  • Today we will be taking a look at the Acebeam W30, the first of its kind with over 2600 Meters of throw or 1.6 MILES. This is a beyond line of sight flashlight that uses LEP technology to achieve its monstrous throwing power, it is powered by a single 21700 lithium cell which gives it light weight and long run time capabilities with 1 hour and 45 minutes of battery life. Our particular model is the 6500k version and it’s rated at 1.5 million candela. Many people wouldn’t find much use in this type of flashlight but when you need immense throw this will not disappoint! This can be purchased directly from Acebeam’s amazon store for $259.00 USD and it comes with a charging cable, battery and a red filter.
    Purchase link : www.amazon.com/ACEBEAM-W30-Ta...
    (Link does not contain affiliate code I just put them so people can have easy access to purchasing the fantastic flashlights I present on my channel!)

      You really don't want to turn it into a flooder. It's a mere 500 lumen on a good day. there are $15 keychain flashlights smaller than an AA battery that give more light than this flashlight and flood really nice.
      This one is dedicated by design for throw and it marvelously gets that one job done well.

    Hi man! I’m looking for a powerful flashlight for spotting fish through the water when night fishing. I’ve been looking at these as they have a strong focused beam, but would the reflection of the water be dangerous? I assume this is a laser right? Do you have any other recommendations? All in all I’m looking for a very powerful focused/focusable beam with as long run time as possible.. thanks in advance

    This is a cool light and I do plan on getting one but I need something supper bright, adjustable throw and will last at least 6 hours of use. I must be able light up the inside of a truck trailer at look for damage, chemical spills and equipment.
    I have a few head lamps for when I am actually working on the trailers but am constantly looking for better versions of those.

    The distance of almost 2,292m beam is really amazing...but I find a bit bulky, especially the head.
    I've been thinking about getting the Klarus XT12GT, which is very compact, and it has a range of 603m.

    • @LumenChaser
      @LumenChaser  4 года назад

      Yes sir it is amazing! At least you don’t have to carry around the BLF GT anymore to get tremendous throw! Imagine how bulky THAT would be to carry!

    • @LumenChaser
      @LumenChaser  4 года назад

      Mash I’d recommend the Emisar D1S as it has much superior throw compared to the klarus and it’s much smaller, the D1S v2 is coming soon with even MORE throw and it will take a 21700 cell so I would say wait for that to be released if you want to be amazed!

I suggest if you don’t have the money for this, buy a few 100 Lumen key ring lights that run on 3AAA batteries each from a dollar tree nearby, tape them together, and buy or make a reflective piece and a high zoom lens, it would be no more than 20$ and it would last a long time

      I bought two of those You seen on TV” “Tactical” “Military grade” adjustable lights that take 3 AAA batteries. Now I have only had them a few days so I cannot speak on operational quality but they are surprising me with the quality of materials used and something like 310 Lums they are about 20.00 each and you can buy them single or in packs of two for a bit less. There are a few lights out there that are identical made by other companies one I saw was 200 lums and about 15.00 where I live there is another one that looks identical as well seems it is 1100 lums has a rechargeable battery and comes with the 3 AAA Adapter as well for about 30.00. I fount that one the day after I bought these and think next payday I will buy two of them to try out for work.

      I don’t think the price will drop soon unless the technology gets more abundant and cheaper and either way kids won’t even know what it is / know about it and if they do know about it then their intentions won’t be such

    Well kiddos, I was on the Acebeam website and guess what Santa brought you. The W30 is discontinued due to parts problems. How’s that for a lump of coal?

    • @jdmvette
      @jdmvette 4 года назад

      I think it's a bit more complicated than the given reason. Are there many user reports or videos of W30 failures? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
      I'm thinking this light will end up appreciating in value over time due to the fact that it's been discontinued.

      @@k.g.389 I'll have to take your word for it. Acebeam.com stated on their website about 9 months ago stated they would honor their W30 warranty but that they were not in production at that time. Still not on their website so I guess they don't sell them to themselves and their online store. I would be cautious to be on a waiting list unless you hear from the company that they are producing them again.

    Good review. Just a couple of points. When filming the instructions on the box please ay the box down. Leave it. It looks like you filmed during a 7.4 EQ. I was getting car sick trying to read that. Question. How does Candela (cd) translate into throw distance. It's not like it cuts off after 2600M. I can guarantee you that testing this in the mountains / desert it would light up a cliff wall 2 - 3 even 4 MILES AWAY. What I don't get is the relatively low LUMENS output and the incredibly high cd. New technology I guess.
    Lastly - DON'T CALL IT A LASER. Idiots in gvmnt will BAN this technology without ever discovering that it is laser stimulated but the output light is NOT laser. A real laser fired from earth only spreads out about 3 feet when it gets to the moon.

    • @LumenChaser
      @LumenChaser  4 года назад

      1 yes I noticed the movement and I will take that into consideration next time, 2 max distance is measured when light equates to .5lm per square meter which is equivalent to light from a full moon, 3 the 6500k and HCRI versions are most definitely considered a class 3 laser product it says so in the instructions so if those types of products are banned in your country then do not purchase them, I assume your in USA so we can purchase them but don’t get caught with it doing illegal activities like pointing at planes. But I get that we shouldn’t call it a laser for our own sake so we can have more cool products available in the future but I had to point it out for reasons stated above
      Thanks for watching!
