perhaps table 64 test voltage column should say 250v for Extra low voltage, 500 or 250v elv to 500v and 1000v for above 500v. because the minimum 0.5 meg is for ELV not low voltage

Hi John another useful video thank you very much! I agree with you regarding the RCD checks, I think possibly the reason they've changed it to make it less thorough is in a bid to keep people focused,,,
When RCDs were all that we really had to focus on for additional protection it seemed right that we should understand them,,, perhaps it was felt that there are a number of devices these days which offer additional protection SPD's etc... and if all those additional devices each required such thorough ( tests/recordings ), Perhaps corners would be cut and charlatanism's would start affecting the works negatively whereas if all you are asked to do are summary versions then perhaps people are more likely to stick to it rather than skip it or fake it,,,

Yes, all of it.
BS7671 applies, it doesn't make any difference where the installation is supplied from.
