Billie & her brother were asked to write this for Bond, she was 17 & Finneas was 21, they wrote it while travelling, because Billie was on tour, they went on to win their first Oscar x
Billies first Oscar winning Movie Song. The second was for "What Was I Made For?" Barbie Movie Song. 2 Oscars and she is only 23 years old. Incredible.
you guys have to watch the brit awards performance of this song. PLEASE! the recorded version is amazing but this specific live version is unbelievable. i love your reactions to her, i always watch them immediately. i think you’d really enjoy seeing her sing live. the brit awards performance of this song is a must and so is her stephen colbert performance of the greatest!
Allow me to be the ten-millionth person to demand that you check out (in your own time, of course!) the live performance of this at the Brit Awards with the legendary Hans Zimmer conducting a near-full orchestra, Finneas tinkling the ivories, and Johnny Marr of The Smiths playing wibbly-wobbly James Bond surf-espionage guitar. Billie was only 17/18 and it is perfection.
The orchestra doesn't play live actually, but Billie and Finneas do. I saw an analysis where the Frequencies of Billie were matched to the album version, and the orchestra is from tape, 100% match., Billie is very close, but better.
THE hanz zimmer helped construct this as well. It was mainly Billie and Finneas but the live version with a full orchestra and hanz directing it... and billie's vocals...ugh beautiful. Not a bond fan but I AM billie fan lmfao
They won their first Oscar with this song, and when they won the next one with the Barbie song, they were the youngest people with two Oscars. What an incredible duo 👏🏻🎉 thanks for reacting ❤
That bond chord at the end was played by Johnny Marr of the Smiths. Hard to imagine that chord was originally created by John Barry and Monty Norman over 60 years ago. It's amazing how Billie and Finneas incorporated the old chord into a brand new song.
Queue the “you should watch the live performance of this at the Brit Awards “ comments & adding to the list Performed with Hans Zimmer & Johnny Marr of the Smiths. It was an amazing performance
Billie and Finneas where given an early viewing of the film for the writing. She also won Apples artist of the year for a second time. The two did a few songs in the small setting and It was EXCELLENT!
Her and Finneasreally enjoy doing music, writing for movies. And Hans Zimmer was a part of fitting it into the score. You really have to give Finneas a lot of credit on this one. Dude is SUCH a talented producer…and don’t forget, like 27 yrs old.
You guys should react to billie doing the same interview with 1 year apart for vanity fair, this year is year 8 of them doing it. You should watch the first one
I love her voice. She can go so soft and pretty fucking hard when she wants to. An older one I liked was tough guy. Always so different from the last one.
OMG…. The skull cup!!! ERIC! I LOVE IT! Also: tidbit: fin and Billie always imagined doing a song for Bond, and then they were contacted and asked if they could try to create one….
No time to die is one of my top favs from Billie, its just so good🫶🏼 i love that vibe to it, i remember listening to it the day it came out while i was on the bus going to dad’s.. ❤️
Yess I've been waiting for you guys to react to this one! I always have goosebumbs throughout the entire thing, defenitely one of my favorite Billie songs!! And thanks for another great reaction, you guys always have something nice to say about all the songs you react to and I appreciate that alot!
So wild the bond movie didnt get much attention but then again it came during the height of the pandemic/lockdown and the title of the song just hit differently.
PLEASE 🙏 react to the live Brit Awards full orchestra (Hans Simmer) johnny Mar on Guitar, Finneas on Grand piano Billie brings it to a whole nother level !
You can see this is a few years back cos she still has the green roots. It was the first time she ever belted in a song, and she was afraid she'd get trolled for it. Like several others say, you should also check out the live performance at the Brit Awards, with Hans Zimmer conducting the orchestra and JOhnny Marr on guitar.
You guys totally need to react to some of Ashnikkos songs! She's got a wide variety and even a whole bunch of Halloween ones! She's honestly one of my top favorites along with Ren!! Top songs would be slumber party, panic attacks in paradise, weedkiller, stupid boy and special!
This song was a great addition to James Bond films. Love it!!! Radiohead had a song that almost made it to the 2015 movie, but they chose a Sam Smith song instead, due to some unfortunate circumstances. Spectre would’ve been an amazing addition to the 007 universe as well.
btw. at next, the beautyful underrated sond "Getting Older" and also underrated and great song "Overheated" from her Album "Happier than Ever". And "watch" ´from "dont smile at me" is awesome too.
you guys should really watch some live performences of billie, they are truly amazing. and also this was actually the first song that billie was able to belt, she was never really able to before and she was really proud of it. she also won an oscar for this as well. she and her brother are truly so amazing.
First! I Love Billie reactions and I was thinking that I would love if you guys could react to a The Warning song, maybe Dust to Dust, MONEY or Queen of the murder scene, or any other the warning song, love your videos!
You have to watch the Music of James Bond to see some of the backstory of the song, the Apple special show on her, Plus watch the movie, it will tie everything together.
could you react to ‘without you’ by lapalux?? it’s one of the best songs in this world. i’m sure it’s so unknown and i’d love for people to get to know this masterpiece!! Great video btw! love billie reactions.
With Billie being one of the very few artists that can make me cry, i was wondering if youvguys have ever listened to Bishop Briggs? She has some songs that get me too. Her song Water gets me. Maybe you guys could check her out. Suggested songs, Dream, Wild Horses, White Flag, River, Water. If you want. Keep on keepin on guys. 😏
Billie & her brother were asked to write this for Bond, she was 17 & Finneas was 21, they wrote it while travelling, because Billie was on tour, they went on to win their first Oscar x

That bond chord at the end was played by Johnny Marr of the Smiths. Hard to imagine that chord was originally created by John Barry and Monty Norman over 60 years ago. It's amazing how Billie and Finneas incorporated the old chord into a brand new song.
She absolutely kills this song live. Full head to toe chills first time I'd seen it.
