  • In this episode I am visiting the Echelles de Lelouma - centuries old handmade staircases hugging the steep cliffs of Guinea. There is a fascinating history to these stairs and it baffles me that they are still being used until today...

Today I met a very petite lady with greying hair while standing in line at Popeyes for lunch. I noticed she had a slight accent, beautiful white teeth, a super friendly and very pleasant attitude/disposition, and asked her where she is from. She said Ghana. I mentioned that I'm watching Itchey Boots drive her moto thru West Africa and am so impressed with how friendly and helpful ALL the people there are to Noraly. She lit up like a sprarkler !! She offered me a coupon she had for a big discount on a meal, I accepted and then noticed she was very exacting on her purchase and counting her money very carefully. Then the cashier stepped away for a moment and I thought, "What would Noraly do??" When she returned I asked her to add the lady's ticket to mine. A friendly protest ensued but I prevailed and we were both very happy with the result.
THANK YOU Noraly for showing us the "best side" of people all over the world. THANK YOU, too, Noraly for inspiring one of the happiest moments I've had in a long time.
I would bet that this same type of happy encounter happens a thousand times a day everywhere, to a greater or lesser extent, due mainly to you showing all of us the other people in this world.

For those of you who don’t ride out there….what Noraly did today was insane! The ride would leave 90% of the men riding it begging for mercy….and she threw in a hike in boots and full gear! YOU GO GIRL!
Once again, great stuff with the interaction with the local people, taking the time to let them check you out. Also….I will say it again…Honda should be sponsoring you somehow. You are showcasing how good their bikes are.

I don't know if you get to read these. I am 75 and as my life is winding down, I am so impressed with you. You are living life with courage and to the fullest. I stopped riding dirt bikes back in1989. I crashed hard and snapped four ribs in half two inches from my spine. So I only ride street bikes now. I really enjoy watching your videos and know that you have so much to do to make them. The most important thing about them is you are showing the beauty of God's creation. The lands and the people. Most of us here in my small part of the world only get to see places when they are in the news. We only hear about a place when there is a war or a disaster. Your videos show the amassing way humanity lives. Even in places were it is so backwards without running water or electricity. Yet they have so much dignity. I hope you know Jesus because you are showing His creation in His light. everywhere the good and loving people. Well done. May God bless you and keep you safe.

In english? yes. In spanish there are two more guys, one of which, is also friend of Noraly. His channel is Charly Sinewan, 14 years traveling around the world. All his content is in Spanish, but he speaks English and travelled all around the US during some of those years
He is basically the same as Noraly but male version, they even have a couple of episodes together when they crossed paths in El Salvador (in Noraly's channel is season 6 episode 61 and 62). The only difference I see is that Charly tries to ride and meet the whole country while Noraly goes a lot faster. Charly started america in 2016 and stayed in the US close to 2 years, same in Mexico and in every single country he stays way too long, riding through small towns and meeting people and interviewing them.
The other guy is Agustín Ostos, his channel "Soy Tribu". 5 years on road and 18+ countries. He makes a ton of interviews of native American towns in his travels through south and central America, right now he is in Mexico.

Amazing to watch Noraly reach the edge of an extremely incredible adventure- literally. It seemed she was going to be the next kid climbing down the rope n vegetation ladder but thank god she desisted. Knowing one’s strengths and weaknesses is the most useful tool for survival in wilderness and Noraly definitely has it in her. No doubt it was a tough ride today and Noraly must’ve been thoroughly exhausted at the end of the day. It was greatly interesting to watch the vlog today just to find out where she wanted to reach finally. Good luck Itchy Boots, and thank you for taking us to almost inaccessible places. Ride Safe

    **Hi Noraly!!**
It has been a minute since I have last seen a video of yours, albeit I did know that you were "tackling" the continent of Africa on Alaska, Impressive, very impressive indeed!!!
When you started doing the racing thing, I thought to myself.., "damn... good for you Noraly, as I absolutely believe in, and love seeing a brave, strong and beautiful young woman like you, taking on a "mostly male, sporting event," such as over-country, motorcycle racing...
👏... well done, you!!! HOWEVER, and having said that, I now have started abandoning that thought... because in ALL SERIOUSNESS... I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR TRUE CALLING....., and that is, exploring the entire world on an Enduro motorcycle, while documenting, sharing, in its entirety, every physical, every emotional and every crazy-fun moment along the way!!! I am going to go out on a limb here, and state this... I do believe in your future, and your very own "NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC," travel show!!!!! NOWWWWW, THAT TRULY WOULD BE EXCITING, while ushering in New breath in the tired old concept of travelling/exploring television shows!!!! Because, NO ONE, AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, IS DOING IT AS WELL, AND WITH AS MUCH PASSION AS YOU ARE DOING IT!!!!!
ANYWAY, KEEP ON KEEPING ON SISTER EXPLORER!!!!!!!!!!😁
    PEACE!!!!!!!!!!✌🏼

Wow, here in India, in the western ghats we have many such paths. Some of them have been trade routes since centuries. Basically goods would come from other countries via ships and would get unloaded on the coast and from there traders would bring the goods inland.
Here in India, the central plain - also called Deccan plateau, is at 800m elevation and has western and eastern ranges on edges. The plateau is made of basalt rock and has fertile black soil.
And so is home to a bunch of cash crops like sugarcane, cotton, various lentils, millet etc. So a lot of that flowed to other countries via sea. And then the trade routes were very important.
Now-a-days these ghats make for spectacular twisties in any season and are favorite for all motorcycle riders.

Then I realised you speak enough languages to connect with the local people and they think you are great. I find it refreshing that they hold you and your bike with respect and don't thieve from you. That is truly uplifting.
And that ladder! Absolutely amazing. I vaguely remember something about it form my much younger years at school. My teacher was a man who wanted us to know everything and he showed us things from unusual parts of the world. But I have not heard of these ladders since. Epic to see them still in daily use 60yrs since I learned about them at school. And to hear they are 100s of years old is absolutely astonishing. I said to myself, those women walking with those long dresses on could not have come up those ladders. But apparently they did indeed come up those ladders only 30mins before! Just phenomenal.
