Built a similar design with the inlet screened and filters on each end. Mine lays flat and has a cap on the inlet side of the desiccant and a ball valve on the exit side. I measured inlet relative humidity of the inlet and compared it to exit humidity. It reduces moisture by approximately 40%. Moisture is now almost unnoticeable when the bleed valve is opened after a fill.
@@richardevans9530 that’s interesting. Your design completely defies logic and science. I tested the air from the bleed down on my design after filling a 130cf tank with test strips used in the medical field. And found no moisture. This zero moisture only lasts about 10months to a year and I have to replace the desiccant. But my average humidity in my area is only 41%. If I lived in an extreme humidity area I would do a two stage pre filter. None the less. Reducing moisture in coming to your compressor is saving some major wear and tear. I liken it to avoiding putting gas in a diesel engine. Neither compress very easily. Thanks for your comment.

How much did this full project cost I’d like to duplicate it and question is that only filtering air going into compressor what about the moisture in the air after it’s compressed
@@Alloutairguns difficult to answer because I had all but the clear pipe purchased on amazon I believe but it was over two years ago. Probably around $25.00. The moisture coming out is nearly nothing but I still recommend and I personally use a after filter the whole thing only needs service once a year in the area I live with average humidity being around 70% humidity. @@FxFanBoy where is the system open for air to come in bc the filter looks like it’s inside the rubber tube. But the tube goes all the way to the dessicate module if that where the air enters the system at where is the opening

I’m not sure I understand why you have to do this if you’re buying an expensive gun or a new liner. Why doesn’t the factory do this for you and then ship it to you?
Very good point. I wish they did. But it seems as though it makes a huge difference in all the testing I’ve been doing. Case in point up to date. I just received a Western airguns rattler 357. Four days of shooting and it has a major failure. Why would a rifle that costs 2700$ fail in four days of use? My answer is! They are just expensive tinker toys.
@@FxFanBoy : Personally, I would contact the manufacturer and tell them why did this happen on a $2700 Airgun? It’s kind of similar to these exotic cars that cost a lot of money, but when it comes to reliability they’re crap.

Hi there thank you for your comment. I believe you are referring to the moderator? Fx comes with a 1/2 unf thread from the factory. Donnyfl has a lot of different moderators that will thread on directly. Hopefully this helps.

Do you have a simple way you use to index your barrel?
How I do it is. Simple or not. Shoot at 40 to 50 yards or however close you need to be in order to keep it on the target. Using the same aim point. Index until you find tdc top dead center or the highest poi point of impact firing 3-5shots. Once you find the high point. Then turn the barrel 90degrees down. You will find that to be the best accuracy. Once you do that retune your rifle. Throw out all preconceived notions….. this or that is the best speed for accuracy blah blah blah. Let what you see in front of you be your guide. I always shoot the new tune for three days running with out altering it in any way before I except it as a tune I will continue to use. However barrel stabilization is the key to being able to shoot at what ever speed you want. Thanks for your comment 😎

I wrote a comment somewhere! lol. That the part will blow off so it has to be glued on. I contacted the seller and let him know about the issue so he may have stopped making them. If I were him I certainly would have. I do wish someone would take the time to make a better product. But I haven’t seen any. Sorry.! And thanks for your comment 😎
Hey, I have another question. If i install a 300 bar 700cc bottle on my M3 could i still do the delete or could i just raise my front reg to 250 bar?
Well it sounds like you’re asking two questions heading in different directions. Yes yes and yes! You can install the 700c 300 bar bottle with or without deleting the front reg. If! It hasn’t already gone bonkers on you? If you delete the front reg you are restricted to 250b fills. What everyone isn’t telling you is. Your already restricted to 250b fills with! It. If you’re trying to make a lot of power for shooting high grain slugs? You will have a lot easier time getting power with it causing a chugging effect between reg #1. There’s no plenum space between them just a micro bore hole through the receiver. This is what causes the degradation of power,,, rather or not the first reg is functioning or not. @FxFanBoy I've already set the front reg at 250 bar, but when my bottle comes tomorrow, I want to be able to fill it to 300 bar. So can I fill it to 300 bar with my front reg at 250 bar?
@@dougiefresh3767 yes. As long as you have the 300bar valve installed on the bottle. It’s safe. I’m okay with being wrong so hopefully I’m wrong. Your front reg will malfunction after filling it to 300bar several times. This is why I don’t recommend it.

OK so you and I are on the same exact page in regards to what we are trying to accomplish. But, why did you seemingly cut your top shroud short? I have also have a CF tensioned shroud and I put a larger CF shroud over it.....but I wanted the end to be tucked under the top rail as far as possible, so that top piece is about 15" long.....in fact I am getting the MKII valve adjuster knob bc it is thinner so I can fit the top shroud even closer to the breech. It doesn't bother you seeing that 3d printed piece stick up past the top rail?
Ha very observant of you. I made a mistake while removing the rear uhm thingy. Ooof my brain is elsewhere today. Apologies. So I had to cut it shorter. I since fixed the length issue by using a 700mm shroud from a Maverick. Oh if we were in the same country I have several mk2 version dwell time adjustment knobs in my collection. @@FxFanBoy I appreciate the offer lol I just put an ad on AGN for that knob. Or maybe FX has one? I love the look of the CF, but bc I have to order them from China/Ebay I am so nervous cutting them down to size. Nothing is ever easy. I want/need one size for when I use my muzzle brake and other size for when I use my moderator (bc the muzzle brake has a thread converter 1/2 20 to 5/8 24) so that takes up space. Always a pain in the butt =)

Are you running the factory regs or the Huma regs? Also, you said no dual bottles because you are trying to get some extra power, does dual bottles not allow a power increase because of too much pressure or should i ask will it decrease your speed using dual 700cc bottles? I'm curious because I just ordered a 700cc bottle and was thinking buying another to run double.
Ok I’m glad you asked this because I can understand why you would misunderstand how I stated that. Go for it buddy it can not decrease your power. However when you/I’m taking the rifle apart and putting it back together several times a week trying things for power and accuracy increases. Removing the dual bottle set up just takes a lot of extra time to remove and replace. I am running the stock regs on AirPig my mk2. With some tweaks. My m3’s are Also running single amp regulators instead of the new version that are brass and Slow! I tried the huma regs and didn’t care for them PERSONALLY! Or imho. So run with the dual 700cc it works and looks awesome 😎 just a piece of advice. Re o’ring the bottle nipple and the tiny o’ring on the set screw behind the bottle nipple before you do the conversion. @@FxFanBoy Thank you! I got my first Fx M3 about 2 weeks ago from SPAW and have had nothing but issues since I received it. They set my front reg at 195 bar and it's been all over the place. The rear reg stays the same but the front one goes past 200 and down to 175 bar where the rear reg is set. It's been all over the place so I'm trying to figure out if I should delete the front reg or try to rebuild it?

How do you get the OEM plastic piece off the shroud? I tried to pry it out with no luck. Seems to be loctite. Thx!
It should be aluminum.? A heat gun or your wife’s hair dryer will work in a pinch. I’d say use a torch but most people will ruin the shroud doing that. Heat it till it gas’s off aka a poof of vapor coming from the shroud letting you know the lock tight has liquified. Then you can thread it loose. Thanks for your comment.

Absolutely did. All four of my current Impacts no matter what liner I run. Are! Indexed! I find TDC<top dead center. Then I turn it from tdc to 6pm. So tdc is 12 I find noon then set it to 6pm. Hopefully that makes sense. Yes they shoot great at 12. But 6pm is best. Thanks for your comment.

Where did you find the shroud end caps that you screw on to add tension to shroud and barrel? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find them? Great vid!
eBay I posted a link in the description. Fyi you need to glue them in place. Or block the airflow with stacks of painters tape and screw it on after. I the 3D printed threads can’t handle 40-80fpe. They blow off. I need to post another video.

I did not tension my 800mm barrel with that many sections of painters tape. I did 1 in the middle, 1 on each end and then split the difference. I see where it could cause a wave effect on the barrel. I might just pull it tonight and add 4 more sections of tape. It can't hurt that's for sure!!

Yes it’s like night and day. I could definitely buy a new liner and show you that. But I don’t edit videos so it would be an extremely long! Video because the only way to honestly show results would be using the same rifle right? Thanks for your comment 😎

Hi thanks for your comment. I believe I was using nsa 31.2g slugs in this video. Roughly 82fpe. I’m using a tungsten hammer weight. I posted a link for eBay. But recently a barrel change has raised the bar to 35g slugs breaking the sound barrier!! Stay tuned haha

Ergo I use them on all four of my impacts. I have large hands the stock grips do not fill the palm. Not expensive imho and I’ve yet to see any wear. TMI? Ha have a great night 😎

I shoot the same 31.2 niesen slugs and they are accurate but with 165 bar reg power I am shooting them not more than 975 maximum . How did you acieve that kind of speed ?
Higher reg pressure. Hummer spring. Tungsten hammer. And too many other details to mention. Porting polishing. But I’m not sure what video you’re referring to. Or which mk. I have four. Thanks hopefully this helps.

Fantastic shooting. I’ve only had about 30 minutes to play with the tune and haven’t found it yet. I’m looking for 1010 fps and the dial it back as needed. Pellets were stacking on top of each other at 50 yards at 865 fps but it wasn’t enough speed for my slugs. What does your tune look like? Thanks
I’ll have to address that subject in some kind of video maybe in the future? I have more information I want to share. But as you know I don’t edit videos lmao 🤣 my tune on .30cal. I have been thinking of cutting a piece to put behind the stock shroud before the body of the impact.
I tried that. I still have the piece LoL. Imho it actually caused increased muzzle flip or poi shift. Especially when using heavy slug’s. That’s why I did this to all four of my impact’s. Sorry for the late reply. Have a great day.
What size do I order?
14mm check your od. It should be 13.95’ish. The 3k thickness is what you want. If you don’t own a set of calipers let me know I’ll get you exact specs.
