Absolutely beautiful scenery… kudos for all the efforts in filming looks like tons of behind the scenes efforts …great channel looks like the only traveling I will be doing these days … stay blessed
Pity you missed the Sierra de San Pedro Martir National Park. Not many people visit and the solitude is delightful with astonishing views. I amazed myself by spotting a California Condor. I guess you don’t miss the Canada while you are in the Baja.
Living in southern California for 61 years. Love travel in Mexico. That being said many bad encounters occur. Glad to see you were safe. God bless. my relatives drove to el Salvador yearly always carried mordida pay off money. Bad cops and bandits.
Dude! You missed out on the most amazing 200 kilometers of coastline!! The road to Las Animas is on that road! And all around San Rafael are cliffs full of fossils! The area is rich in native Cochimi culture, and is full of cave paintings!!
You were in my stomping grounds of the Imperial Valley. I should’ve reached out from when I saw your last video, I could’ve help out and put your rig on a lift. Good luck with the rest of your journey!!
This whole video was shot over the last few weeks. Yes I was freezing in the US too. Actually, the Pacific side of northern Baja had me in a sweater and jacket as well. Warm on the sea of Cortez minus the howling winds.
All I seen was that Friendly Manitoba plate and I Sub'd up straight away! Great videos! Did you import the Cruiser from Japan? [RHD] Watched 2 videos so far, one break down. [wheel bearing] Any other issues along the way? Cheers from [you guessed it] Friendly Manitoba! Stumpr1 BTW, we just had -40C windchill....ugh.
Thanks Stumpr! Yeah we had a bunch of mostly small stuff, birfield busted a small bearing. Radiator had a leak, new injection pump, blown two shock absorbers, bad battery, exhaust leak, general old truck stuff
100 questions....to ask. Vehicle, did u import to CDN? You a Pegger? Have a fantastic journey! Injection pump would be worst of these issues. Will Watch all videos posted up! @@goaloneTV
Great tour. Nice drone and camera work. Looking forward to doing the same. Could a Subaru AWD make it down these sandy backroads? Or I’ll sail down in my Blue-water tiny 20’ FLICKA
Hey man love the vids! Have watched all of them. Just wanted to throw a thought out there if you care at all. Your video quality is so good, that I think your mic quality takes away from it just a little. I know you’re just starting this channel, but I’m a big fan so far. I would recommend a nice portable condenser microphone like the Audia technica at2020. It’s an XLR mic that will require phantom power, but you could pair it with the shure X2U adapter which is super small and will get the job done. This setup will give you extremely good voiceovers. All together it’s $180 on Amazon, but will really take your videos to the next level. Like I said, love the channel and I will be watching regardless. Goodluck!
Hey I totally agree, getting a clean voiceover has been a battle. I'm using a rode wireless go 2 and while it usually sounds alright through the camera I find with the laptop recording software if gets a bit muddled. With that said, the voiceover on these videos is heavily processed. With this video especially I couldn't get a day without howling winds so I was hiding in my truck sweating to death trying to get a decent voice over done, probably around 3-5 takes for every decent recording I could use and then still have to filter out the winds noise in the back and try to account for everything rattling. Finding anything here, let alone a microphone is fairly difficult. Cost of imported goods in mexico is high and I'm having trouble finding what I need. I'll try and improve the sound quality as best as I can but I agree it's the limiting factor so far in many ways. Thanks for your support so far!
Hi, just found you, now binging...lol..love the videos... trying to follow along with my new national geographic. Waterproof maps.. im heading there in next 2 months for a solo female motorcycle travel, hopefully California to Argentina... love the drone footage and all the details ..thx.. stay safe! MotoCoco
I would love to teach you some Spanish and how to hold a fishing pole! Great videos and beware of Mexican senoritas looking for a handsome gringo to bring them to the US.
This is a great video but I really hope you change your tires sooner next time. Letting them get that bald is dangerous not just for you, but for other people driving near you.
Mexico’s mainland is very dangerous. I was there driving from California and I fear for my life a few times. “NO RECOMMENDED” you will get stop by heavily armed peoples. I was stopped in Sinaloa after I landed from the ferry and also in Puebla Mx. be safe
That you for sharing your great adventures. You're doing great no matter what is thrown at you. A question, does your vehicle burn the ULSD diesel? I would like to hit the Baja but have a modern 2021 diesel engine and have heard as you get further south the diesel is not the 15 ppm needed for the newer engines. Cheers and continued fun times.
Hmmmm well this rig is '94 and seems to run indifferently. I read mexico imports most diesel from the US and as such meets modern day requirements. If anything, the amount of modern RV's and Diesels trucks is some form of proof...
Nope it hasn't, despite the truck being fully submerged and hydrolocked in a river. Winched out and cranked water out with no glow plugs and it's been like new ever since. Did kill a window motor though
@@goaloneTV LOL, I wonder if it has been replaced or repaired before. I had my alternator go out and about a week after I replaced the Alt, the ecu shorted out causing no fuel. It is not a matter of "if" but when on these rigs. If you get any goofy electrical stuff related to engine or no fuel/no start its a good chance your ECU is crapped out. The capacitors leak due to age. ECU's for the KZJ's are NLA from Toyota and can sometimes be found used for alot of money. Rebuilding is an option hmu if it happens I can put you in touch with a rebuilder I used for mine. Enjoying the content, keep it up!
@@WranglermanLevi Yes sir I'm aware of these notorious ECU's crapping out, big thing on the forums it seems. I do wonder if it may be acting up sometimes just because there's a few odd gremlins but, we shall see. As long as it lasts the trip I'll be happy. And I had the alt rebuilt last year after frying it in mud.
That is in San Felipe on the sea of Cortez! You can drive all the way down the beach from any access point all the way south to where you see me parked. Few trails lead in there too, easy to see if you use satellite mode on google.
How do you handle the mess of doing suspension work on the road? Whenever I do suspension work, I end up a complete sweaty greasy mess and absolutely need a shower LOL
Once you live in car for a while the meaning of needing a shower changes a bit haha. And lots of paper towl. I mean to drive on sand 4x4 is sort of needed, most of the roads everywhere, including Baja, are either paved or just hard pack dirt that 2wd is fine for.
Please share the route 😊
Hey! Sorry for the late reply, I've made the route available in a KML file in the description. Thanks for watching!
Great 👍
Booo! No! Don't post the route. Keep it off the map.
Took my VW Vanagon from La Pirisima to the Sea of Cortez. West side to east side , the 40 mile trip took 8 hours . Unforgettable fun
Your editing is out of this world. And the music so sick. You deserve a like and subscribe
Baja California is beautiful!

I love the series! I’m hoping to road trip from Alberta to Baja California Sur this Winter!
Hey thanks man! Yeah Baja is definitely probably one of my favorites of the whole trip, actually kinda wanna go back already
BEST Baja vid I've ever seen...!

Thanks for the video. Looking like an excellent trip.

Just stumbled on your page for first time. We are leaving Sask and heading to Baja tomorrow. Are you staying in baja for a while?
Another great vid man👍 what was your preferred way to cook up those fish? Those beach campsites looked pretty epic!
Hey thanks man! They're not too big so mostly some pan frying, few over the fire and even made some ceviche
You Rock !!!
Thank you sir !
Bienvenido a México friendly Manitoba.
Is there any where to do something like this on the US side?
I have Toyo MTs on my Power Wagon. E load. Will never go back.
Wats up brother. Would you happen to know the location at minute 6:40? It would be awesome thanks brother

🖤
I would have 100% burned that driveshaft grabbing log!!!
Hahaha yeah in hindsight I should've strapped her to the roof
How can you legally fly a drone there ?
The weather, and the nature are exactly the same as usa california (since they are on the same territory)
Hi , visit India with your vehicle and explore ……….. it will be a different experience
I will if I can!
Para qué ir tan lejos, si México lo tiene todo.
Well done, appreciate you.
How do you handle the mess of doing suspension work on the road? Whenever I do suspension work, I end up a complete sweaty greasy mess and absolutely need a shower LOL

I would have got new tires in Mexico! Much cheaper!
