    Awesome video and thank you for filming it. Just curious, why TST vs 2 Wheel Dyno or Moore Mafia for the ECU flash?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад

      Thanks man, i haven’t tried them and TST has always been good to me. The tune I went with is just an unrestricted tune so it is technically the same as anyone would do, maybe I will try one of the others when I do full exhaust and intake

  • @oliviag7976
    @oliviag7976 Год назад +2

    Wait is it cheaper to send in the own ecu and get that flashed? Or just buy the ecu flashed from their website and get it delivered? I need help

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад +1

      It’s the same. The one you buy from TST for $200 you have to send them your ECU. I just finished the install hopefully I can get the video out next weekend.

    PSA: When lifting the fuel tank, make sure you add a towel or something soft to pad the fuel tank's front bottom edge, pad it between the fuel tank and the motorcycle's frame. Otherwise you may notice scuffs and paint chips as you lift the fuel tank.

    2 things. The hex was probably a 5.5 mm hard to find but out there.
    Also you better be at laguna seca.
    Be safe.
    I am curious on what your thoughts will be with the before and after.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад +1

      Haha I didn’t even think about a .5 so not common.
      I had to work this weekend but I got out there on Friday to watch some practice and I rode a few demo bikes.

      It is 5mm (I tried a 5.5mm, and its too big). You just need a good quality and not rounded off 5mm.

    • @coconutmonkey2823
      @coconutmonkey2823 8 месяцев назад

      if you stick a piece of strong paper towel down before putting on the 5mm hex, it will make up for that difference and reduce the risk of stripping. ya welcome.

  • @Denali24

    Did you empty your tank before pulling the fuel line? I didn’t see fuel running out before you put that red cap on?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад +1

      No I left the fuel in, it leaked a few drops but not much

    • @coconutmonkey2823
      @coconutmonkey2823 8 месяцев назад

      but, empty it as much as you can. i did this with my buddy and i had to hold the fuel tank until he indid everything. this was just for the air filter replacement. hahahaha empty it to last marker on gauge and you will be fine.

    Great work as usual Scout... Interested to see how you like it with the unrestricted ECU... FortNine did a review on this bike this (or last) week... And he mentioned a few things you could do to amp the power (easily done because Kawa chokes the power for emmissions regulations purposes)... :D

    • @expresto1222
      @expresto1222 Год назад

      It is due to noise regulations I guess. The ZX4RR's emissions regulations comply with Europe's Euro 5 and Japan's stringent standards. The fuel consumption is 20km/L (47mpg) which is not bad.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад
