    Had the same thing - constant red light. I restarted the power to the boiler and while it was running through its checks ( coloured lights changing) I opened hot tap and left it run. Boiler fired up and has been ok since. Thanks for posting this, great help.

    Just a comment to say thank you! We've been having different issues with our blimmin' Vokera boiler. And the landlord will neither help nor let us get someone in ourselves to take a look. So I've been scouring RUclips, Google, etc to see what I can safely try. And the tip about turning off the boiler, opening up the kitchen tap on hot, then booting up the boiler again is pure gold. We have hot running water and central heat again. Thank you! Fingers crossed it was just being temperamental and all we needed to do was figure out how to tickle it right. 😂🤞

    You, my little ray of sunshine has just saved me £288. Boiler went red, we fitted some tarpaulin which had covered the exhaust vent, cut it away did what you said and bing, bang, bosh, boiler is working.

    Having this same problem just now, how long do you run the tap after switching it back on? I can get it to go back to a green light, but it doesn't last long, and the water pressure isn't going up.

      I have another video about the pressure. And i run the hot water till it goes hot then switch it off.

    Did you turn the mains power back on WHILST the hot tap was still running?

    • @jasonglen87
      @jasonglen87  5 лет назад +1

      Yes. Also found out if you turn the dial to the off position then run the hot water tap. Then turn the dial back on again this works better

  • @mimaesthetic2517

    When you say 'turned it down", do you mean to the left or right? Thanks.

    • @jasonglen87
      @jasonglen87  5 лет назад

      The position you see them in is where I turned then too. They were all the way to the right hand side. Turning them to the left turns them down. The dial on the left hand side if you turn it to the power icon leave it there for a couple seconds then turn it back to the middle. Then run the hot water that also works

    I have had kettling when hot water tap turned on.
    I also noticed at the end of the video. You have the green light on but also the red led flashing. I have the same issue. Why is it flashing?
    Thanks for making the videos!

    • @jasonglen87
      @jasonglen87  4 года назад

      I cant see any red light at the end of the video sorry. I dont know for sure. I just assume red means bad lol. The reset trick works for me but only if I turn on my hot water tap like i said in the video. I usually get the red bell when I dont pay attention to the amount of money I have in my metre and it runs out (cutting the gas off) and when i turn it back on I need to do this trick. Hope that helps

    • @danielphipps3655
      @danielphipps3655 4 года назад

      Hi, if you look towards the end. I think to the left. You can see a reflection of the green light. Also the red led flashing. Quite shuttle.

    At what point do you turn the boiler back on mate? Do you wait for the water to run warm?

    • @jasonglen87
      @jasonglen87  3 года назад

      No you run the water then turn the boiler on. The water should then run hot within 5 mins

    • @CL-un9gg
      @CL-un9gg 4 года назад +1

      Frani Dance - it’s a British number. Switch the dial all the way to off for ten seconds (I had to click mine quite hard and thought it might break before being talked through it on the phone) Switch the dial back on and run the hot water till the boiler fires up. Keep your dials on quarter past in clock face time for winter and ten past for cooler weather and it should keep the pressure around 2. If the pressure is around 1.5 mins cuts out and it’s only new. Hope you fixed it already!

    • @jasonglen87
      @jasonglen87  4 года назад

      First make sure you have gas. For example if you pay by key make sure the metre has money in it. Second make sure your pressure is between 1.5 and 2. Third if this is all right reset the boiler and run the hot water tap as directed if this does not work then it may be a gas supply issue or an issue with the boiler itself you will need a professional to look at it
