Loved watching this project. A beautiful way to use of doily and tea towel scraps! I love the way your book turned out and the fabric binding of the book covers. So lovey. Thank you so much for sharing and for Don making the video. BTW I love your glasses Cat! ❤️😘
Hi Julie! Glad you liked the book!! I am still working on it! Don says thank you! I love those antique glasses too.. found them in a thrift store and had my prescription fitted.. 😘♥️
This was fun to watch I have a bunch of antique Lace from late 1800’s that came from an estate sale of an old family Doctors house. I got it and did not know what I was going to do with it , this might be an adventure I have never been on. Thanks for the ideas!! ♥️. This would be new for me!
Cat and Don, so good to see you both again. Just loved this tranquil, slow stitched, beautiful little book! I really enjoyed how you hand stitched the binding. Much easier than dealing with lining it all up on the machine! And speaking for myself...who doesn't love wonky stitching and imperfections!? THIS gal is all about it, and on board! Thanks you kids, you both always do an amazing job together.
I love all the texture and interest of the tea dyed pieces of fabric. Can't wait to try out this type of fabric binding into a book. Hoorah for wonky stitches, so freeing.

Hi Cat, I’ve been working with paper for about a year and really intrigued with working with fabric and slow stitch. Your channel has helped me get started. Thank you and keep the videos coming.
Tactile projects are very healing for my anxiety so thanks for sharing this! Had to come back here and share how I used your ideas for my large journal. I had decoupaged the cover but wasnt happy with it, so I sewed a tea dyed table runner, making it into a book cover and placed it over the book and its dreamy.
It has been a real pleasure watching you today. I am just starting into slow stetching so I enjoyed listening and watching. Thank you so much for sharing. I am new to your channel, but I will be watching.
Love watching your videos over and over!!..I get so inspired❤️❤️..Now off to gather some vintage cloth bits in my stash and pick a cover to make this gorgeous journal..sooooo excited 🤗🤗🤗

❤ thanks to your tea dying video I have some wonderful dyed fabrics to work on a journal like this!! (Tip: I have had Lineco Book Binding glue work well with the older books)
I love this book! I have a small canvas book that I dyed with turmeric. I haven't been able to figure out what to do with it but now I know I'm going to be putting some other fabrics and lace in it. Thank you for this great idea.
Oh no!! Did not know you were in hospital! Hope you recover quickly, dearheart! Glad you are dying fabrics and stitching.. wonderful for healing, right?? 😘
Brilliant as usual. ❤️ Really love all your tea dyed pieces and that wonderful antique book cover. Soooo good to see you (and your cute hair do) and hear Don. Missed you bunches on here. Got two Momigami projects done, but keep forgetting to take photos to post. How are the remodeling projects coming along? You two take care. 😘❤️☕️🫖🤎
Awww 🥰 thank you Janice! So glad you liked the Momigami video! We are nowhere near done! But we keep plodding along!! Thanks for asking dearheart! 💋😘♥️
A super great idea for making a fabric paged book with a hard cover, never would have thought of this kind of hinge. I'm curious as to how gel medium caused the book page glued to it, I'm assuming, to fall off and in one piece? I have an antique book cover that had a plain book page glued to it. I've picked it off in bits and the rest is super stuck on. Do you think it would get soft and pliable if I put Goldens gel medium on those areas? The red marbled paper has gold streaks and is in excellent condition. I can't imagine why they covered it. The outer cover is also gorgeous. I really don't know what to do, so any suggestions are welcomed.
@@CaterinaGiglio hmmm.. water sounds dangerous. It would loosen the adhedive but it might destroy the original paper too. The bookboard looks really bad as it is now though. I'm between a rock and a hard place.
This book is "delicious", and so meditative just watching.
