Chaos at Mauritania - Senegal land border |S7 - E25|

  • In this episode, I am doing a monster ride from Tidjikja in Mauritania all the way to Saint Louis in Senegal. 700 kilometers AND a border crossing! The reason for this crazy day is that I barely have any cash left and there are no ATMs in this part of Mauritania, and on top of that, once in Senegal I only get 48 hours to have my motorcycle papers stamped in Dakar. So... prepare for a monster day..

It's so annoying when I was there the amount of PR spin everyone would tell me- it's like bro, I didn't even say anything yet, I'm already IN your country, and you're trying to sell me on your country. Like, WHY? The fact is, it's an EXTREMELY economically unequal society, where adults send their kids to beg on the street (a common sight), and the wealthy and elite live it up on the "other side of town." Instead of forcing a narrative, why don't you work towards a better society for all? Stop being blind to social and economic injustices. Doesn't it BOTHER YOU?

Another brilliant episode. Kindness from everyone you meet . The man buying you bread, the man leading you through the crowded streets. Can't wait for the next episode. The tantalising bit of Alaska on another small boat looks to be another great video. Ride safe Norlay

It never ceases to amaze us that you find and are able to show us beautiful people, no matter where you are. It is also a lesson for all of us that people are people are the same no matter where they are. We all inhabit this small sphere and need to acknowledge that we are all in this great experience together. Too bad that the ones who need to hear and learn this will never see this. Keep up the beautiful journey and be safe, We love you Noraly. 💙

Hahaha ! Loved ur expressions while pronouncing some tough foreign words … bless you. One thing for sure , along the way Noraly is going to turn into a linguist par excellence. In this episode , we watch you ride into wilderness through very rural area of Mauritania. There are hardly any modern shops or stores or Gas stations for that matter. But nothing seems to deter you Noraly which highlights your perseverance. Local folks are simply very sweet and kindhearted. They take pride in helping out the visitors it seems. God bless them. The border town seems really chaotic unlike what Noraly thought it wud be. And Noraly , you ended this episode at a very crucial juncture - tricky border crossing . Naughty you … we were readying ourselves for “ Welcome to Senegal “ exclamation. Anyways, good luck to you Itchy Boots , hope this crossing is hassle free.

Lol Noraly. The road to the border is hillarious. Different kind of jungle. 😂 the man buying bread for you was really so sweet. And the man at the market kicked the can out of the way and moving people aside for you.😅
