The lighting a fire thing used to be a very impressive demo when I first saw it maybe 20 years ago with an incandescent halogen flashlight, but done solely with LEDs emitting purely visible light and no infrared whatsoever, it is vastly more impressive still.
Look into it once by accident and you'll be blind forever.
Musthave torch🎉
Imagine if all that energy from the heat could be transferred to power more light..?! That'd be extremely efficient, as the energy is turned into heat or light. LED's changed the game, and newer Diodes are pushing even more light, less heat. I don't own any cool flashlights, but have owned "grow lights" and have noticed extremely less heat output, and more light.
These flashlights are really, really cool! 👍💯🔥🔥🔥✌️
You are misunderstanding what is happening in the video. LEDs only emit visible light, there is no infrared radiation being emitted as in a tungsten filament, which is why the fire demo is thus even more impressive here. All the waste heat being produced by the LED chips is taken away by the fan.
@@Muonium1There is still some infrared heat as the emitters are not totally efficient. Some of that IR is also produced by the driver, but that is mosly absorbed into the body and radiated outward, hence the fans.
@@ethan-lumencraft- There is, but note that the emitters are typically kept below about 100C to avoid cooking them, and a blackbody emitter of only 375K has peak emission in the mid to deep infrared around 10 microns with virtually no emission below 3um, and so the glass protective window on the front of the light will absorb all this IR light.
@@Muonium1how much is the participation of UV radiation at LED?
@@ulfunger4608 For a white light LED like this, there is none. The blue emitters are producing 450nm light with no emission below 400nm. You can now buy UV LEDs emitting all the way down into the deep UVC though and I have one emitting 255nm light for fluorescent minerals. It was $200 though and not very bright.
Ace beam gotta catch up, loving thid design tho
This flashlight will be very useful in the basement of a haunted house.
I have that one
I think the battery will drain very quickly due to the increase in lumens and the large number of LEDs
We have a rocket scientists her folks, captain obvious
I want one
'How much heat it can put out' is misleading.
What's actually happening here is the flashlight puts out an incredible amount of (visible, not infrared) light, that the paper then absorbs and heats itself up. Neither the flashlight nor the LEDs themselves reach temperatures high enough to ignite stuff.
Model and link to purchase..??

200,000 Lumens its sooo cute
I have the ms-18, and the SR32. I can tell you I cannot use them in residential areas because people would be calling the police. 200k lumens is balls deep crazy😜🤪🤣
I'm the trouble starter, punkin' instigator
I'm the fear addicted, a danger illustrated
I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter
You're a firestarter, twisted firestarter
I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter
Great. Now that song is in my head
Prodigy indeed. 😎😁😂👏
Prodigy always slaps
Just Cause 3 vibes
These seem like they need better throw.
So SR32
If I want to or need to set a paper bag on fire, I'll buy this flashlight. Of course, if I don't have matches.
Pov you open gta 6 with an xbox 360:
..😮..
behind you is a hill
It's a mountain range in Utah.
Way past useful, but still fun
That's a hill
What's the flashlight name and brand you missed the most important part of the video 😠
It's the first thing in the description
The XHP 70.2 produces a maximum of 4000 lumens. 4000×32= 128,000 lumens. Another deception.
The XHP70.2 can produce over 9k lumens when pushed hard enough: budgetlightforum.com/t/led-test-review-cree-xlamp-xhp70-2-p2-40e-4000-k-the-second-generation-of-extreme-overcurrent-and-light-flux-capability/49020
