I just gotta say, the content and the editing are both 5 stars in my book. Your channel is hands down the most endutaining one on the interwebs. Your wit and charm and vidja quality are the cat's meow! Sorry to hear from your face space page about all the lost content from the inferior quality digicals, dang! Most of all, the almost complete lack of profanity in an age where even the f word is commonly used is so appreciated. My wife and I absolutely love what you and Jessica and the boys, and even the occasional guest appearance of Brother Krang produce. It seems to be bringing you at least some level of properity. You deserve it. I hope the work is worth the reward. We wait with baited breath for each new vidja.

If it was mine, I would concentrate on 2 areas: Spend some time underneath and replace bushings, seals, etc. Then when your confident there is no issues there, move to the interior a bit. Pull the seat, repair/replace wiring as needed, new floor mat, new seat or cover, general cleanup. Paint and exterior can wait, that is just cosmetic for the most part.

Hey Derek! So glad to see Bentley going for a drive with you. Back when I was his age, shoot, all of my childhood and teens, I went with my dad every chance I could. My dad worked a lot. Never saw him through the week. He worked in a steel mill 3pm-11pm and worked for a contractor trimming houses 6am-2pm. Saturdays he built decks for people. So Sundays were really the only day I got to see my dad except for Saturday evenings and when I was old enough, I went with my dad to help him build decks. More like be in the way. HAHA. Lost my dad to cancer in 2017. What I wouldn't give for one more ride with him. The Harley in my picture was his. He bought it brand new. 2005 night train. It's mine now. My mom gave it to me for as my dad and I used to ride together.

Nice to see the camera focus is “right on” in the new shop. The one thing that always bugged me in the old shop….camera focused on the background and not on Derek. My vote is to give the truck a nice bath, makes working on it so much more fun.

I’m an old GM guy, but, nothing compares to these old fords with the ride and the reliability of those old 300 straight sixes. I’ve had a lot of Chevy and GMC pickups, with a couple of Dodges for flavor, but my 77 F150 and 84 F150 are still favorites of mine. Just nice, simple, honest pickups that are a blast to drive and enjoy. Thank you for all your videos, always looking forward to your next rescue!

@Mike Hoskins totally agree, the comedy gets repetitive and predictable after a couple episodes, to the point I wish he'd drop the character totally as he's still interesting to listen to when being serious - but damn it's great watching the work and skills on show here.

I like where a feller is going with this build. I would want to keep it a worker, daily drive able. Maybe a little internal refresh on the old 6. Maybe some light upgrades that will make her a tickle more peppy. Since you're aiming the finished product to potentially be a first vehicle for an offspring, a guy can't go too crazy with big blocks, sushi slicers, or laughing gas, but maybe a mild cam or better ability to inhale and exhale the go juice. I'm excited to see where you go with it and I respect your idea to make it where the average feller can put one like it on the street and head to town in it.

Brings back a lot of memories for me. I was two years old when my dad purchased a 1978 Ford 250. Big old 460 automatic. Spend a ton of years inside that truck on every adventure you can think of. Two tone metallic green supercab.

Really enjoyed this video on the old Ford. Reminds me of the time when we were teenagers working on our first vehicles. Getting it running good first, then interior and clean up exterior. No body or paint work, no money in the budget for that. Glad you're keeping looking like a survivor. Does not matter which direction you take first, just happy you are inspiring a new generation of young people.

This video has a slightly different flavor than the usual and it is very good! It’s really good to see progress on a simple vehicle and as usual you do a bang up job of explaining the reasoning and method for what you are doing! Amazes me on how you absolutely convince me in every video to pick up and save on another old vehicle by just showing love to the poor old rigs. I love the content and keep on reasonably rejuvenating on this truck! Keep cleaning up the parts that eyes can easily see !
