Evanescence is an amazing band to discover, they are an alternative hard rock with a lot of influences on metal, gothic, clasical orchestra and some industrial/trihop style of electronic programming, all mixed together. They quite own their style of music even when having other bands similar to them, for a lot of people it has always been hard to put them on either Numetal, Hard rock or Symphonic metal, in a sense they own a bit of those 3 with the other influences mentioned. But they themselves describe their music as hard rock, Amy Lee is the name of the singer, harpist, pianist and main composer, lyric songwritter for Evanecence. She created the band among the first guitarrist Ben Moody in 1995, Ben left in 2003 the same year of their debut album Fallen which sold 17 million copies worldwide and put them on top of the list all over. Their first 4 singles made them become legends on music of 00's, you just started with the first song off their first album, next you should do "Bring Me To Life", which tecnically was their first single and massive succesful one, the song made them won 2 Grammys in 2004 and among all the other 3 singles being also #1 songs when they were released and breaking every chart on every country with them.... She sings ballads and hard rock. So many songs (and videos) to choose from. If you want to continue on with that first album, there's "Everybody's Fool", "My Immortal", and "Bring Me to Life". All three have videos. They got better each album in my opinion.
