  • In this episode I continue riding north through Baja California. The dirt roads here are absolutely fantastic, but finding fuel is a little more unconventional.. Loving these 'petrol stations'!

@@glengamble526 She does it all, except that she has help with the store and website. Notice she usually stops by early afternoon each day, so she has several hours to edit. And every few days she stays two days somewhere to catch up. For an experienced editor with a good editing program one of these videos probably takes about two hours, not counting finding the music. And of course she needs time to plan. She has had miraculously few problems with her motorcycle, governments, cameras, and so on.

Hi Noraly, I am so glad you stopped in San Ignacio It is one of my favorite stops on the way going both South and North in the Baja. The church there is quite old and the town square a pleasant respite from the heat if you are traveling in the Summer time. To me, the Baja is all that's left of old Mexico for many reasons. At least my favorite part having grown up in Southern California because it is the same kind of desert, and Loretto is my favorite town on the Gulf of Mexico side. The population density seems somehow perfect for human habitation. As you will be passing into the US and into California very soon you may want to take a bit of a break before hitting the frenzy of California. This is just a tip from one old man who grew up in a California from when it still had Spanish Land Grants, and no frenzy. You have so much personal endurance about you that you may not need it but if you are getting a bit tired and need some rest San Ignacio or Loretto are some of your last places where the social and natural environments will combine to give you a genuine rest stop. Cheers, Glen Miles

@@RRr-yl8zr Sorry, nope There are networks of like 4 different kind of roads. Like in her previous video, going to Loreto. I she has taken the paved highways, she would had enjoyed magnificent views of just wonderful sites created by Sierra La Giganta and the Mar de Cortes. In a way I am glad that she avoids the really wonderful places and rides through the dirt roads.

Hello Noraly! I’m from El Salvador and since I stumbled on one of your RUclips videos, I cannot stop myself from following you all around the globe. Amazing views of remote places which I have not imagined existed. But above all, I admire your courage and perseverance through all the perilous and dangerous places you’ve been and brought us with you! Thank you so much. Hope you accomplish your purpose of getting to Alaska soon and safe travels👍👍🙏👋

I absolutely love your videos. I am a pilot here in the beautiful state of Alaska and everyday I download more and more watching your journey while in cruise flight.
I hate you missed the bay of conception and the town of Mulege. You would have absolutely loved it and some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. At least you got to enjoy the beautiful Baja!! We currently live in Alaska but strongly considering moving to La Paz next year.
If you need anything here in Alaska my wife and I both will help anyway. She is a flight attendant for a small Alaska regional airline and I am pilot for a cargo company. We both fly over the amazing state everyday.
Thanks for Inspiring us! You do an amazing job with your videos and editing .

You see My bike has been collecting dust in the garage since Late October 2021 until recently...I've been through quite the fight with a bug that has pretty much pissed everyone off. I am Still far from what I was before, but I'm still fighting. Your videos have given me the determination and motivation to get out there and start picking up where I left off. What an amazing episode. Baja has some beautiful deserts. Then those odd dark sided, flat top cliffs. I was hoping Noraly the geologist would explain those. And then the salt flats.

The flat topped mesas or buttes appear to be the remains of area basaltic lava flows over the local bedrock. The lava is harder than the underlying rock and so it chips off at the edges leaving sharp cliffs. Baja California is being ripped away from the rest of North America by the San Andrea's Fault. This causes numerous volcanic features throughout B.C.

When you get to the US, watch the stop signs. Especially in the smaller towns. When you coast through them without stopping, you may get stopped.
Thanks for the geography education. I am learning a lot about Mexico that I never knew existed. It’s a shame that there is so much crime in some areas. That stops a lot of people from traveling to Mexico and hurts their local economy.

@@freeheelsak You are right, there are places in the US to avoid and I don’t go there either. My comment is directed to the parts of Mexico that have been on the videos. Mexico’s tourism is focused on the cruise ship areas, Baja and just over the borders of Mexico/US.
