Thanks for the shout-out gents!! Completely agree on the value points and OF Rye. Whistlepigs stuff is so damn expensive compared to bottles that hit the same way. Cheers gents!

I know the one you tasted is standard release, but I have two barrel picks at cask strength and they are wonderful rye's that make the standard taste like trash. A few years back,I thought it was over-priced, now a days for this age statement it is actually on par price wise. If you can find a 10 store pick in the 90's price range, buy it all day long. Old forester is a great everyday rye, best pound for pound rye next to pikesville.

best whistle pig value comes with the store picks..they often come in the same 10 year bottle but are typically much older (they don't want to pay to update the label for each store of only 200 or so bottles). price for store picks in texas are around 85 and absolutely worth it in my opinion! great review, cheers

Side fact that the Jim Murray Whisky of the year is basically the same juice at 5 year cask strength, although very different profile. The WP Single barrel cask strength store picks are they way to go.
Being a rye fiend, I would score this much higher and for value, compare the price to Michter's 10 yr Rye.
ADL also supplies Masterson's 10 year Rye, Barrell Rye 13-14 year Canadian cask strength single barrels and Cooper Spirits (Hochstaders 16 year and Lock Stock & Barrel line).
Would that be a box of Cohiba Robusto's on the shelf behind you?

Great review fellas! I’ve had a Cask Strength store pick that was great for $80. Recently cracked a Knob Creek Cask strength batch 2 Rye at 127 proof that I am really enjoying for $70. It’s a barely legal rye so it’s hard to compare to WP. Cheers! 🥃👍🇺🇸

Nice shout out to the Bourbon Junkies! The Bourbon Guild was my first though. You guys set the standard on the panel reviews and bourbon reviews in general. Onto the whiskey... WP10 is delicious stuff, however, the barrel pick is stellar!! For me, the biggest difference is that it lacks the harsh edges with more flavor. Price point is on the higher end, probably should be closer to $60 for the normal 10. For comparison, Masterson's Canadian Rye is about $80 for 10YR 90 Proof and the WP10 destroys it easily.
I don't know if this has been asked, but where's the butcher of bakersfield?

Old Forester Rye is a hell of a value! Whistle Pig is tough to justify the price point, but it is very tasty. Great video, Cheers guys 🥃

I bought (2) small samples of this product, gave one away and saved the other, It mixed well with ice and soda and tasted fine when sipped in tiny doses.

The 100 proof Old Forester Rye AND Bourbon are EXCEPTIONAL values. They are my go to mixers for cocktails. I think that Whistle Pig shows more depth with the 10 year age. Whistle Pig should be producing ryes with their own juice soon.

Fair review, but I am not a fan of anything Whistlepig so far. The first time I tried their whiskey at a bourbon bar I sent it back and the bartenders said they weren't surprised. Its just MGP after all
