Great guide. I have one question, when I use these settings for my PS4 I can see my PS4 screen and everything on OBS but no longer on my TV. How do I make it so I also see my PS4 screen on my TV? I have an hdmi connected to my PS4 from the capture card.
If you have the same capture card, there should also be an HDMI out so that you can still connect it to your tv/monitor of choice. All you'll need is a second HDMI cable
okay, I had the same problem - everything is hooked up, the feed shows up in OBS but not on the TV. What's not working?
@@danger_design i been having the same exact problem. Also curious on how audio is supposed to be passed through. OBS audo works just fine but i hear nothing through my headset
I have buy a capture video card, but in the guide that come with it, it say, open the software, but it no were on my pc while I clrearly hear the sound of my pc detecting it, and the card seem to work as my console is connect to it, I don't know what to do, do I just start streaming and it work or do I need to activate something first, and where in my pc?
also i did everything in the tutorial that u told me to do, and it did not work pls reply with solutions cause i can see it fine on my tv just not on the OBS

Im not getting any gameplay audio coming into my bluetooth/USB headset. Do i need a separate 'audio output' source or is the problem with my capture card?

Hey. So I am having an issue with my game displaying on my monitor. I plugged an HDMI cable from my xbox to the input on my 3.0 4k capture, and plugged another HDMI Cable From the output to the back of my monitor. Now, when it open OBS Studio, my game is displayed perfectly, but I am not able to see my game on my monitor. If you can help me with this issue, that would be great ! Thanks

yeah mine isn't working. Is there supposed to be three lights? red for power and green for the HDMI cable because one isn't on, either it's that or I'm just unlucky with technology

Hello. I have a problem with this device. Windows 10 sees it without any problems, while OBS STUDIO does not see the device and I only have OBS CAMERA in the device selection field :(

I need help! Ok, so I got I figured out. But I have one of those headsets that has two cords to plug in. One for the mic, and one for the headset sound. When I record the gameplay is as loud as my voice . Does anyone know how to separate audio tracks or make the gameplay quieter?

Sir i have hdmi to usb device but it drops the signals during streaming and Colour bars apear here on screens
I want to stream on my PC but I play on my xbox mostly so i got a capture card. When I connect the hdmi's as the manual says, I can see the passthrough, PC detects capture card and OBS too but it says no signal or its just a black screen. Tried switching hdmi cables and switching places, updated drivers, disabled and enabled on device manager, checked privacy settings on both xbox and PC, etc. Cant seem to find anything online either as most guides are for the elgato. I have a Inateck VD1001

@@ThatCrimson i think it depends on the capture card and xbox resolution. Bought 2, one I couldnt see at all on OBS, and the other I could when I had the xbox on 1080p60. So if you want to play on 120fps or 4k, you will need to buy an elgato 4k60pro or something of the kind. Only way to stream with these cheap cards is if you also play at 1080p60

hello! I was wondering if these would work for outputting hdmi from computer, through the adapter, and into a laptop?
For context, I love my laptop but it's not powerful enough for me. I bought a computer thinking I could input hdmi to the laptop, but the port is output only! I've tried remote connection, but it's laggy and the sound is fuzzy. I'm really hoping for a simple & reliable solution, and a good hdmi to usb is probably my last hope!
why dont you play the games on your computer and use your laptop for others stuff

What's your settings on stream mine got delays like 2 seconds and such. on the sound I'm jumping but my sounds got to recognize the jump after 2 secs.
use the splitter as a monitor in-game don't use the streaming as your own monitor because it has a delay.

What worked for me was when in obs, and you're adding your source, make sure to hit use custom audio device (source, video capture system, then at the bottom it'll say use custom audio device.) it allows you to use game audio in recordings, but it'll be LOUD be default, so go to the audio mixer and make it vertical control, then you get a slide bar to turn it down so it's tolerable 🎉

I have this, the blue model. Anyone have the problem where the colour and image gets ruined? I normally stream Smash Ultimate from my Switch using streamlabs and it works fine except when selecting character and certain stages. Its bad. Wonder if there is an fix for it
