It's a matter of acceptance..moste people always want more..more money,better jobs,more stuff-and so on - when a human figures out that he or she is satified whit what they got-life gets much easier..some people gets furious because they cant buy this or that,to show of social status - and others eventualy figure it out..you dont need all junk,it dosnt make you happy-accept life as it is,and you will be happy-if you r happy,then you also can be generous whithout having to feel that you r taken advantage of
Lady with a heart of gold. She has a story to share for years to come.
It had been almost always that way. They populate most of the surface of earth, share more part of what they have to support life, sometime write WELECOME at their doors, still some of us sadly say they are poor people.
While those have some wealth, always engage themselves in an internal argument of what is the gain, before any giving?
So what we created is commerce and "wealth" dictate how most of us live.
Do not be deceived they make good money..but they have a simple way of life

Most families in Mexico are like this always we share our meals cause it's a love signal and kindness and it doesn't matter if they are known people or strangers 🇲🇽

For me the highlight of this episode is the lady who was so generous, sharing the meal she had for her family, just for asking to eat and then not expecting any payment for it.They have very little by way of any wealth but the kind heart is there. Blessed are the poor.

I almost feel like Itchy Boots should be shown/taught in schools. There are SO many lessons to be learned from Noraly: patience, kindness, resilience, empathy, cheerfulness, preparedness, having an intrepid spirit, curiosity....I could go on. Just an amazing journey!
You'r right. And also real lessons and explanations about geography. But the best lessons are perhaps respect; for nature, culture, envoriment and people.
We have a friend that teaches 6th and 7th grade and her class watches every episode and the kids love it. And they follow her on a big map and talk about the places Noraly has been. The kids even make Noraly notebooks and have tests (just for fun).

Erizos = Sea Urchins (Uni), they catch them and then ship their catch to Japan.
She's not a food store, she shared their food with you, that's why she did not want to charge you for the food. Very nice lady indeed!

Ichy Boots, my mother was from Mexico, and she was super generous to all. She never liked to take money from anyone and always made meals to all friends of mine. All my Marine buddies loved eating my mom's homemade food. I grew up with a wonderful mom and awesome grandma, may they both RIP.

Hola, I’m in Australia, I can say the same of my mum and grandmother. I did a bus tour from San Fran Cisco many years ago called the Green Tortoise, I’m certain this place Noraly stopped at for lunch was our camping destination for 7 days.
I recall the bus ride on that narrow ride, I was terrified the bus may slip off the side, we were so close to edge, many of us held our breaths until we passed the most narrow section. That wonderful Mexican lady wasn’t kidding.. beautiful area and nice people in Mexico.

Met a young lady from minisota, she riding alone and on her way to Alaska, I asked her if she heard of Itchyboots. She replied, she’s the reason I’m doing this, Noraly, you inspired her to ride, on her BMW, I might add, she even had the same riding suit. So cool to see people doing this. Thanks for tour Noraly. @@mxh5647 I am 75, and have been riding duel sport bikes since 1966. I sold my Goldwing, but I still ride my XT600 and my TW200. I am starting to use my head now, this is a new thing with me, as I use to do some crazy stuff. When it gets sketchy now, especially when I am riding alone, I will turn around. I did not use to be that way. LOL I feel so good when I am out riding.
Itchy Boots has caused me to WANT to ride more. I want to thank her for that!!!!
I have a difficult time deciding whether you are a better motorcyclist, explorer/adventurer, videographer or ambassador of good will with all those you meet, as you are simply amazing no matter where you go and who you meet, and the best part is you share it all with us!! Having the exact same thoughts...I have concluded today that it is her beautiful spirit that takes her to places and people that the average person, well me for sure, would have just kept going, like when she pulled into that deserted "fishing village." However, she persisted and not only found herself much needed hydration, but a nice homemade lunch and perhaps best of all, another interesting conversation with a very kind and generous local woman. Another great day on the road for Itchy Boots and all those that enjoy following her adventures!
As a Mexican living in California i feel so proud of my people i got emotional when that lady offered you the food she cooked for her son and husband, there is some amazing people out there, by the way i’m from Ensenada, Noraly thank you for sharing all of this, blessings from San Francisco, Ca.

I’m glad you shown this fun fact Mexicans are genuine people I spent New Years 2016 with a family that I meet two days before New Years and they treated me like family .
I was on an Acapulco beach on Christmas Eve once and a family from Mexico City invited my girlfriend and myself to join them. They gave us food and beers and we played soccer and all hugged it out at the end of the day. Just one of MANY examples of the incredible hospitality of the Mexican people.
I've had the same experience with Hispanics in the US. Coworkers or friends have invited me over for holidays, birthdays, etc. and by the end of the evening I felt as if I had just acquired another family. Such a wonderful feeling!

Sometimes I also read some comments of people who hate her. but that's okay, everyone has their own perspective
People around the world are extremely nice.. It's the people in metropolitan areas like in big cities or developed area that run for hundreds of miles where you come across the negative vibe. I've been so many remote places in numerous countries and met, chatted, ate with nothing but kind people. I travel basically year round since I was given the gift of life in 2013.. served divorce papers.. before that I had only traveled on vacation 2 times in 30 years.. Now, I may be in Egypt and then Italy the following week. No one knows where I'm at till I call them.. what a life and what a gift.. cheers..
@@hectorraigosa7149 Not an absolute truth. As a rural New Englander visiting NYC, I have been blown away by the kindness of the city folks in the Big Apple.
I have asked for help, and several times, an observant New Yorker has asked me if I needed assistance finding something when I must have looked lost!

This reminds me of my rural area where I grow up in Zimbabwe, we give food,water and places to sleep to strangers , our culture doesn't allow anyone to leave a passerby continue his/her journey at night without offering shelter and food.Totally different from town life.

I'll admit, i allways been a little scared of Mexico abd South America. Noraly fixed that. I was worried for her going through Mexico myself but this lady gets along so well with everyone. And many just seem happy she's there.

@@444MarlinSS Noraly has to be vigilant with traffic in the USA. Unfortunately accidents due to recklessness are a fact. The shurastey or shuraigow canal came to a tragic end in Oregon. All dead at the end of the channel.
@@444MarlinSS There is no doubt that there is insecurity in Mexico, but both the countries and the media mainly talk about the bad and little or nothing about the good things in this country.
We have incredible landscapes, beaches, jungles, mountains, a lot of culture and above all the people are good and very helpful.

Well, I've done it -- I've watched ALL previous episodes starting from the very beginning to when my cousins told me about this channel, and now I'm 100% up-to-date. I'm a bit sad about that because now I only (only?) have the brand new ones to wait for and watch, but hey, there's no reason I can't re-watch some of the most amazing ones from before over again. Noraly, if you read this, thanks so much for sharing your adventures and showing us what can be done when you approach travel with a flexible, cheerful, humble, and curious attitude, not to mention an incredible amount of every-increasing skill. The fact that I was doing the exact same thing, I started with season 2 and today, I finally catched up now, I have to wait 😅.
Me too! Her previous seasons got me through finishing writing my PhD last year.
We have both done the same and arrived at the same point in time almost together. Quite a coincidence. I gave up motorcycles 8 years ago after a lifetime on them, riding every day, weekends and holidays. Watching all of this from Noraly's cam just brought it all flooding back, I am now awaiting delivery of a new bike. This is the best thing I have ever found on You Tube.
@@caseofpbr226 That idea is intriguing but what I am most inspired and motivated by is Noraly's attitude and energy, which can apply to any adventure on 2 feet, 2 wheels, 4 wheels, etc. Woohoo! :)

The lady who served Nora lunch was so heartwarming and Nora seems not only liked the food but also felt like at home
So glad you opted for Baja instead of the mainland. What an incredible, wild and uninhabited part of the continent! To a Canadian, the landscape and vegetation could be from another planet. And fresh fish and tortillas by the side of the ocean in a seasonal fishing camp. Off the scale, adventurewise!
When I drove the length of Mexico, there were parts in the north (not Baja) that made me think 'this could be Saskatchewan'.

In my trips to Mexico, I found the people to be extremely nice, humble, and honest! I believe most peoples of the world are similar...particular those not directly exposed to the rat-race.
I spent Christmas and new year there in 2019 and found the people to be very friendly
The further you get from civilisation the more civilised people become, I read that somewhere
Mostly they are, but on a few occasions i had them ask "are you from the USA?" before deciding to be nice to me or not. Off course that was in the middle of the tourist rat-race that is Cancun. Fortunately i am from Europe, so all was well :p

When you've seen the sometimes appalling behaviour of people on vacation towards their hosts you realise it makes sense for the hosts to enquire where the traveller is from in case there is a pattern and they need to adjust their generosity of spirit. I can't comment on Americans in Mexico as I have never been there but I like to visit the Canary Islands and have seen many nationalities (including my British compatriots) being obnoxious to the islanders. The respect and help one gets back from those island people when treating them as one would treat a sibling is precious.
Noraly is a great demonstrator of how to behave anywhere, certainly abroad. Look at the Love she spreads and receives, it's no accident.
After all these years we all know that Noraly likes her food wherever she is. We can only imagine some of the delights she eats from the most unusual places !

Yeah like this one time some tour guides on a boat made a meal from Leguan? They jumped down from the trees and they caught them and baked them on the boat! She said it tastes like chicken. I thought that was pretty wild
I drive past the place you stayed several times a week. I have seen their sign that says they they have rooms but didn't know what they looked like, until now.
Some of us call them the cheese people because their family owns a dairy farm in Ojos Negros. They make excellent cheese. Hope you got to try some.

The generosity of ordinary folks is always amazing.
Its a custom in the mexican remote parts no matter the riches the people will share what they have with a total stranger and take them as family.
I was riding my bike with my wife one day, and when I got off the freeway at a very remote exit, there was a young lady standing on the shoulder looking over the side. I stopped and found her husband trying to get their motorcycle back up on the road. When he went off the road, he had broken his handlebars in half. Neither one of them were hurt, and other than the broken handlebars, his motorcycle was fine. All 4 of us got his bike back up on the road, and I found out that they were from the coast about 100 miles away, and they had money for fuel, and not much else. I asked him if he could ride his bike with a broken handlebar, and he said that he could. I put his wife along with my wife on my bike and we went to my house that was about 15 miles away on secondary roads.
I welded his handle bars back together, and my wife made all of us dinner. I sent him on his way about 8:00 PM. They were very grateful, and I was happy to be able to get them on their way back home.
I, myself, have been helped out by perfect strangers, and I always try to "play it forward."

You mentioned a point, I totally agree that when it seems less to be shared like in remote areas, people are oftely more willing to share than in crowded areas or surrounded with plenitude - I'm not sure if this is a common behaviour / effect or no, but it had happened to me as well. Also giving gratittude in the best way you can will always bring the best of the experience - somehow we receive what we give, right?
I'm glad you made it throughout to San Felipe - that was a crazy distance by riding on dirt, jumping, sitting, rocking, sanding, standing... but also feeling a lot of energy on the road.
I must admit that I'm falling in love on a deepr level with Baja - thanks Noraly.

I'm on the verge of 75
One of my favorite things is how you find resources and hospitality in the farthest corners of your travels. This, for some reason, reminded me of how you miraculously found gas in 2 liter bottles during the rally from a place that had no services. In the middle of nowhere! I'm going to need to learn to be better at asking people - you are a pro at finding everything you need!
One time I was riding my dirt bike, and I was at a place that I needed to go back to the truck because of fuel. I stopped at a ranch house and asked a man working on an old cab-over Ford truck if I could talk him out of some fuel. He replied, "I don't know." I shut the bike off and walked over and asked him what was wrong with his truck. He said that all it would do is idle, it would not rev up. The engine was gasoline powered and had a governor. 20 years earlier I had worked at a logging camp, and I use to bypass the governor. I remembered that I had to vent one of the hoses that went to the base of the distributor. I had him take one line off of the distributor, and I had him start it up. Vroom vroom it went. He then told me to go to the tank marked "diesel," and fill my tank. He said that he never would have figured out what was wrong with his engine. I was able to ride 30 more miles before I had to turn around and go back to the truck. I went 250 miles on the old pony express trail that day on a 1986 Yamaha XT600 dirt bike.

@@antonioveritas The rancher had issues with low-lifes stealing his gasoline, so he labeled the tank Diesel. It would serve the thieves right to put diesel into their gasoline fueled engine's fuel tank. A few miles down the road it would start running quite badly.
When I was in high school many many years ago I worked for a Farmer in the summer. He had an old gasoline powered grain combine, and he had the gas tank mounted about 5 feet off the ground. Every once in a while when he would go to his combine in the morning, the fuel tank would be empty. One evening we drained all of the gasoline out and refilled the fuel tank with water. The next day, there was a car on the road with the hood up not far from the field. never had any problems with fuel theft after that. LOL
I already mentioned this on your channel. People from villages and the simplest are those who give things from the heart ❤❤

It seems the "ALTO" signs in Mexico are more of a suggestion than an order to stop! At least, that has been the case for me and, it seems, for Naraly too!

I have noticed that in all of her videos. Were it me, I would get a ticket, or worse!!!!
They are there to stop. In this video a white logistics van stops and let's Noraly pass, the same a black SUV. I think a lot of people and our lovely friend just roll thru them when they can see that nobody is coming.

I loved this episode, the filming was extrodinary! The turain changed on a dime, and Alaska never even sputtered! The remote fishing village with the lovely caring woman who fed you will probably never forget the brave and beautiful young lady who stopped for water! Sharing this kindness exhaults my faith in humanity. My week has started out perfectly! You have shed light on Mexico like I've never experienced. So excited you are almost to the USA. Glad you treated yourself to a lovely place to rest AND proper WiFi!!
i've been watching IBs travels for years and that's the first time she talked to a guy from the USA. pretty typical,friendly and well equipped with the family along. one of my favorite episodes was when Noraly is in the remote high andes and hasn't seen a soul forever and along comes a woman alone on a bicycle who looks 20 yr her elder and they start yakking and she says that she sees guys on motorcycles but they're in big groups on huge bikes with support vehicles to carry the other stuff and the broken bikes. i know which videos i'd rather watch.
Thank you for reminding me of that. She is a constant inspiration to get up and do something. And her interactions with people along the way are awesome.

I just took my first motorcycle safety course this last weekend and was assigned a new Honda CRF 300L due to my height (mostly Honda Rebels otherwise). It took a second to click and realize I was on Noraly's bike - or at least a relative of it! Made the experience even more enjoyable to live vicariously through you as I made mistake after mistake! Love your adventure and your videos!

@@ramishrambarran3998 Yeah, it's a CRF 300 Rally - has a bunch of upgrades from the 300L including the bigger gas tank, windshield, brake and suspension upgrades, etc. Thus, just a relative...(edit) - but super-fun and a great first bike to learn on.
I found you at the start of season 6 a few days ago. I am up to this point and have decided to go back and watch season 2 before finishing season 6. At 80 years old and can no longer ride I have truly enjoyed every minute of this wonderful voyage. Thank you so much.

Love that you are going through Baja. My husband has ran all those back roads of Baja racing and pre-running with a Trophy Trucks team. So I know how much you really loved that scenery and the ride is so amazing. We've stayed in San Felipe many times. Sweet little town. We have driven from Ensenada to Cabo/LaPaz many times for the Baja 1000. We watch you together and enjoying your travels! Your awesome!

Over the weekend I found Charly's El Mundo En Moto RUclips site and watched the meeting with Noraly in El Salvador and his assisting her in getting across the border with her " illegal" motorcycle. They were so good together, much laughing, felt comfortable with each other and seemed like they had known each other for years. I thought they would travel together a while longer. But, que sera sera; I loved that episode!
How did he help? Moral support and some mythical "friends" we never see. Better than nothing, I guess.
I too love the collabs. It's really interesting seeing the same trip from two separate perspectives.
Those two are a panic! Charley leaned on those El Salvadorans for Noraly so they couldn't try to confiscate her new 300 (Alaska).

If Noraly says it, then it WAS her best riding day-adventure. There are many recent rides that were spectacular, speciially in Guatemala and Belice. During the dirt trail ride I was singing to A Horde With No Name by America ( a classic 70s tune) to myself and dreaming awake of sitting in one of the hills in silent retrospection. Perfect setting for deep meditation! Thanks to Noraly many of us have an oppotunity to fly with the Wind. Blessing to everyone on this beautiful planet.

I've noticed lately that you've been blowing through a lot of Stop Signs. Better be careful doing that in the States...

You Have to stop at the stop sign in Mexico! It's normal for the locals to not stop, but gringos are just asking for a ticket.
Just remember in the US, put a foot on the ground at stop signs. It will save you lots of money and time.
Oh, so respectful of street signs in the USA. Everybody speeding on the freeway and people running stop signs everywhere, jaywalking, speeding in school zones. I see that everyday here in our law abiding US of A. You have to be law abiding everywhere.

I guess people in small places are nicer because they are more relaxed, not subjected to all the hectic life in big cities, the crowds, the noise, and the rat race that steals your peace and happiness...way less stressful environment.

Itchy I have to say that was a great ride your little bike is doing you proud every one thinks you to be riding a big bmw gs but yours is performing fantastic also if you drop it you can pick it up.All we hear about Mexico is drugs and trouble you are showing us the truth most people are good and helpful keep doing what you are doing showing us things most of us will never see, ride safe good look at the boarder 👍
