The reason it's limited in the first place is because super-short-stroke high-revving 4-cylinder engines don't pass the latest emission regulations (Exhibit B: Yamaha R6). Reflashed it no longer within the pollution limits.

There are kits to fix the Speedo if you mess around with the front/rear sprockets, which will throw your Speedo off. I assume it can be addressed. Can always use Google maps to check your speed using GPS data while riding, but please have it on a mount and not in your hand!!
How many years have you riden the Grom? This ZX4RR is a wonderful and fun bike, but not a great commuter bike. You have to ride it pretty hard to keep it up in the power range, and a daily work grind is best done at more sensible and less adrenaline pumping speeds and revs. And it's as noisy as hell. So if you ever have to go to work early your neighbours will hate you. And if you're stuck in traffic in summer she is going to start to cook you with hot air coming off the fairing. For a commute you want one of those big scooters. The Yamaha TMAX 560 a great choice. Or the Suzuki 400 I think it's called Burgman or Burgham. If you can't love a scooter go Naked, MT-03. Or if it's got to look like this then get a Ninja 400/500.
Does anyone know this: i just got my ZX4rr 2 days ago and the rev only let’s me go to 5-6000rpm max until i reach 6th gear then it lets me go 8000rpm with throttle full open. The selling dealership told me nothing and all i did was sign paperwork, shook hands and off i went. Never said anything on 1st service either or breakin period other than when I asked about it the sales person said “no breakin period, you can ride as you please”
I am super bummed by the weight wtf? I am thinking of a super lightweight bike to do tight twisties and maybe try some cart track stuff but a 414 llbs? Crazy how far Kawasaki & other Japanese bikes have come - my 02 Concours could barely even muster 110-115 with 1000cc and good tires, now you can flash a 400cc bike and make it do 130 lol
Where in the Philippines is someone riding 119 mph? I have ridden all over and even 100 kph is crazy fast in most places. It is the opposite of US and Canada where we have awesome roads and very remote places available to ride.
According to FORTNINE this engine should be capable of 92hp based on a bunch of math he does on a chalkboard. He said you have to remove the catalytic converters, and whatnot put that engine allegedly has quite a bit more potential.
I changed the sprocket for higher gearing and strong with a tail wind pinned the speedo at 140. Now just to remind you.. These bikes were prone to sudden speed wobbles. I wasn't thinking about that. Always check your tire pressure before being stupid. The Kawasaki 500 H1 is a legacy bike like the Z1. Yeah right. There is also Mr. 750.
I thought you had to have a full exhaust installed in order to flash the ECU. So, does this mean I can get the ECU on my 23 ninja 400 flashed without putting on a full exhaust?
I believe that you give the people doing the flash your specs, stock exhaust vs partial system vs full system/air box changes etc. I believe ideal to do the air box/exhaust changes first and then pay once to have the ECU flash done. But I am no expert. Cam
I dont think its meant for top speed. Also, similarly to cars, cylinders don't really matter. A 1.6L turbo will have a significantly lower top speed than a 2.0T or 2.5T I4. Im sure it'd be higher if there was a full exhaust system and maybe a higher flow intake for the bike
Zx4rr was detuned to reduce noise for US laws because it's inline 4 revving to 16k 95% of bikes are factory tuned to run at a reasonable high level where they will still give the engine a very good long life, but won't leave much power on the table With an ECU you probably won't get more than a couple hp, if even that. Decat, exhaust, intake ECU and a Dyno tune and you might get maybe 10hp
It could benefit from a full system exhaust and a high flow air filter.

@@AMSFITNESSx Get the 600cc you’ll get tired of the 400cc in months and thinking about buying a different bigger bike.
@808Affliction I'm leaning more towards the zx6r, since I'd have to pay for a flash aswell when I can achieve more power without it.
Maybe they can retune the riding modes to have different power settings aswell. 🤔
@@AMSFITNESSx You would have rider modes. Just start on rain mode till you get comfortable and learn. Just remember to always respect the bike. If you are spending almost the same amount of money as your starter bike I would get the bigger CC. You won’t regret it.
@808Affliction well my first bike is a ninja 250 and it's been pretty fun throttling all the way.
Zx6r might take away that fun
Get full system exhaust from Indonesia, it's should be same as ZX25R, Austin racing or yoshimura maybe
Same header diameter at nearly twice the displacement? Are you sure the flanges are the same? 🤔
Di indo ma ganti performance parts bukan buat upgrade performance, tapi kebanyakan biar dikata hedon
Akrapovic makes the full exhaust for this bike., the zx25rr is an exact fit
God, I love Texas. I did 90+ for over 3 hours through Texas and it was a blast.
To the people who say the 6 is a lot better, I think a smaller bike that revs like this worth just as much as a 600. This is still way to fast for people that need to keep their license and life
The main competitors to this bike would be the RS660 and the R7, right? Would be interesting to see how they compare in a head to head. I think Gixxer Brah has access to an R7... 😂
There's video's on youtube where they've spliced different clips of the bikes accelerating from the same speed and the r7 is quite a lot faster, surprisingly the r7 accelerates a bit quicker than the rs660 too, I guess that's the low end torque of the r7
@@benjy288no thats the error of such test 👌🏻 rs 660 is faster than r7 and zx4 rr but r7 except launch on track fpr egzample rolll both at optimal gear it be close .
@@benjy288 Yeah the R7 is now the performance bargain for its much better price.
@@KpopNiDontStop Yep, it even has fully adjustable forks, even the old early 90's zxr400 had fully adjustable suspension
no, these arent its competitors...
looks like south Austin, maybe the toll road?
Yeah the highway is 130. His office is on south congress somewhere, I think by the brewery
Looking forward to hear your track day review!
Wonder if you can plug and play a overseas ECU????
Who would win in the race track zx4rr or kove450rr?
Nice 4 stroke 400cc current era production bike, probably the best of the era in its class. With its high rev to 15k, i bet it will have much fun after getting know how to ride it maintaining the high revs when wanna go fast and it's also more comfortable when going slow rather than a very torqueki bike like the bigger cc bikes like the MT09 and more practical for me living in my country, Singapore where land is small and easily gets into trouble if whacking it super fast. This bike is like last time era bikes of 2 strokes beasts like the NSR250 and the Aprilia 250 which easily smoked the 400cc
Moore mafia did a nice tune on the 400.
Can you flash a ecu from a royal enfield classic 350? Took one for a tesr ride and the thing doesn't move.
You cannot flash an additional 3 cylinders into an engine through the ECU.
this bike is sick ,it keeps surprising me🔥
9700 for a 400 versus ZX-6R at 10,200 non abs. 11k for the ABS. I would spend the extra 500 bucks all day long.
Is there a way to upgrade my ninja 400 to the zx400r display? It's much nicer.
dear yammie noob im on a triumph 900 lookin for my first naked bike been riding for appox 40yrs, dirt , no track racing , mainly street. lookin for some opinions for a naked bike im only 5'8" looking for some advice if possible . yes i want power lots of it 😁
MT-09 bro. All day.
Will we get a full track day review of its potential?
I second this question...
Of course we will
Its coming. Yammie just takes baby steps with testing and modding to get the maximum content available, especially on these give away bikes.
please make a comparison between the flashed zx4rr and the cbr 650r I'll soon need to decide between those two but its really hard🙏🙏
Not a competition, the 650 would kill it lol. They make 95hp without mods and with mods can make that same 95 at the tire with the same weight between the 2 for almost the same price
@@fastec5 the cbr weighs almost 20kg more and also im a pretty short dude so i think the ninja might fit me better. I also happen to live in Europe so I wont be modding my bike in any major ways
@@philippmayenburg7282 the 650R is surprisingly small in person. Like, almost Ninja 400 size. Just would depend on your preferences I suppose. As cool as this bike is, for the money I'd rather have a few other bikes. But it is really cool lol.
If the ZX4RR is not more than $9,000, then, YES, it will make sense to buy it.
The reason it's limited in the first place is because super-short-stroke high-revving 4-cylinder engines don't pass the latest emission regulations (Exhibit B: Yamaha R6). Reflashed it no longer within the pollution limits.
the bike is acting like it has a 135mph speed limiter on it. when he shifted from 5th to 6th the bike wasn’t accelerating even though it dropped closer to peak power.
Anybodies know how much that they are new in Europe not in the UK I've a H2 but I'd reckon that I'll have more fun on the 400rr especially on back twisty Roads
Goodness! A 400cc doing over 130? Nice. 👍🏽
If you make a gearing change your speedo will be wrong. Or can you adjust that?
There are kits to fix the Speedo if you mess around with the front/rear sprockets, which will throw your Speedo off. I assume it can be addressed.
Can always use Google maps to check your speed using GPS data while riding, but please have it on a mount and not in your hand!!
can you flash any modern bile ? e.g. i have a ninja 650 2020
This is the bike I’m getting . My first bike . I promise . Awesome video 👍
Been looking for a big boy bike,Honda Grom is fun and all but need something to go to work
How many years have you riden the Grom?
It’s only half the power output even tho i want it to do more. Anybody know why? Currently has 220miles on odometer, did not ride today. Is there a breakin period like 500 miles?
The selling dealership told me nothing and all i did was sign paperwork, shook hands and off i went.
Never said anything on 1st service either or breakin period other than when I asked about it the sales person said “no breakin period, you can ride as you please”
They sold you a Ninja 400 with ZX4RR stickers on it bro!
CANBUS connectors!!! how do they work?
I am super bummed by the weight wtf? I am thinking of a super lightweight bike to do tight twisties and maybe try some cart track stuff but a 414 llbs? That is barely less than a MT-09 which I think is 419llbs? The MT-09 makes way WAY more power to boot! Shoot I was thinking a nice 400 would weigh like 350ish....quite disappointed....a STEEL frame? wtf?
It could benefit from 236 more cubes in the engine
I think its 399cc, so I'd give it about... 237 ml more volume... I agree that's a pretty good size.
What about we call it the zx6r ? Thoughts ?
For new riders he should do a video of how to pick what you want on you flashing your ecu
I don't know how but this dude is the chillest mother fucker in the internet
It’s obviously electronically speed limited
Crazy how far Kawasaki & other Japanese bikes have come - my 02 Concours could barely even muster 110-115 with 1000cc and good tires, now you can flash a 400cc bike and make it do 130 lol
Then something was seriously wrong with your bike.
Pfff.
I had a 1985 gsxr400 that pulled 120mph.
The sprocket combination of this bike in Philippines is 15/43...0-60 is bit slow but the 3rd can reach 119 mph..😁
Where in the Philippines is someone riding 119 mph? I have ridden all over and even 100 kph is crazy fast in most places. It is the opposite of US and Canada where we have awesome roads and very remote places available to ride.
Please put a full racefit exhaust system from the uk
im about too get mine flashed too lets goo
I'd be curious to know if you think the power increase is worth voiding the warranty for a normal person.
No. If you really need more power then get the ZX-6R. I would only flash a new bike if you're loaded with cash and don't care about warranty at all.
Evry video theres a give away. Does he actually give them away or is this some sort of way to increase his subscribers
According to FORTNINE this engine should be capable of 92hp based on a bunch of math he does on a chalkboard. He said you have to remove the catalytic converters, and whatnot put that engine allegedly has quite a bit more potential.
Why dont you upgrade the exhaust ?
but in your state are the horsepower restricted or is the motorbike born with 80 hp?
Hey yam can every bike be flashed and how much does it cost thanks yammie
Yes, you can flash any ECU. Even in an 18 wheeler.
Cam
Filter/Stack, good Exhaust, Rizoma stealths, EZ dub
Just wondering how much dollars you spent on flashing ecu.
looks about as fast as my 07 sv650
when it was brand new
What are the dyno torque improvements?
Pretty sure moore mafia said you had to have a e adapter and a scan tool to clear the flashing codes
Its amazing how a 4 cylinder barely pushes passed 130 😂 over here with a ChinaForce 450ss parallel pushing passed that
I dont think its meant for top speed. Also, similarly to cars, cylinders don't really matter. A 1.6L turbo will have a significantly lower top speed than a 2.0T or 2.5T I4. Im sure it'd be higher if there was a full exhaust system and maybe a higher flow intake for the bike
thats insane, + 1/3 of its original hp is a lot. Can it be also done on zx25rr to gain, say, 15 hp too?
Zx4rr was detuned to reduce noise for US laws because it's inline 4 revving to 16k
95% of bikes are factory tuned to run at a reasonable high level where they will still give the engine a very good long life, but won't leave much power on the table
With an ECU you probably won't get more than a couple hp, if even that.
Decat, exhaust, intake ECU and a Dyno tune and you might get maybe 10hp
@@Codec264the 25RR revs to 17,000... So did the also detune the US 25RR?
Man I would love a bike like that looks beautiful
The Brah has gotten into Yammie and Yammie has gotten into the Brah, lol
Speedy Tuesday came early!
How do you enter to win without spending money? All options require a monthly payment. Isn’t that against the rules?
Whose rules?
Im not sure if i should get this, honda cbr650r or yamaha r7 as a first bike
Try them all if you can and see which one you really like.
sounds like u might like the inline4 sound more cbr650 would be good cuz its comfortable.
R7
I don't think it clock out at 133, I test one at a dealership today, got 155mph ( I live in asia so probably the tune is different)
Hey Yammie. Do I get a chance to win even if I'm from overseas? Philippines, exactly.
2 Wheel Dyno Works tune absolutely transformed my 2023 MT-10. Huge fan of them.
I’m a member, how do I access the Discord Server?
So it’s basically as fast as my ninja 650
Hey if you could do like 10 under the posted construction zone limit that'd be great.
Sincerely,
A guy that delivers to construction sites
My EURO🇪🇺 ZX4RR has 80Hp since dealership. A huge from SPAIN 🇪🇸
Lovely thing you did here.. keep up..
has anyone dynoed one with full exaust and a flash with no cats?
