    Your tutorials are so helpful for so many! A tip - you can double click to complete a connected line too, saves right clicking and then selecting complete. You can also trace in one PDF, then copy the shape and ‘paste’ into a different PDF if you’re mashing pattern elements together.
    Thanks again!

    I have a few patterns where I've printed out the instructions and made notes on them for various reasons (like "don't forget to REPEAT on the other leg!") and thought to myself, isn't it a pity that I can't add those notes directly to the PDF? What if I can't find my original print out?
    Now I'm sitting here wondering why I never knew about the comment feature. Something new learned today!

    • @DaileySewsStuff

    How do you change the color of the pattern lines? I have a pattern that the lines are a light color and difficult to see when projecting the pattern. I want to change it to red. Please help.

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  2 года назад

      You can use PDF Stitcher for that! You can increase the size of the lines and change the color. This video shows you how: ruclips.net/video/OyGQQi4WRRU/видео.html

    When I project do I zoom in on adobe? Because then my pattern doesn’t fit the page and I can’t see the whole thing

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  6 месяцев назад

      You won’t see the whole pattern at once when correctly zoomed, most likely. And yes the zoom is changed on Adobe for the scale of your pattern.
      If you mean the projected image isn’t big enough, that can’t be changed with zoom.

    I still have a lot of research to do, but in YOUR OPINION, which do you prefer: PDF Stitcher or Adobe DC?

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  3 года назад

      Both are absolutely necessary! And both are free! This video is about Adobe DC. PDF Stitcher is another video series. Now, If you’re asking about Adobe Illustrator, I personally wouldn’t spend the money on that. I’d get Affinity Designer for those purposes. Or Inkscape.

    Love watching your videos. Very imformative. Question I did some changes and saved the file but when I bring it back up there were no changes. What am I doing wrong?

    • @DaileySewsStuff

      I know we chatted on Facebook, but wanting to put the answer here, too, in case it helps someone else!
      Be sure you tell it "yes" when it asks if you're sure you want to save.
      Some designers don't let you save. Sometimes running through the PDF Stitcher first helps.
      If neither of those are the problem, do some tests with random marks to figure it out before you do something with a lot of work! I'm not sure what else the issue could be but I am certain it can be solved. Ask in the Projectors group or on my Dailey Sews & Stuff facebook page and we can try to figure it out!

    I tried the free trial of Adobe desktop version for the 7days. Now it's not free and can get it without the monthly free of 14.99. So really don't want to pay that much month. I need it for all my pattern adjustments for the projector file. I needed to connect the dots with the drawing tool.

    I checked to make sure I am using Adobe Reader DC. I want to change to projecting darker lines. I go into preferences and click on Use high contrast color and Black on White, click ok; but the projected pattern remains dashed light green lines. Suggestions? I need darker projection. If it matters, this is a Love Notions projector file. Thank you for an excellent tutorial! I will be watching again.

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  3 года назад +1

      I would adjust the projector a bit, turn down the brightness (or turn up if that doesn’t help), make the contrast less and then more, see if that helps at all. You could also trace the pattern with connected lines to get a dark, thicker line. But I usually just work with what I’ve got. A sheet of white paper on your fabric, pulled along in front of your rotary blade, makes a great quick fix.
      If you really want to change the lines, that’s probably an Inkscape thing. I don’t have any Inkscape tutorials but @SunnyMountainPatterns has a basics class and both Marta and Nicole (in the Projectors for sewing group) have Inkscape tutorials.

      @@DaileySewsStuff this is the bit I need too! My room is bright when we have a sunny day. When you print you have the option to print in black and white. It would be really helpful to be able to do this with the pattern. I`ll play with brightness and contrast then I`l try highlightng/tracing over the line. Thank you for a really helpful video, I`m new to using a projector but I`m already in love with it.
