I got a talking-to at work because I kept responding to my boss's mass emails with "It is noted" and he thought I was mocking him. Which, to be fair, I was.

My dad (ex-Navy) once told me about a dipshit officer.
Every time this officer told my dad to do something stupid, my dad would respond with "aye-aye" and do it, because he'd been ordered to do so. Reperussions would fall back on that officer.
Fast forward to that officer's retirement party, this guy makes sure to mention my dad saying, and I quote; "Every time I've told him to do something, he just says 'Aye-aye' and gets it done."
My dad and his buddies managed to retain their military bearing, because they watched his long form joke come full-circle. The officer never figured it out.

i want to get into space station 13 but there just seems so much that i feel like i would be overwhelmed.
For the case you didn't already try it (wtf is wrong with you?). There are jobs that requires few knowledge and servers like Paradise are relaxing and slow paced. So perfect for familiarizing with the UI and basic. You really don't need to know everything. Start as assistant, read the basic to play, hop in, have some roleplay. If you think you get the hang of it, go for a job.

some time ago admins spawned like a squad of mercs for help the murrines on prison map, there was like 6-8 of them. Turrets fucked them up more than the xenos, most of them died before they saw any aliens. I have no idea why admins dont spawn you guys with ID cards, just so you wouldnt get killed on the spot
Slow start, but my god this did not disappoint. A tale of three heroic mercenaries known across the galaxy for their medalworthy skill in combat and amazing possum-like ability of playing dead struggling to fight weighed down by the incompetence of the lying Marine Corps. I particularly liked the visits to the fortress of boxes and the responses of the gatekeeper of wares. Had you managed to evac alive with the station records this would have been the perfect episode. No wonder its such a popular episode though. Also nice how everyone was civil and just there to have fun. If that would be the result of banning all the repeat graytiders its a hell of an incentive.
It's my favorite because it went nowhere I expected it to. Checkers the Xeno-Human hybrid is also quite popular. The ss13 "Best of" playlist on my channel contains what my fans consider to be the "BEST" episodes of ss13. I leave it for the users to decide. I've been playing it for a decade now and I'll say, some of these episodes are truly bonkers.
@@theblackpantslegion Thanks I'll check them out. I've binged a lot of good ones so far but if they can even come close to this one I'll be more than happy. Didn't go where you expected, that's an understatement! I also love how your fellow mercs played joined in so quickly, and the visible growing frustration on everyone elses faces. I love the schemes and though it didn't seem so at the start that turned into a 3 hour long masterclass of scheming. Also 10 years, I didn't even think the game would have been that old. For a completely free passion of love, working on the game in excess of 10 years I hope the devs have got a patreon or something. Things like that give me hope for the industry as a whole. It certainly seems like the sort of game to promote a great community though so I can see why you've taken to it.
It's why I've given myself over to interviewing people for ss13. One day BYOND will die, and I want their story told. The interview playlist uncovers a lot of the unexpected history of ss13. I'd heavily recommend EXADV1's interview. He made the game back in 03'. That interview re-wrote the accepted history of ss13. From the ground up. Also the goon interviews are hysterical. Now, while I personally rarely (never) watch my own stuff, I will say this, my fanbase seems to like the following:

@@theblackpantslegion Thanks, I'm learning to just take the recommendations. So far the best of playlist has been unbelievably good. The interviews are probably a good shout too, I've been looking for things I could just close my eyes listen to and I'm quite interested in how I managed to never have heard of this game until I guess over 15 years after its release, and to bring me some way up to speed. Plus it just seems like a perfect mix of community and dev working together and thats a lesson I'd like to learn to hopefully bring to other things. Also thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate content creators are probably completely swamped for time. Hope you have a good thanksgiving, painkillers and multivitamins help the headache, antacids usually fix the nausea. Hang in there.

Turns out I was just tangled in a blanket with my dog trying to dig into my leg and my phone was stuck to my face.
I've been watching quite a few of your videos since I first discovered your youtube channel and this and Checkers the Xeno hybrid monstrosity are easily two of my favorite videos of yours.

Here's an idea (which has probably already been done):
Aliens secretly start off in the back corridors of the marine's base. While the humans are just goofing around waiting for deployment, the aliens are growing in strength in the shadows behind them, gradually picking them off until the marines realize what's going on. And then all hell breaks loose.
One larvae vents into a main hallway 5 minutes in, gets stomped into paste by three marines and now half the crew is sweeping the ship for you.

God damn that was a damn fine three and a half hour video. I had a great time yelling at you guys to get the hell out of my Cargo. I was never more then a little actually upset that you guys were in there. I was 99% just playing the role of a pissed off Cargo Master angry at trespassers raiding his supply stash.
I knew the moment I saw mercs in the hanger that you guys would eventually come by to raid my supplies. So I welded the emergency shutters down to try and keep you out. I didn't at all expect the CO to blast my window open to let you in though! Fake shooting myself after you all came back was also great fun. It actually wasn't till the round was over that I even found out that you were one of the mercs so I was pretty surprised by that.
This was a fantastic thanksgiving round that made for a fantastic Christmas present video. As always I was really glad to play a fun part in one of your videos! I should prolly try and join the Discord sometime.

Hello my name is Andrew Anderson i got hired to the station as a assistant but turns out i was a traitor ditching my grey cloths and getting a nice leather jacket and stonewashed jeans oh and sun glasses and combat boots one of my objectives was to kill the chemist so I got a emag a revolver and a switchblade so I made my way to chemistry but he was not there then someone thought is was werid why a guy in a leather jacket was in chemistry hey what are you doing hear I then responded with hey man I'm just trying to see what's up and mabye get some cool drugs form the chemist he bought and and left me alone I am going to skip ahead now to the important bit after getting caught by security I got sent to perma bring and I met a another traitor a cat girl named Miku we bonded over time but when a virus broke out and killed everyone on the station we were the only ones left so starved to death Miku ate my body once I died and then she died END
