Thanks Jason, mine is a Vokera Compact, 13 years old, it tripped out to the red light and would not work at all. I was switching off and on at the wall outlet - nothing, watched you using the boiler switch, copied that and the unit sprang back to life again. It's the following day and everything is working normally, you saved me from a freezing house and calling the engineer, thanks for this ace video - legend.

Thank you, you've just saved me an engineer call out on a bank holiday weekend! I followed the advice at the end which said, try it a couple of times.

Ay mate, you are unbelievable honestly, you are a genius, because I have the very same boiler as in your video in my house, and I have just watched your video at 2 o'clock in the morning, then went straight back to my boiler, which I have been trying to reset and reboot it back into activity, and Wallaarrr....Boiler back on, as I have had 1 Scottish Power Gas engineer here earlier on this afternoon, and he could not get fired up, and I must of called at least 4 or 5 friends looking for advice, and fell on deaf ears every time, anyways, it's time to thank you, thank you for helping me...Deano from LIVERPOOL....👍

Thank you so much for these clear instructions. Sorted the water pressure but then still had the red light. The trick at the end, turning it off by the boiler dial then running the hot tap got that green light to kick in 👌 I now have heating again without the expense of calling an engineer out, all thanks to you! Legend!!!

Good stuff. I have a vokera excel. Upon your instruction I followed my water pipe to find a small black tap, I turned it to hear water but I only had to turn one other tap under the boiler - the 2nd left tap. It’s now fully operational again 👍🏻👍🏻

What you did from 4 min 10 seconds onwards is the reset procedure for your model of boiler. (and some Sabre models)
The sequence of electrical inputs, switched off and drop in DHW pressure, is the trigger to clear stored alarms etc.
But you already know this LOL

I hate this boiler... I recently rented this place and my heart sank during the viewing when I saw this boiler installed, but other good things outweigh that issue. No thermostat, has a hissy fit every time a new cannister is attached outside. Damn thing.
I could NOT get it to start up.
Okay, I thought, let's see if I can FORCE it to give me hot water... turned the dial to the tap, threw the tap on full... and... same as you; job done.
Stupid thing. And what's with the tappets? A bit nineteen hundred and frozen to death.... The manual says pull out the tappets either side if the time you want it on... nope; pull out for how long you want in on. At least I know now, but it's rubbish that it doesn't tell you how to 're-set' at all. Called the letting agent, engineer they use called me, and he told me the tap trick, next week coming to fit a thermostat for me. All good in the end, but unnecessary stress, eh?
