You know what I admire about Noraly? She's just doing all this for the love of travel and adventure. If you notice, she never asks for any donations, no Patreon, no Buy me a coffee...none if that to be found anywhere across her platforms. Thank you for sharing with us Noraly! Your editing and photography and especially your drone footage is exceptional. Not to mention your quality as a human being. We watch in awe!!
Edit: Of course I/we acknowledge she gets income from views and merch sales, but this is earned income. My point is she is not riding around with a tip jar hanging around her neck. This is her job and she does it well!

She does receive income from posting these videos. She also sells merch and has for pay video classes. You can find out what her income is online. This is her "job". Different parameters than most people but it is still how she makes a "living".

The little boy’s smile and wide eyes at the beginning of the video says it all. Even though his family may not have many material possessions, they are very lucky to live so close to nature in the Guatemalan mountains. I imagine much like their ancestors.

Once again, I am amazed by the beauty of the Central American highlands. Especially regarding Guatemala, my mental images are of cities controlled by ruthless gangs, urban poverty, and thousands of people regularly attempting to flee the danger northward to the U.S. That may indeed be happening, but the alternate view presented by Noraly shows another gentler, more peaceful, rural side of life there - and I'm very glad to see this.

FIRST... Stop listening to the media. The people "fleeing" are the people that have been tricked into false promises. Guatemala is a beautiful country and the ruthless gangs and all that you speak of does not happen. This is something the media and certain goverments want you to belive to justify their agenda. There is violence in Guatemala city but the same can be said about any large city in the world. During the Guatemalan conflict im sure it was a diffrent country but not now, I lived in Guatemala for 8 years and while there was police corruption it happens even in the US. Guatemala was a wonderful peaceful place and the people there were amazing. In fact it is one of the places my husband and I are concidering moving to when he retires in about 3 years. We livedn in a small house right outside of Antigua Guatemala and its where I met my best friend who was there teaching she is from France and lives in Guatemala full time now. We hated when my husband was sent back to the US but its part of the job.

One important thing to remember. The Ixil people had a very tough experience during the armed conflict in Guatemala. Naturally they are timid and quiet. They are very gentle and welcoming once you know them. I also imagine Feliciana is a very common name among them. Wonderful video!

I find it so sad that all I have heard about Guatemala is "how bad it is". This video made me cry because of how beautiful the nature is, how nice the people are, and how wonderful the culture is! I never knew!
This video was also put together like a book! We were shown the scenery, the roads, and the towns, and it all felt just as personal and warm as the inside of the homes.
The tale that was told was quirky, humorous, and fun the entire time!
And most of all I loved the people there!
Props to Noraly for making such amazing videos and being able to connect so well to the people she meets.
I couldn't keep the warmest of smiles off my face, really made my week great, and I cant stop thinking about it!
I wish I could have explained this more eloquently, this video deserves everything! ❤️

Interesting that they wrap their tamales with banana leaves instead of corn husks, as is the custom in most areas in Guatemala and Mexico. I wonder why that is? That's how we made our "hallacas" in Venezuela when I was growing up, wrapped in banana leaves and boiled. What a treasure to have this autoctonous experience, uncorrupted by tourism. When the rest of the world goes to pot, these people will continue to live and thrive as they always have, peacefully, living off their lands....

When I was growing up in Kansas, the major cities had paved roads and electrical power, there were stores and such. However on the farm Anything we got at a grocery store was called "store-bought". The farm we had no power, the roads were dirt, we had an outhouse, a well and cistern which we drew water from. The phone line was strung on local cut crooked tree timbers which did the job. Nowadays, the highway is paved, power is on sleek straight poles, but farm still has the well and the cistern. the community is now very tiny because farming is hard work and that's the only industry. As an engineer, I'm grateful for the modern advances but I have so many wonderful memories on the farm.

Might fall" 😂😂😄😄

Beautiful ride! I am so happy to see that the beautiful Ixil people have finally gotten roads, electricity, and cell service. Many of the new houses being built are financed by remittances from family members that are working very hard abroad (mostly in the US, I’d guess), changing the lives of many people for the better.
