It should be aluminum.? A heat gun or your wife’s hair dryer will work in a pinch. I’d say use a torch but most people will ruin the shroud doing that. Heat it till it gas’s off aka a poof of vapor coming from the shroud letting you know the lock tight has liquified. Then you can thread it loose. Thanks for your comment.
I wrote a comment somewhere! lol. That the part will blow off so it has to be glued on. I contacted the seller and let him know about the issue so he may have stopped making them. OK so you and I are on the same exact page in regards to what we are trying to accomplish. But, why did you seemingly cut your top shroud short? I have also have a CF tensioned shroud and I put a larger CF shroud over it.....but I wanted the end to be tucked under the top rail as far as possible, so that top piece is about 15" long.....in fact I am getting the MKII valve adjuster knob bc it is thinner so I can fit the top shroud even closer to the breech. It doesn't bother you seeing that 3d printed piece stick up past the top rail?
Ha very observant of you. I made a mistake while removing the rear uhm thingy. Ooof my brain is elsewhere today. Apologies. So I had to cut it shorter. I since fixed the length issue by using a 700mm shroud from a Maverick. Oh if we were in the same country I have several mk2 version dwell time adjustment knobs in my collection. @@FxFanBoy I appreciate the offer lol I just put an ad on AGN for that knob. Or maybe FX has one? I love the look of the CF, but bc I have to order them from China/Ebay I am so nervous cutting them down to size. Nothing is ever easy. I want/need one size for when I use my muzzle brake and other size for when I use my moderator (bc the muzzle brake has a thread converter 1/2 20 to 5/8 24) so that takes up space. Always a pain in the butt =)

Black Arts needs to make the Impact barrel band to fit the 700cc bottle.

How do you get the OEM plastic piece off the shroud? I tried to pry it out with no luck. Seems to be loctite. Thx!

That is a real nice fix for the shroud but the Ebay link isnt working anymore. Any advise on how to get the part?
