.
what
Yep, torches. And I agree, a renaming is warranted. Handlight, or something. Or boaty mcflash torch.
No just a hobby, not crazy. I collect knives, flashlights and watches. Few guns.
Amazing....now I want one....really bad!!!!
Can You Demo Size of a Tin Canned Acebeam W50 LEP 4000m Throw distance Flashlight can ?
Me tooooo
Your an even bigger flashlight nerd than me!! Good job, great review.
Matt, Good day. Thanks much for demonstrating W30 LEP. Some high end car manufacturers, in EU have started using LEP technology, with reduced effect (MOT restrictions, equ: to DOT) Some DIY guys in India have retrofitted LEP embedded headlights (against the Law, of course) to their cars. Such headlight assembly is more prevalent for sale in the Far East.
I am amazed at the throw (though narrow) with an amazing low Lumens eg: 500LM ! And the reflected beam off the surface of water. I have not seen this phenomenon at any time.
The most promising exhibit was your TL ceiling lamp diffuser. That made a fantastic difference in perimeter illumination. Bravo.
The 21700 with a built in charging unit with charging/ full charge indicator is great @ 5100mAh.
An ambitious thought... can we not embed the LEP unit in 2D MAGLITE ? of course, you can.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Awe...no discount code for the Acebeam W30?
I just saved 25% using your code for the MS18...that was epic! Thank you. Now I just need to figure out a way to save on the W30
The future is here 🔦 . Now they need to make a flip up diffuser covers to make it really versatile 👍

My dollar tree flashlight ha adjustable lens wtf
this men is heaven for flash light lovers :D and his channel !
Hey Matt I thought you did an awesome job talking about the flashlights and comparing them. Thanks alot my friend !
Need a drone to hang it off and hover over some cows and beam them up. It would make for some interesting photography
Remy Brennan send one and ill send the footage.
@Red Nexican 😂
I might actually try that on my cows one day
Now that's a great idea!
You fucking nerds are so damn stupid. You never shined a light before?? Only difference it will be whiter. Not a big deal at all
Me: Idk officer. I heard a noise in my garage so I shined the light on him and he just caught fire 🔥.
Officer: Mmmmm Hmmm. (-_-)
The light is not hot at all. There is zero discomfort if I put my hand in front of the light.
Lmfao
@Factual Fox 😆
Just got the 90CRI version, it is awesome. Handheld sunlight, like a mirror in the sun without the sun.
Dude when you say 1.8 million and make the faces it just cracks me up so bad ha ha ha ha ha :) great vid
Having seen this close up in person, I still say it should come with a user age limit or warning. It's an incredibly cool flashlight that is more of a laser than a flashlight. It could permanently damage the eyesight of a person or pet. But used carefully, I think it's amazing!
Great video, Matt. I like the way you are putting the little flashlight pictures next to your beamshots now.
harga berapa Bos?
Is it still technically “laser light” after it’s reacted with the phosphor though?
Even more amazing, as far as I know this is only their second model using this tech. Just imagine what is to come.
Does the body of the unit get very hot to the touch?
Given it's only 500 lumens, and with the size of the host, probably not.
No, unless you're in somewhere hot, over 32℃(89℉), and constantly using it over 4 minutes. It only gets quite warm, maybe a bit hot(the head). If you're in somewhere cooler(25℃or 76℉), it probably gets warm. The body of the flashlight never gets hot.
You are many great flashlight channels, but there is only one "Best flashlight channel" and that is Matt Smith's channel. I think this is a masterpiece in the flashlight realm.
I suffer from Flashlights fetish, collected lamps for 20 years. But this one made me shiver
The coolest part about this is it’s relatively new technology. Can’t even imagine what this type of light will be capable of in 5 years!
It was always blue light exciting phosphor new is using a pretty inefficient laser for it
Peter Zingler got to start somewhere
Two thoughts:
1. A "doughnut diffuser". A diffuser that diffuses the edge of the beam, giving some spill, while maintaining the "hot spot".
2. What happens when they make a LEP the size of a BLF GT ?
Nuclear fusion
OMG!! That water reflection 😍
Love your vid on the latest torch tech!
Year 2050
Matt Smith: well guys... now I’m blind......
Just to let you know when you were testing the flashlight you shined it into my window and woke me up now the thing is is I live in California🤣😝
By the way isn't technology crazy
Great video, excellent attention to detail, very enjoyable thanks Matt..........andy from London England
I have large assortment of lights including a modded BLF GT. My go to light? A Convoy L6 with all the mods and high drain batteries. Perfect compromise of flood and throw to make it the ultimate utility work light I couldn’t think of a better law enforcement light. For serious search and rescue the BLF GT 70 is very good with needed spill, but tight beams can miss things, so you need to pick the right tool. You wouldn’t use a thrower in a forest and you wouldn’t use a flood to spot a coyote across a field.
I want it. I bet that is going to be awesome for pest hunting.
They must have listened to you. Mine came with a screw on frosted diffuser.
Just got mine and i love it! Im a bit concerned about the phosphor being a bit chipped at the edges but it works perfect. Super bright super far, 20ft and closer you see nothing its too bright. Past that you start to see better but not wide its very tight. About 1foot wide at 30ft. Its pointless to walk and try to see things itll just wiggle everywhere. Its great at standing still and pinpointing.
That's a beautiful flashlight. I love it
.And here I thought I had a flashlight fetish . This guy could light your hat on fire from a 1/4 mile away !
So anyway, I do a lot of night driving. I've been wanting something to respond to people who are shining their hi-beams into everyone's eyes, but that won't affect other drivers. This might be what I've been looking for.
@don joe I'm still thinking about it.
Oh yeah, that's pretty fucking annoying when it happens.
⚡Great Energy⚡ My MX-991/U had a dispersion lens like that. Stay motivated and safe and thanks for the video!
Just subscribed! Thumbs up too! EXCELLENT presentation... thank you for that. Now all Acebeam has to do is combined the diffuser, red filter and its already standard throwing beam into that unit.
I looked into this light and I saw the future. Turns out my future is really bright.
Man you are funny.
Louis Richner badum dum 🧀
A true lightsaber! Our boys in China knocked it out of the park with this technology.
Now, I approve of this existing, but at the same time don't plan on getting one, for much the same reason why I don't plan on purchasing a pocket rocket or coke can blaster: I and the average flashaholic have absolutely no use for it. It's simply too much throw to be usable. This is the kind of device you need to use alongside a magnifying device to take full advantage of, like binoculars or a telescope (come to think of it, this attached to a telescope would be rad).
If anything, LEP is the type of tech you'd use for a spaceship's headlights. Outer space is a big pond for this shark to splash around in.
Holly crap this is most amazing compact flashlight I've seen...
I just got mine and it is all it's supposed to be. It will not provide the wide useful beam of the Astrolux or those huge throw lights but it's not supposed to either, it's a small light and only has 500 L but it is more concentrated then any other light. It's pretty cool. I can't imagine where the flashlights will be in ten more years of progress but now that they are using the digital world to make light beams, it should take off like crazy. A light that is made just like this, but in one of those large formats would be killer.
8:54 NASA's artificial sun🤣🤣
Has anyone shined back at you to signal their presence or annoyance?
rofl
You're right about it needing diffusion for more practical purposes, like S&Rescue. However, where I see this as the universe standard, is using with a rifle or spot scope to give the maximum light on target without spilling onto unwanted objects or giving you up if you use the red filter. Great tactical light.
At a distance, lighting up hugs or coyotes on a night hunt, superb.
Signaling friendlies without spilling onto "the neighbors" would be great. Using the red filter or standing in a well backlit area (like an F.O.B. would let you identify bogies or hot spot a lost friendly without giving a target spot for a sniper... Or maybe a signal for landing a plane LOL... Lots of uses for the right person but I think something with a little spill/broader/adjustable beam would be in line for the average camper/outdoorsman or even search and rescue. Cool light, though. Wish I had one when I was operating (no, I'm not a doctor, lol).
Nice vid Math, I love the way you presenting everything :) ! I have the BLF-GT quit a few years and only have "used" (read playing with it) a few times. It's a monster thrower, but practical no use at all. It's like a workout walking my dog with the BLF-GT, it has 8 18650 battery's in it, and it's very heavy. Now the Acebeam W30 is even extremer with more throw light, but for looking at something it's more worse then the BLF-GT I think? Greats from The Netherlands.
Gee, 41,000 views in 2 days. You're popular man.
Since it throws SO FAR, and too small of a beam to be practical at less than way out there, clamp it to a ball head on a tripod to lock on to far targets. Oh, now we need another tripod under a telescope or camera with a big zoom. Ooh, ooh, both on the same tripod with the ability to line them up together. 🥴🤓
This light is sick love your reviews you make me want to buy everything you have lol
