- In Mauritania, the Harmattan blows, a dry, dusty wind that sweeps across the desert regions until it bury crops and villages; Sid Ahmed and Mohamed supply these landlocked areas; they are among the only ones to venture there.

Teenagers all over the Western World need to see these documentaries so that they can understand just how good or bad their actual realities are. It would make them better human beings.
And don't forget India! People have become so snobbish and thankless because of 💰. That's the huge middle and upper middle class the nation has. Millions have been lifted from poverty and their kids don't appreciate as well. Those are the lower middle class. Must have some respect and knowledge of the fact, they're lucky!
And these entitled will be speaking about their rights and 'not their business' matters. SAD but true 😢

Thanks for the inventors of the internet and RUclips for making the world so small.
Saya dari indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩saya selalu melihat documentary ini,Ini sungguh mahakarya yang luar biasa
ONE of the most touching documentaries I've ever watched! After watching this documentary I realized how much we take things for granted and how much we don't appreciate the life that we have! My prayer is that one day God blesses me and I'll be able to travel to that desert and help whenever I can 😭😭😭😭
i live in mauritania and we live every day thank god . what makes us patient is our faith in our lord
May ALLAH guide your soul to the light..
Me to, so sad to see these people in this state.what did french do there beside's stealing.

Y'all don't realize how crucial the Deadliest Journey's series is to my survival as a human. Turn the lights down, heat up the dab up, and admire the human innovation to overcome all these obstacles they deal with day to day.
This series is just so eye opening to how things really are in the world.
heat up the dab what a prick
They should be dabbing warriors
Adapt and Overcome because Survival is the Best Revenge!
easy there big fella
Dab up like in smoking wax ??
i traveled North from the Congo to Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Mali, Senegal then into Mauritania on an overland expedition back in 1998, we followed the coast up through Western Sahara into Morocco. The desert was as harsh then as it is now by all appearances, Africa is a magical continent.
It is in did
wow and you did not die. That is good. The richest continent! I love it so much
Fantastic...i would love to travel like that...!
Man i appreciate people like you taking time to tell their stories in comments, thank you for sharing with us bro...

That tea is called Attaya, which is widely drunk in Gambia and Senegal as well. It can be drunk anytime of day or night. It is normally brewed 3 times and the first brew is always bitter. 3 brew is much sweeter.
I don't think anyone watching this video would not come to have a greater appreciation of the life which they have been blessed with. I simply can't imagine how it is that these people continue to live in good faith that at some point in the future there life will change for the better. Awsome production. We have it good, no matter what.
I agree but it does seem the powers that be are doing quit well compared to many on this channel.
Its faith of Islam
We have it too good. from U.S.A. 😊
i can't agree more than you each country's people should be shown this documentary so that they can teach their children that life can be survived with some means only.
Allahuakhbar...sedih tgk kesusahan mereka..tapi dlm masa yg sama saya kagum dgn kegigihan mereka..walaupun hidup susah tapi masih mampu tersenyum dan bersyukur..semoga Allah memberi mereka semua rezeki yg melimpah ruah..amiin

I really enjoy and learn different things by just watching these deadliest road documentaries. It depicts the struggles of different people around the globe. Thank you for posting the Mauritania one. I have always been fascinated by this beloved country. Much love from Somalia.
Me too...and I'm actually on my second stint watching them all
I am one of the last stamp collectors left I believe. These documentaries replaces the knowledge you used to get by researching the countries whose stamps you collect. I am trying to get a complete set of Tunisia. I love that part of Africa. I worked in Nigeria and I can vouch that people have a misconception about most other people in the world. One cannot overestimate the value of these documentaries in fostering understanding and tolerance.
Not even wild animals or reptiles or birds - at least none seen in this video. All in all, nice job, great photojournalism. thanks!
This kind of work make me appreciate life in the western part of the world🚫🧢
The last part, the lady breaking salts to feed her 9 children really touched me... She works from 7am to 5pm on that sun... I am grateful with what i have...
she shouldn't have any kids to begin with
Ill bet she isnt obese.
Really me too...I am also grateful for what I have ...here in India
Yes, all these western people who are feeling sorry for themselves and constantly complaining should go live in the 3rd world for a few months. I've been to India and saw serious poverty there and saw most of the poor people content, friendly and humble. That changed my life. It's so important to be grateful in life, it brings contentment and peace of mind.🙏 Hari Om
All that iron ore and other ship loads of minerals leaving Africa are a gift to the world, I guess.
A wonderful program, a simple life with happy people. This is my beloved country, Mauritania. You had to show the bright side. There are beach towns and other beautiful spring towns
На это без слез не взглянешь.
My gosh I can't even imagine surviving in these harsh conditions may God bless these people am so grateful for the way I live i feel stupid that I complain about silly things, God forgive me.
We used to load iron ore in Noudhibou for Antwerp about 100,000 Tonnes in the late eighties . If there is something called hell this was it. Iron ore dust used to permeate into everything and every where. It used to take 2 days to load and by the time loading was over there was nearly 2 feet of iron ore dust on deck. One had to cover himself completely as due to strong winds you would be covered in no time. You have to spend half an hour in the shower to get rid of iron ore specks and your face would bleed as they would scratch your face as sharp tiny edges would be there in the particles. There was one Viatnemese pilot only to berth and unberth vessels and no sign of people elsewhere. Took nealry 2 days to wash the ship down/.
the brothers praying made me cry, how beautiful. may alah ease their pain.sid you are a beautiful person
This documentary should be mandatory viewing for everyone in the USA. I have done much work in my 94 years, physically and mentally, and consider my life a paradise experience after watching this.
Sahara is really fascinating to watch in the picture and in the video. I salute to the resilience of the people living in the desert, the place to some like us taught it's hard to survive, yet there they are. With the skill of the drivers too showing toughness.

When do you think God will get around to start the blessings... I think he's far far behind
Man these shows are so addicting I need another dose 🤣 From Guam, USA 🇺🇸
Thank you so much. Life changing. I respect these people despite such harsh conditions, still earning a living. For example; my wife is complaining about living in hell, being married to me. Yet as pensioner 65, we are rich beyond measure. My career was uninterrupted for 45 years. I built all our houses (alone after hours, took me ~40 years). She is a qualified teacher, yet could never keep a job. Always spent her pension monies on furniture. Today we have no debt. Three cars, purchased cash (two which I registered in her name). Yet all the petrol, insurance, maintenance I'm taking care of. Not boasting but we have everything in abundance, including food and savings. Solar power. We are living in a huge double story house with 5 bedrooms as well as two extra properties being rented out. We are Christians, donating lots to the poor, yet my wife insists that she manages my pensioen money. Her lifestyle is her weekly pedicure, manicure and hairdressing visits and ladies tea parties. Always surrounding her with our rich ( but wonderful) friends, she hardly ever wash dishes or make the bed etc etc. (because of fear damaging her nails). She has a (wonderful) black lady to do house cleaning once a week. Herself totally lazy. Spoilt rotten comes to mind. I can't help to wonder about Jesus' teachings: "Those who were last shall be first". "Blessed are the poor, blessed are the meek, blessed are the sad ones.....etc, for they shall inherit the Kingdom of God" Love from Africa.
Приветствую.

Hermoso Documental..
That woman raising 8 daughters and a son!! Cant help but imagine with that kind of hard. if you give them 5 acres of fertile plains. God bless them.
I am from Tichit and nothing can describe i am to see something about it and fun fact i took this road few time on a back of a hilux and it’s just an amazing experience

Toyota makes amazing trucks. I am humbled by your story. Rugged living, wow
Wow! That train is impressive, the people working on it also! Big respect for all the people living in such a harse environment!
Very moving was the moment when the old desert man (nomad) received his goods and said prayers with the driver. The other moment, the train driver distributing the baguettes for the children ! Fantastic docu!!
Thank you for the documentaries, they are the best in the world. Through the documentaries I have toured the world but one thing has stood out for me, civilization is a failed process that has brought immense suffering to various parts in the world. Can't imagine that exporting iron ore for export would be a priority over transporting humans or crushing fish for pigs abroad would be better than feeding people
Welcome to "globalization". It's been going on for centuries, it was just called an another name, the "triangular commerce". Indeed this world complies more with Schopenhauer school of thought. I don't know if there ever was an "Earthly Paradise", but Earthly Hell has been here for quite a while.
Colonization is a process that has brought immense suffering to various parts in the world.
What an awesome adventurous video of freight train wavering through sand and surf. I could figure out the dialects of Arabic and French thanks to my stay in Ksar Chella, a town 400 k.m from Algeria.Algeria. I do appreciate the desert as I had visited a town near Ourgala, Ghardaya. By the way I did climb sand dunes and the edge of sand really made me feel good.

African Sahara desert adventures are a bliss Marhaba Mauritania 🇲🇷.
You all do a great job. My only nit pick is blaming current climate on global warming. I simply do not buy what politicians are trying to sell. Like trying to make me by a $60,000 electric car to help save emissions...when most cannot afford it, charging is a pain, has anyone really looked into the environmental cost of producing the new EVs and all of the thousands of batteries?
anyway. Great documentary as always and I appreciate the extreme work that goes into these. Thank you
Im forever grateful to God . People are indeed going through hardships🙏
Such a kind of tough journey,it's remind me of a journeys from loiyangani to isiolo through North Horr (chalbi desert),marsabit in Kenya.
I should never complain about anything. After watching this documentary I feel really sad for these people. It is killing them just to stay alive.
The abandoned goat carcass water jug kinda grossed me out, then I remembered back in the Hippie Days we carried our wine in a Bota Bag 🎒
Thank you for producing this documentary indeed it's one of the best
What immense suffering what everyone endures a piece of bread and water, I admire the people's fortitude and making the best out of the resources that they have. I wish African countries would band their resources and knowhow together. The Global Warming which is basically caused by the industrial nations is the biggest enemy of progress in countries like Mauritania.
There is no man made caused global warming. Do some research ! What ended the last Ice Age 12,000 years ago ? NOT MY FORD EXPLORER 🙄
All weather on Earth, from the surface of the planet out into space, begins with the Sun. Space weather and terrestrial weather (the weather we feel at the surface) are influenced by the small changes the Sun undergoes during its solar cycle. we currently in a grand solar cycle what comes around every 350-400 years.
AMEN 🙏
No you are not right. The whole desert Sahara is existing since million of years. If you don't know. People are looking for a better life, so they left the villages. And the sands are the winners.
Sahara has not existed “millions of years”. There are many factors that influence desserts, but it is man’s work that sped up the Sahara: livestock grazing and clearing brush & trees without replanting are the prime factors. Most desserts have buried civilizations at their heart.
What a pleasure to watch this! These desert people are geniuses of survival.
