apparently the power gamey survivor meta is to drag a body bag behind a wooden barricade and then hide in it.
that way the ayyliums cant see you or the body bag. just hope that they don't patch it out somehow.
its already so damn hard to survive as it is
maybe if you lie down on top of a dead body, the dead body's skull icon will fool aliens into thinking youre the dead? but a lot of the dead bodies around some of the maps are predictably placed and it only takes a right click -> examine to ruin your ploy
problem with playing survivor is that the best fun ends after you're saved by the marines, then you just become a space hobo, bumming around the ship doing random stuff
My dude it does not need to be patched all it takes is for the aliens x-ray vision to point you out once they go behind a wall.
So far I've found hiding as a survivor pretty boring, so I usually rush the armory on roundstart and fight for my life/hole up. One round I teamed up with two other survivors and we ran around killing aliens and looking for weapons. We only managed to kill about three or so before the marines came down and we all walked into their turrets
I dunno ive managed to survive by following other survivors and hoping to god they know what their doing

When i been a queen, we took the whole prison map. Marines apperantly got cornered to LZ. Things went so well, that we had 7 bot larvae in nursery. So, since marines sitting pretty tight, i decided to slam them qith my creech. But some marines left with a smartgun, so we failed to take them all. And then they decided to attack, and got me pretty quick. After that, our giant hive got literaly pillaged. Second queen was a complete failure - died almoust immideatly.

those morale officers should really have gotten some positive electric morale improvement batons... those marines where sooo negative that a gentle or not so gentle baton massage would have raised their morale back to max! ^^,

i really love these colonial marines videos, they are so interesting even if the subject is so narrow of 'first contact'

Have you seen Stationeers? It's supposed to be a 3d adaptation of SS13's station mechanics.
Looks like another very early access alpha game shit . plus, the creator has a well known reputation of not finishing any project and launching new alpha games while having other alphas in dev ^^
Are you just referring to Dean Hall's DayZ or are there more games? I only know about him abandoning DayZ and I really can't blame him for that.
yes, but maybe i am a bit exaggerating with dayz and ion. I just can't resist getting salty toward very early alpha. I have seen that cycle so much so let me start a rant :
1.alpha with 100s of feature in the todo and a high price-
step 2.after a year or 2 of adding a few feature, they decide to lower the feature list planned, do some -80% on there game to grab a bit more 'til it dies -
step 3. games dies / suddenly goes to version 1 with 1/10th of the planned features.
As a business owner this just angers me a lot, if you are responsible toward your customers you must have a solid financial plan, manpower and be pragmatic , not just a dreamer, many alpha game creator just think there aren't responsible of there failure because low sales and such. Dev expect too much from the community to put there own money and take the risk themself, they don't seems to understand that as long as you launch a commercial game you are responsible of both the sucess and the failure of it.

you can tell he's a bald xeno when he doesn't rest on the weeds to recover plasma even faster than just standing on them-that and this is fucking ages ago and the aliens looked and probably played much more differently back then

Watching you play this game is painful. It seems to be a ton of preparation and then dying without killing anyone, every time. Do you ever manage to be effective or are these videos mostly the same thing?
Don't think of it as winning a game. Think of it as improv comedy while stuff happens around you.
